  1. Faction: Republic

    Level: 70

The conversation wheel for "Pirates, Again" when you click the Turret Control Terminal has no text.

As noted earlier, there are no explosives to disarm for "Dantooinian Restabilization" and the house with the Quartermaster in it for "An Enemy Among Friends" really needs to be instanced or this mission will be an enormous pain to complete. His current respawn time (I timed how long it took for him to respawn after killing him) is around four and a half minutes, which is crazy. It's a much longer time than the open world named targets on Ossus, and those themselves can be frustrating.

The target size for the northeast ship on "Broadside Barrage" seems to have a harder to hit target box than the others. It would also be nice to have more potential targets on the map than required by the mission. I was the only person on Dantooine when testing this; I have no idea how the mechanic works when multiple players are trying to blow up the same targets.

It would be nice for the cheevos for the Dantooine lore items to be named to know which one is missing, and perhaps for the lore to be indexed under the Dantooine planet entry, as is the case with other planets. I came across all but two of the lore items while playing. (I suppose the other two might be impside or inside the heroic areas where I didn't go).

In terms of the Dantooine Cipher, should there be things to read along with that?

  2. The planet arrival schematics for Ossus and Makeb seem to also be of the old, less cinematic style. I got the old cinematic while going to Corellia once, but went back and didn't get it on the repeat attempt. (Ossus and Makeb were the old-style cinematic on repeat attempts.)

I also noticed that you don't get any sort of cinematic if you use the galaxy map on your ship to travel to Section X, but I tested Black Hole after going to Section X (where I got no cinematic) and got the Belsavis entry cinematic while landing at Black Hole.

Hopefully updates for those are on the way. I think this really improves the visual appeal of the game for new players. Most current players probably just use the map to zip about, rather than use their ships, but the cinematics are so pretty that I might travel by ship more frequently just to enjoy them. The battle over Ord Mantell, the ship in orbit of Republic Balmorra, and the warships over Tython and the fleet are nice touches. I didn't test any Imperial-side cinematics.

I noticed when going through all the planets to check out the entry cinematics that the location names on Manaan are displaying as numeric gibberish (areaId, mapNameId, etc) instead of their correct names.

It'd be neat to see the planet departure cinematics updated, too, at least the one where the ship leaves the orbital space station. That one seems more clunky and dated than the others for some reason.

  3. Our HM progression group is seeking a capable, dependable vanguard or powertech DPS for raiding on Wednesdays and Sundays at 6:30 PM PST / 9:30 PM EST.

Our group is pretty new and is currently 3/10, about to clear Sword Squadron. We have a main tank that is 10/10 and several other players that are 7/10 or thereabouts, so we should be making good progress once we have a reliable and competent 4th DPS.

Skill, raid-awareness and willingness to improve are more important than gear. (If you have a powertech DPS and are capable with it, we have no problem helping to quickly gear up a vanguard.) The ability to fill in as a 2nd tank when one of the other tanks has to miss a night is a plus but is not required.

Please PM if interested. Must have Starparse and Teamspeak.

Please include a link to a 4500+ DPS dummy parse, or a link to a good VG/PT parse on a successful HM Torque or HM Underlurker kill.

  4. right you just showed one member, of the 3 i know do it, so? whats the point? lol... its pvp, the whole purpose of it is being an *** towards the person you beat, its not pve... this community is too carebear and apparently get their hurts feeling when a random stranger that play on the opposite faction does an /emote :S

that it certain people, vs GI, whatever the guild tag is not our problem, like i said most of the pvp in different teams and thats why they have that thing... you are better off saying "X person was doing that from hatred" than just labeling us doing that....

    You wanted names.

I could care less about emotes; it says more about who is using them (and by extension their guild) than it says about anyone else in the match.

  5. My only point was that Hatred members were queuing last night, spitting on Ghost infantry members on my team so much that I quite literally couldn't read chat, and then insulting Ghost infantry and calling them "A Pathetic excuse for a PVP guild" when only in Solo Que, and when Hatred had 4 people all on one team.

I understand jokes made in PVP, that's literally the only point of our forums after all, but sometimes it gets too much...

That's not the first Hatred member I've seen do this sort of thing (or the only one). Just the first one where I could be bothered to get a screenshot. Heck, I was in a WZ last night with Carl and a couple other Hatred folks on the other team, and they decided to keep shooting in the dead time after the warzone was over, which is a bit over the top if you ask me, but YMMV.

  6. ALDERAAN

    A) South of the Republic spaceport, perched atop a tower near the edge of the map.

    B. In Fort Alde, perched atop a spire/antenna high above the fort.

    HOTH

    A) In the Starship Graveyard, perched atop the starship wreck that sticks out to the west from the dreadnought at a 45-degree angle. The droid is sitting on the highest point of the wreck.

In all of three of these, they can be seen from many angles.

  7. My guild has downed the Nightmare Pilgrim three straight weeks and I've never seen a pet (or anything else other than gear) drop. We've downed Kephess on Denova hard mode weekly for almost two months and I've never once seen a Wondrous Egg (though the black and red speeder has dropped twice).

Those are admittedly small sample sizes, so if the odds are on par with Karagga's Hat or the thrall droid pet, they could be very rare indeed.

I've probably done HM Lost Island thirty times and never once seen either pet drop (though I know the Mysterious Egg dropped for a guildmate during one of his runs a while back, and I bought it off him).

  8. There are also three new titles in the codex. I didn't see entries for anything else.

SIS Freelancer, for Republic characters (if you choose to end the scavenger hunt by helping the Republic government)

Imperial Loyalist, for Imperial characters (if you choose to end the scavenger hunt by helping the Imperial government)

Capable Sentient, for either faction (if you choose to end the scavenger hunt by helping the Chevin)

  9. I just noticed that my codex now says 9/10 for the events tab, I think that probably means this is coming soon! I would guess it will start showing up after maintenance on tuesday!

I can't imagine them launching an event over a holiday when many people may be otherwise busy and unable to play, but I could be wrong. It's clearly coming soon.

SWTOR Spy has a database dump of the current codex, and it includes the mystery #10 event entry (warning, spoilers at the below link).

  10. I don't think the boxes have anything to do with a future world event (though the wreck of the Stardream was present on Tatooine several hours before the Rakghoul outbreak there started).

The boxes look exactly like the holographic ad kiosks that were present in the fleet before, but with the brightly colored holographic "ads" turned off. It might just be a glitch. They were the same way on the test server.
