  1. My Keybindings are as follows:

    W = Move Forward

    A = Strafe Left

    S = Backpedal

    D = Strafe Right

    q

    e

    r

    f

    c

    x

    1

    2

    3

    mouse button 1

    mouse button 2

    Mouse button wheel click

And then shift plus all of these. It works well and fills the bottom rows. Also, when i wanna burst out damage, i have adrenal, recklessness and relics on

    P

    0

    -

    =

so i can just press them in succession to quickly add like 1k of damage / spell :p

    works well

  2. I took it for the 10sec Force Speed and the force bit is icing on the cake so I can spam my 1.5sec heal and still have enough juice to play.

Exsanguinate: I don't use Affliction, not only is it wasted on skilled players/teams as its dispelled it seems/feels like I'm better off doing other things.

Affliction is what I cast when moving or target is about to LoS while I have nothing better to cast -which includes snare and/or dispel/heal.

Lmao wow. well thats problem number one...

If your target doesn't have affliction on your doing it wrong.

Affliction is instant and cheap. put it on EVERYTHING.

In Voidstar i can put on 8 afflictions in like 5 seconds lmao...well more like 12-20 depending on cluster and movement but 5 sounds cooler XP

  3. Buy L40 gear (and see if you can grab orange belt/bracers).

Buy L46 weapons with expertise and remove all the enhancements(you'll need to buy one weapon for each piece of orange armor you have)

    Get 1 champ bag + 1000/1000 commendation

Once you hit 50 open all your bags and see what you get. Any pieces you can't upgrade buy L49 armoring/mods for and place in the expertise enhancements from the L46 weapons. This should get you 200 expertise minimum to start with.

how much does 1 champ bag cost??

also is there somewhere else i can buy Expertise mods or just from the Weapons/Armour from PvP vendors.

  4. So im a level 35 Sorc at the moment, and since i've bought my level 20 PvP gear, i've been saving up Merc commendations to get Bags for level 50 gear. Now that that is the case, I'm now saving up my commendations for Armor after buying my first weapon.

My question is how else should i be preparing for 50? i want to find out how exactly i can prepare myself for 50 better as all I'm seeing are QQ's about new level 50's that aren't equally geared and are getting smashed to smithereens....

So other than saving up to 1000 Merc Commendations, wat else should i be doing??

  5. Ok i haven't read this whole thread, so i apologize if this has been said, but those of you saying stick with lightning for synergy are stupid. I'm sorry.

OP, if you want high DPS at 21 do yourself a favour.

    Go Madness.

This build is wat i had at 21:

    21 spec

you now have one of the best spec talents for sorc: Madness.

Force lightning is about the become your best friend.

    Then go up to this:

    Level 25

to get Wrath and your DPS will skyrocket i promise.

    Then start building to this:

    Level 36

and your DPS will become god like. Your rotation after this becomes

Affliction and keep applying whenever out

    Death Field

    Force Lightning to get Wrath

    Crushing Darkness

    Force Lightning to get Wrath

    Chain Lightning

Shock, hopefully Chains into another instant Shock to kill them

then the 50 build is either This Madness Heavy or This Heavy CC Build

i love Sorcs :) and don't worry. i was a huge noob once. I started watching streams, doing research, and now i never finish below top 3 in damage EVER.

  6. pretty similar actually...

Your going up to someone not quite in the thick of battle...

Start with Affliction and apply whenever out

    Death Field

    Force Lightning spam till wrath

    crushing darkness

    force lightning spam

    chain lightning

and, if you need a killing blow, shock.

    pretty much it...

  7. Madness is way better than lightning, in the pure way at least. However....

The best way to go is to do a hybrid like this for example. This gives you the best skill in lightning (chain lightning), Forked Lightning for more Damage, more CC's in Backlash and Electric Bindings, and Force Suffusion to never run out of force.

Or you can do something like this for the increased Crushing Darkness/Affliction Damage. This is less burst and more sustained, as your affliction and crushing darkness do a LOT of damage, plus you get the increased damage with Death Field.

The key to these is 2 skills in particular. Having death field and chain lightning is great, but the reason you go into madness are two talents.

    Madness and Wrath.

Wrath is a proc that has a 30% chance of each tick of force lightning to grant Chain Lightning/Crushing Darkness/Lightning Strike to be instant cast.

Madness gives Force Lightning no cool down, which is huge.

These are what make madness...maddening :)

  8. If you would give some links to some specs your talking about we could help you out more. Torhead is your friend. ;)

Haha ok i can provide some actual specs to show wat I'm talking about.

(and as a note to the poster above, watching procs is fine as, with a sorc, I'm always watching for wrath procs and bubble "procs?" so thats fine!)

The 23/0/18 spec I'm looking at is this:

    Kinetic/Balance Hybrid

helps to provide survivability, added CC viability, decent burst but not phenomenal, and good all around DPS. Doesn't use TT much, as no dipping into Harnessed Darkness. Form: Combat.

Rotation: Not really sure...some help would be great :p

Next Spec: Harnessed Shadows...essentially the only reason to go this high without going to 31.

    Harnessed Shadows Kinetic/Infiltration Build

similar survivability, loses Force in Balance for the added DPS/Healing of Telekinetic Throw.

Like i said I'm new to this class so any advice on these specs would be great :p

    Last Spec: Heavy Infiltration

    Upheaval Infiltration 0/33/8

this is the highest Burst build i know about. has the last 8 points for Upheaval, which is awesome in my experience as a sorc, as its just like chain shock right?

Any other tips or tricks or advice for choosing specs? I'm leaning towards the balance hybrid due to having Force in Balance, but i don't know how much AoE is useful for a melee class.

  9. Im thinking of switching over to republic and trying out a shadow, so before i did that i was doing some research into specs. Im coming from a sorc and i figured there would be one or two really good specs.

    I was wrong.

I've seen tank specs burst specs hybrid specs good specs and bad specs.

What I'm trying to figure out is one that fits my play style. The problem is i don't know what that is...

Im only thinking of tanking when i get to higher levels, and if tanks are needed more often ill switch into full tanking.

I like quick damage, but i don't want to die as soon as my target begins to attack me.

So between 23/0/18, 27/14/0, 27/0/14, or 0/33/8 which is survivable and damaging?

    Anyone have some tips??
