This is awesome! I blew off a review session for class so I could play. Should have known better. Guess I'll pop in a movie or blankly stare into the computer screen :-(

Yep. Got my invite on Friday and haven't had a chance to play the game. I've been able to create my character and select my server, but beyond that nothing. Considering getting a refund if it isn't fixed by Tuesday. No point in buying a game I can't play.

From what I've gathered how they have handled everything to this point, we will receive NO official communication from BioWare EVER in the history of the game.

 

And that's how SOE handled everything with SWG. I guess history does repeat itself. Too bad

To the OP, interesting story...

 

Sadly I work retail and the other day I had a customer who INSISTED that when she purchased product A, she was suppose to get a $5 gift card. With hundreds of promotions every week, I'm just not able to familiarize myself with every last one. Needless to say, the customer was being less then cordial with me about it. So rather then just give it to them, I went to the shelf and grabbed the sign and brought it back and showed it too her.

And the customer was partially correct, they were suppose to recieve a $5 gift card when they PURCHASED 2 of product A, not just one. She of course apologized and went on her way.

The lesson you should take away from this story is read the whole sign and not just part of it. I preordered my game Dec. 13th knowing very well that my chances of getting in 5 full days was slim. But I'm not attacking BioWare for the choice I made. INSTEAD, I'm kicking myself in the butt asking myself why I didn't preorder it earlier.

So just take a deep breath, calm down and learn to read the whole sign. The only one you have to blame here is yourself.

I suppose it would also, depend on the server as well. In other words as a whole their may be an abundance of Healers and Tanks, but they may be concentrated on only a few servers rather then being evenly spread out.

Personally, I'm not going to let that affect my choice. Played as a Jedi in SWG and loved it, but I'm all Jedi'ed out. So I'm going to stay away from the Jedi profession. My guild is on the Vornskr server and regardless of the number of healers and tanks, I will be playing an Imperial Agent (Operative) healer.

SWG was my first MMO and loved almost every second of it. The game and I, had our moments. That is until SOE took a butcher knife and just kept stabbing away at the poor thing until it died. All the while, I'm sure, they enjoyed watching and got a few good laughs as the game was hemorrhaging metaphorical blood.

Anyways, loved KOTOR and my brother convinced me I'll need a Star Wars fix now that SWG is gone. So, here I am
