I'm wearing this gear on the PTS and it is listed as "adaptive" when you look at it.
Thanks for the clarification was wondering myself if it was adaptive

why isn't containment gear not being adaptive? and will it eventually be made adaptive or not?

Not sure they'd be able to do what EVE does....EVE has a lot more space to hold it's 50k concurrent players. If you visit Jita system (the central hub if you will) on crowded days, it can be almost unplayable.
SWTOR could do this with phases I suppose.
TiDi partially fixed that Worked with goons doing the burn Jita things
Nice to know there are other eve players around aswell

What I really cannot understand is why they can;t give us a freaking direct answers like SOME other mmo's do give.
All we want to know if there will be servers merges, that all we need to know. we don;t give a **** about character transfer or what not.
so please bio-ware for the sake of this bloody game just give US A FREAKING DIRECT ANSWER TO WHAT WE ARE ASKING YOU AS YOUR PAYING COSTUMERS ....

the only way in which stormcaller can drop the spires on the shield phase is by someone having aggro (meaning your healer properly got aggro somehow)
so the most probable answer would be your healer got aggro and your tank taunted it back before it could be noticed by others.
Done EC SM last night with no bug like that all.
make sure your tank is taunting during the defensive system phase

I would say use your guard more keep switching it, I noticed you didn't have it up at all until you switched. when someone getting focused switch guard onto them keep switching guard to whoever is being focused (use guardian leap as well).
as I didn't see you get past the first door keep freezing force up once you get through stay around the enemy and keep using it whenever you can few second extra can get you based the bridges without someone be interrupted while capping them. same goes after the the bomb being planted on the bridge room.

Normally I'm okay with the group we are running worked fine with toth and zorn didn't lose aggro once unless i ****ed my taunts up at the beginning
doesn't really explain how we could go into SM and have no problem at all (though we did change the people play) changed a GS for commando and swap the sentinels around.
Other guardian tank said he has no problem which i find extremely weird :/

Yeah i tried reading the theory crafting stuff i got bored to easily
however what does black hole / camping seem to give a lot more shield / absorb (obviously once i started equipting augments i will just go with endurance and defence rating ones
Once i will log on will link my stats and check how far they off of what is said in theory crafting

I was doing EC HM 8 man last night. I started on stormcaller every time and I would lose aggro at least twice (meaning I had no taunt up to change to firebrand or DPS would die on stormcaller side due to taking DD and getting one shotted by the cleave).
We gave up and went to go to EC SM just for easy black hole commendations and one shotted Stormcaller and firebrand with no aggro issues whatsoever on EC NM.

Wondered if anyone else had had aggro problems? or if I was just failing badly them few tries?

Already tried checking the GTN, Nothing at all, no schematics no crystals. I can;t make the crystals I was going to sell of the a guildie to make them.
Reason i'm asking this to find a base price on both to know how much can actually be made from the crystal. so i would know much i could expect to be put in the GB and possibly take a percentage because i would give it for free.
I'm not afraid of playing the market i did it a lot with stims on my server ^^ just want a decent starting price.

I wanted to know if someone could give me a price for how much i can sell the crystal and schematic off for?

4. Saber Throw 1 agree, 1 disagree
Problem: ST and Force Leap are really our only abilities to hit mobs from a distance; particularly when spread out across 20 meters or so. When setting up for a pull like that I tend to ST one end, Leap the other end, then try to drag everything into the center for a Sweep... all the while hoping that a knockback doesn't throw me out of range.
Solution: Allow ST to hit multiple enemies. I would gladly accept a damage reduction for each additional enemy hit just to be able to tap a few more at the beginning of each pull. I'm not saying ST should be as overwhelming as Mortar Volley, just that it should be a more effective tool for AoE pulls.
It would be nice to have this however one problem with this is that it might break mob CC and also on firebrand and stormcaller if you destroy the shield because it rebounded off a mob and hit the generator your pretty much ****ed of that fight.

What is funny is that if Bioware had made level 50 Champion NPC Rakghouls randomly spawn on the fleet and kill everybody, which would have been WAY worse and more disruptive, the whiners would have had no ground to whine since it would have been "PvE", as they say.

2. Too many buttons
Problem: Sometimes it feels like playing a Guardian tank requires three hands and six fingers. Combining a few abilities would help smooth things out.
Solution: Enure (trainable) and Warding Call (talent) could be combined such that Warding call reduces damage taken 40% while Enure is active. Furthermore, Dispatch could become a passive ability that increases the damage of Saber Throw when the target is below 30% health. That's just a few ideas, there are several other possible solutions.
Just no sorry. do not combine them. would totally **** us over on bosses such a Foreman Crusher in KP where I use defensive cool downs on that boss to make the healing easier on me during Berserk, So combining Warding call and Enure in a way would be a nerf (Depending on Cool Down Rotation on FC) Seeing as for that boss i pop Sabre ward > Enure / amour adrenal > medpack / Warding Call for each berserk. so by the time i have used Warding call Sabre Ward is back off CD
And combining dispatch with Sabre Throw is bloody stupid seeing as you can't even use sabre Throw when your in close range, which would become pointless in any boss fight, Unless they made sabre throw a shorter range which completely go against your point Later on with have only leap and ST are long range damage.

I've tanked kills of the first 2 Denova Bosses on Hard Mode as a Guardian in a mix of Rakata, Columi, a couple pieces of Campaign, and using Vindicator Earpieces and Implants, aka, way less than optimal gear.
Could you tell me the classes which where healing you?
So I'm curious, anyone tried a Hybrid build for tanking in PvE? I'm strongly considering giving this build a shot: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#500hMGzu0MZsGMRMhzzM.1Looks pretty similar to hybrid spec Pre 1.2.
Always preferred defence of the hybrid just because Inner Peace and having better defence cool downs also command when it had the Reduction to the CD of our AoE Taunt. haven't tried it 1.2, However with Shien form is a wasted talent point if your going to be tanking. Commanding awe could be useful however if you do pop focused defence then it's counter productive to what you are doing (Keeping a hold of mobs).
If someone happens to try this out and also try the defence please give feedback

Go focus
if you want to kill a healer 1v1, it can be done say as defence but requires heavy interrupt rotations Awe, leap and Kick ( can't remember if thats what the spell is called ).Though I was only able to do it against Sages and possibly commando's, Haven't tried it on scoundrels yet. This was done before the healing nerfs on sages so it should be a lot easier now.

This is the Spec i ran last night in Explosive conflict, it makes cyclone slash partly useful for AoE tanking however if you do have things CC'ed be careful of where you aim cyclone slash

Right I have a question about end game raiding stats for guardians.
Obviously you need the basis End/Str
But what about
Defence Rating
Shield Rating
Absorb Rating
See i got told to stack Defensive and absorb however it seems according to the Black hole/ campaign Gear the total stats seems to be more dominated towards Shield / Absorb Rating
Was wondering if someone could tell me what the best mix between them stats as I still don't understand :S

1 - Have you seen the new ****** model design's for pve / pvp
2 - do you remember how many bugs they said they "has" fixed which then after the patched still continued for example the Companion constantly showing as constantly wanting to speak to you? and many others which i can't think off
3 - how many times they introduced a new patch and managed to break something else for example SoA resetting aggro after every mind trap on the third phase
Yes they may be improving but their taking their sweet arse time to do it ...

They listen to their player base and improve on feedback when it is given Example being (Vanity items protest). They changed once Us as players started doing something about ...
Jesus doubt bioware could do this if someone threw it in their face

Was planning on using them on my Jedi Guardian for My War Hero gear, already using the War hero Trooper gear for PvE
