  1. ok so if the maruader has no cooldowns and the powertech has full cooldowns AND gets the jump he will win?

     

    youre reaching pretty far here....

     

    This is impossible marauders will have half there defensive cooldowns every fight because of short cooldown times.

  2. i agree with the OP, but i can't see a 400k unsub fallout. however, there will certainly be a continued decline in population. i know for a fact that on my server, many returned prior to 1.2 to grind up coms for ranked warzones, and it was nice seeing old faces, many of which were great pvpers who understandably left. when it was announced 1 hour prior to deployment that they were not to be included, those old faces never returned.

     

    with the lack of such sustainable influx of players, the queues on my server, along with many others, will just get longer and longer, and with no sight of ranked warzones on the known horizon, the waiting in-between warzones will get more painful and pointless. these people, including myself, will soon be added to the list of old faces on my dying server unless something is done to address this.

     

    so you have a declining population that makes warzoning very painful, and zero incentive for more people to return or even join the game. it can only get worse unless something changes.

     

     

     

    How could you not expect a 400k drop? they lost 24% in 2 months WITH all there shiny new content AND everyone having a free month you can expect another 200-300k to drop when the free month is over just about everyone i know on my server is only playing cause they have free time then when people realize no rateds in 1.3 it will be the end legacy and group finder wont save this game.

  3. What? Are you for real? Snipers and Gunslingers are about as anti-melee as you can get. In fact, unless the Sniper or Gunslinger is brain dead or asleep at the keyboard, they shouldn't lose to a melee class one on one. In fact, Snipers and Gunslingers are one of the only hard counters to Sentinels and Marauders.

     

    They are at the bottom because they bring nothing to the group but sitting in the back and attacking people who are to brain dead to LOS you.

  4. If they dont bring ranked by 1.3 they will lose another 25% of the population. They might already considering atleast 300k + of the subs will drop after the free month is over that re-activated everyones account who was legacy 6+ or 50.

     

     

    Adding group finder wont do anything considering there is no point to do flash points leveling up.

  5. How come whenever an MMO is released the level cap is a measly 60 or less? I think if an MMo was released with a level cap of something like 200 or 150 that not many people could complain about reaching the level cap and being bored.

     

    this isnt wow we dont want level 100 with 300k health

  6. 1. Ranked warzones. People love them.

    2. Chat bubbles. Kolto injection to rpers.

    3. Server transfers and mergings. Now everyone can go to fatman and have us wait 6 hours just to get in.:rak_01:

    i say,a bunch of scoundrel scrappers and operatives should band together and stunlock more people til they unsub! that will show bioware

  8. And for RIFT, almost two million bought/received the game with 250k left, and it's considered successful.

    Rift has barely been out a year and its at 250k and you think its a good thing? how soon before its 150k then 50k then f2p just like this game will be and im also pretty sure rift didnt cost almost 300 million to make.

  9. so you are thankful they fixed someting that should never have been broken? Thankful for vanishing cubes? Just boogle...... I unsubbed today, not paying for this goat rodeo of a mmo any more. It will be free to play within a year.

I agree solid patch cover bug still happens they had to fix breaking the gtn last week and managed to break something completely new ... does anyone else find it amazing that biowares "VETERAN" dev team manages to break something new every week that has absolutely nothing to do with the patch notes.

Bioware is already on a snails pace with the game they struggle to do anything pvp wise for the game it cost 200-300m to make and you think it would be better off with 500k subs .. there slow now and they have a full team still cant imagine how slow patches would come thru when they let half the dev team go. Not to mention every patch they release it brings 2-3 more good size bugs to deal with.

So what happened to subs not going down .... i would say 1.3 is a huge loss considering they launched in 38 other countries and that the only major mmo to release is that horrible game tera just wait till d3 and gw2 are out this game doesnt stand a chance considering it started with 1.7m subs only in euro and us and now its out in 38+ countries all over the world and they can only manage 1.3 with 50% of us still playing because they gave us a free month...

     

     

    I would say 1.3m is a good sub base if subs werent still dropping but all this shows is that between US and EURO the subs have dropped in half and it will continue as long as bioware keeps giving PVPers the middle finger. You would have to be delusional to not realize that most all server populations have dropped in half except for the 2-4 populated servers everyone is rerolling to because bioware cant implement transfers something other games implement during beta..

  13. What else do you guys expect.. this game has been a huge let down since the get go. I personally am not a hater and i wanted this game to do very well but i have lost faith in bioware after every single patch is a middle finger to PVPers sorry to say but PVPers make up more then 15% of the game 15% is more like RPers. Bioware seems to think they can make a RP game with bad PVE endgame and then just continually ignore PVP and just add RP crap over and over and think the game is going to last any player who isnt blind and doesnt play on one of the 3 populated servers has noticed the massive drop in server pops.. my server used to peak 200 people in the fleet and half as many republic side. Now max people in fleet on peak hour is 50 people republic never goes over 20 but i guess the servers are HEALTHY or whatever nonsense bioware is trying to make up to seem like the games doing fine.
  14. ^ As title suggests, the operatives being able to perma stun - kill is really a little out of control.

     

    This isn't an argument, it is what it is and i'm really getting tired of it.

     

    When are baddies like yourself going to realize operatives stuns are no longer then assassin or anyone else a vanguard can stunlock you longer then a operative stuns are in the game get over it.

  15. Take the personal attacks out - post the logfile. They dont lie, they dont troll. Go to the Marauder forum, their numbers are posted for all to see including spec, setting and gear. This conversation is proving to be everything thats wrong with design by anonymous democracy. Focus on the question at hand which is: are we DPSing at a serious disadvantage post 1.2 or not. I say yes. You say no? Show me the file.

     

    I say yes also looking at a marauder you cant just compare DPS try comparing the amount of cool downs a marauder gets to an operative if you really want an imbalance.

    10. Tactical Advantage Laugh Removed: Seriously ***... im not even gonna start.

     

    9. Infiltrate is Totally Useless: Tell me honestly how many times you've use it for something actually meaningful...

     

    8. Stealth is Hardly Sneaky: Even with full Concealment buffs for stealth, there's always a good chance you're not going to get to your target before being knocked out of stealth. Sneak is super useful, and yet it's on a longer cooldown than a charge or sprint. Stealth is like wearing a white cloth over your head and screaming "I'm a ghost" if you are healing or lethality spec.

     

    7. It Takes Forever To Get Out Of Combat: Stealth is our gimmick in this game, and its the only one we have. That being said Cloaking Screen has so much value in our arsenal and shouldn't be squandered because we've ran half way across the map and are still in combat.

     

    6. Our Resource Is Not Effective: Energy blows in comparison to focus and force users who can endlessly waste and burst with no consequences. Even for healers, the curve for heals per energy in comparison to Sorcs and BH was lacking. I don't know how this fairs though in 1.2 because I haven't tried healing yet.

     

    5. It's A Dying Class: Besides Smugglers, were the least played class according to he guild summit. Now we share that demographic with snipers, gunslingers, and scoundrels. How many of us are there really? and why hasn't BW done something to make this class attractive?

     

    4. Lack of Utility: Our only gimmick is stealth and stuns, if we are concealment. Lethality and Healers generally does not rely on stealth to do their jobs so toss that one out. What you are left with is a bag of stuns, a 3 second dodge, and a very weak shield. No pulls, sprints, charges, knock backs, invulnerability, or out of stealth CCs. Our offensive and defensive abilities just don't match up.

     

    3. Constantly Nerfed: I played Concealment in Beta and it pooped on kids. But since then, every major patch has effectively nerfed concealment damage for the soul purpose of Pvp problems. Bioware denies it, but I haven't found many happy with Concealment in 1.2 and they pay the bills.

     

    2. Lethality < Concealment PvE: Technically 1.2 did buff our class with a slight increase to dps and a better rotation, thus making concealment good in PvE again. Unfortunately Lethality is still about 200 dps behind concealment despite it being better for AoE and multiple targets via dots.

     

    1. Lethality > Concealment PvP: Lets face it Concealment is out. I had a full BM Operative who and I can't get my Hidden Strike to crit over 4k for the life of me anymore. I have to roid up if I even want to attempt somethings tricky. My lack of CC gives me little utility, which is something you need when fighting in melee, especially if you dont heal from dots and dmg. We're not bruiser, were not even tanky. The improved rotation, though useful, means nothing when you have to balance it constantly with multiple targets. Concealment is great point to point, but if you defray it over multiple targets you do nothing. With my burst gone, it was easy to pick the more attractive lethality.

     

    Sorry guys for being a *****, I just really had to get this all off my chest. These are the reasons I struggle with everyday. I've been very faithful to this class in hopes of improvement, but it seems BW cares more about other classes, because they have move players. Well if our class in not attractive that's your fault BW.

     

    Ill make this alot easier for your here is 10 reasons why you should quit your operative and play a class that does everything an operative can do and better now.

    Makes alot of sense.....

     

     

    Anyway i dont feel the dmg is the problem i can still burst people down pretty fast problem is survivability. When you look at the survivability compared to a marauder now that they can do the same burst as us makes you think the devs dont even play the game.

     

     

    We get 100% evasion a garbage cool down that lasts 4 seconds with the set bonus and doesnt even evade half the attacks and shield probe which probably absorbs 2k dmg.

     

    Marauders get undying rage a 99% dmg reduction for 5 seconds on a dps class which is better then all my cooldowns already. They also get a vanish .. saber ward and cloak of pain and a charge and perdation an amazing speed buff... I WONDER IF I SHOULD REROLL?
