  1. Am I the only person who actually is starting to WANT this game to fail miserably in hopes a new Star Wars MMO is made by a more competent studio...one that is not affiliated with EA? Think about it. The quicker this game dies, the faster a company will step up to the challenge of making a new Star Wars MMO. One that will hopefully learn from the mistakes of this one.
  2. Agreed 100%. It was our own fault for complaining to BioWare that they needed to launch more servers so that nobody would have to wait in queue at launch. We are the ones to blame for this debacle. BioWare was foolish enough to listen to our misguided opinions and I for one hope they take our advice with a grain of salt from now on. ;)

Please. It was not our own fault. If Bioware didn't have a system in place for what EVERYONE knew would happen (people unsubbing after launch simply because they found the game wasn't for them), then they shouldn't have caved. Kicking the can down the road is failure.

  3. The forum logic never surprises me in the amount of stupidity associated with it. Going to 1 server because you didn't feel comforatable with the population on your server is genius.. really. Listen to why. Your pulling all the populations from the other servers and dropping the population of the server you were on and causing it to be dead and people to be frustrated because they only want one character and in thus they unsub. In addition to that, these servers I don't think were originally intended to hold 2000+ people.

Actually your logic is completely faulty. This is an MMO. If you havent figured out what that little acronym stands for, let me spell it out for you: Massive MULTIPLAYER Online. There are lots of people that enjoy playing the game. But if I have to sit for 3+hours to play a PvP WZ (forget about a flashpoint on the Republic side on my server), I'm not playing the game. I'm surfing the internet on one screen while TOR sits idle on the other.

You are misplacing blame on players who want to actually play the game they are paying for. The blame for people literally being FORCED (no pun intended :p) to other servers to find groups of any sort lies at the feet of Bioware/EA. I have supported this game for a long time and I have finally started coming on these servers the past few days when I started to realize they do not know what they are doing. I had to voice my opinion.

  4. The OP's logic is asinine. It's the equivalent of me buying great looking clothes from a company that fall apart at the seams in a week. I love how they look and I keep buying them in order to help the company stay in business so they can fix their quality issues? Or frequenting a restaurant where I like the atmosphere, but the food sucks; I keep going so they don't shut down while they hire new chefs to make the food better?

Bioware rolled out a very smooth launch, but since then the game has been one bad decision after another. I wonder how much time they spent on Legacy? The ONLY reason I like Legacy is it allows me to buy stuff on my Imperial 50 and send it to my Republic 50. Ordinarily I would hate that, but there is NOBODY on the Republic side making WZs, FPs, OPs and the GTN completely nonexistent. The only way I can get ANY gear is if my Imp character supplies my Pub with supplies.

I haven't officially unsubbed yet. But they have until my July expiration date or I'm gone. And I'll be completely honest, I don't see how they can fix this mess. I hate for people to lose their job, especially in this economy, but all these Warhammer retreads probably shouldnt have been given another crack to begin with.

  5. I loved it when it came out and while my affection has teetered off a bit, I do really enjoy it. I haven't posted in a long time, but after reading all the doom and gloom of the forum crowd I have to comment that their complaints, while unwarranted in the beginning, have started to come to fruition. I like playing this game, but when midday on a Saturday has less than 20 on either side on their fleet, I can't justify paying $15 bucks a month for a single player game. The quitting is sort of like a snowball rolling down a hill. At first it wasn't noticeable, but the more people that quit, the more people get caught up in the destruction.
  6. Actually, I’m very confused. I preordered 3 hours before a friend of mine that already got his invite. I have received nothing. I’m not upset that I didn’t get in first day, but the order by which you preorder is NOT the determining factor of the order you get in. I could use the extra couple days to tie up some loose ends in Skyrim, but I am concerned that the early access is not what they said. Am I not going to get in at all?
