  1. 2015 this thread was made, and it still hasn't happened? Doesn't seem like they added any new ships since the initial ones either. Fingers crossed that maybe Galactic Seasons adds a new crop of players to GSF (I am a new GSF player thanks to Galactic Seasons) to make it worthwhile to dedicate resources to fixing some things. Ships being in the collections, new ships added, and maybe lowering the price of said ships.
  2. Honestly, I am really thankful to Galactic Seasons for coercing me into Galactic Starfighter. It's been a blast and has breathed new life into my SWTOR experience. It's rough for the first 3-5 matches, if you match hardcores. But once you start getting unlocks the experience is very much enjoyable. At least for me. Just wish the CM ships weren't so expensive. 15 dollars a pop, and you gotta buy em multiple times I assume since I can't seem to find them in the collections menu.
  3. Obvious spoilers but will put this disclaimer anyway.

Still kinda bums me out that we got nerfed so hard. But eh, guess we had to go back to the Imp vs Pub style of story. It sounds like post-Eternal Empire, we are not tied to Zakuul at all anymore. They are their own entity that we kind of just don't care about anymore, aside from that one mini convo about Koth hunting Exchange folks on route to Zakuul. So if there are factories for the Skytroopers. They would have them, and not us. So what few Skytroopers we did have, likely died when the fleet got obliterated.

  4. Has Treek been nerfed or something? Back in the day she was a god tier healer. Now at Influence rank 19 she's getting obliterated by a rank 16 Lana Beniko. I haven't really used Treek since the companion role change where you can choose what role they use. So I dunno if that change did something to her heals, or maybe I am just crazy and their heals are the same. But I was doing the Star Fortress solo cause I am too scared to ask for a group. First run I did Alderaan with Lana, was pretty smooth. 2nd run was Hoth with Treek was very much not smooth.

Just curious if I am crazy or if there are differences in strength between characters. And if Treek's heals aren't as good as they were before. Cause I remember her heals way back when, never dropped below 30% health. Now she's getting toasted by lower influence characters in the heal department.

  5. Hi Jackie,

Thanks for the reply. I’m glad you’re still reading and passing on our feedback. Hopefully that feedback will have a positive affect (soon ™️) on development decisions moving forward and we will see some tweaks to the system that encourage us to play pvp again.

We know you’re the conduit between us and the team and most of us appreciate the work you are doing. 🙂

Nice walk back on your original comment. Lol

  6. I mean, Vanguards as I recall are similar. Have blast rifles but do most of their damage within 10m range. With that said, it's whatever. Their playstyles are fine imo. Doesn't break my immersion that they are up close and personal either. To each their own though.
  7. There is a specific time and place to watch cut scenes. There is no reason when your running a MM/FP should anyone not be utilizing SB on cool down. Story mode is for the reason of watching the cutscenes. He’ll most FP’s have solo mode now. Go their and watch them. Leave it out of MM for the love of god please.

I am not saying this is wrong, I am just saying instead of freaking out and swearing just say this. Lol. Every time I get a group and someone doesn't space bar it's people going straight to rage mode. I start watching the cutscenes just to spite that guy. I agree, when I am doing flashpoints I want to get through it quickly, no need to flip out like a spaz though. That's the only reaction it seem. Either quiet nobody says anything or people pissed off and swearing over dumb things. People that play this game have no chill.

  8. I don't heal/tank cause you are the easiest to blame when things go wrong. DPS is pretty straight forward. Clear trash mobs/keep them off the healer. More or less. I understand I make mistakes as a healer/tank and I am not here to say I am great but I feel like I am good enough that not everything that goes wrong is my fault. Lol. So I just play it safe and run DPS. I find the SWTOR community to be quite aggressive. Players nerd rage when someone on the team doesn't spacebar. People get very angry very easily. I get why people don't want to play those roles and be yelled at or cussed out.
  9. Just started playing PT, mostly cause I got tired of Merc. Jesus. Lol. PT may as well be called "Please kill me". No point taunting since in 4v4 everyone is already gonna target you. At the very least if I wanna survive in 4v4 I need to be a tank. Even then other tanks have better defensive cooldowns and can close the gap better. They even have better healing properties. We get Shoulder Cannon and Kolto Overload but still falls behind other tanks.

PT is definitely not in a good place in PvP, especially 4v4. PvE they seem to have some heat issues, but they do some good damage so it's not too bad. Seems like PTs never really got updated with other classes, so when the nerfs hit they became all but useless in PvP. They need some love. I don't care how OP they were once upon a time. I feel bad when I play PvP now cause if I get a 4v4 game I know I'll just get obliterated and let my team down. I am not good and to compound that PTs aren't that great either.

  10. I found a good amount of stuns have a cast time. So I just stun/interrupt them. The only instance it was really annoying was during KOTFE, when Arcann shows up on Asylum. Standard Knight's stuns were instant and they lasted seemingly forever. And since they were in groups of two every 50-60 meters I can only break so many stuns before I just have to wait em out. Lol. But other than that one odd chapter most stuns in the game can be interrupted if you notice them start casting one. Just gotta be aware and do more than just attack. Ya know? You don't even need to stop attacking since interrupts have their own cooldown.
  11. Usually there's a half price collections sale, starting either Black Friday or Cyber Monday. But maybe we won't get one this year, since there was already one just before 6.0 launched.

I hope this isn't the case since I missed that collections sale. But hopefully at least we see some weapons go on sale, specifically lightsabers. All the lightsabers are way too pricey for my cheap butt and I wouldn't mind actually using something other than the Vindicator's Lightsaber. Lol.

  12. I think it really depends on when and how you interact with Tau.

When I first encountered her it was on my Merc. So of course I really disliked her at first. But when I ran through with my Jedi, oddly enough Empire sided, it was a bit different. Tau is like a less whiny Anakin. A capable warrior but seems to be battling some inner demons IE dark side urges. Keep in mind I have only just completed Ossus as a Pub player. The Anakin comparables continue as they want to give her a Padawan just like they did Anakin in the Clone Wars show. I prefer Anri much more so far, but I am curious to see where Tau's progression goes. Would be pretty neat to corrupt her. The only instance of Sith corruption is through the Sith Warrior stor (not sure if it happens during the Inquisitor story I don't think it does otherwise I'd remember) sadly. Would be cool if they expanded on that more by letting us corrupt another Jedi.

  13. Based on last night's episode, I'm going to go out on a limb and say Mandalorians are now cooler than Sith & Jedi.

Being able to play a Bounty Hunter is why I bought this game on launch. Makes me sad that people only care now because of a tv show. Bounty Hunters/Mandos have always been cool. Guess I should be happy people are starting to jump on the wagon, regardless of their reasoning. Lol. Although it does make all my flashpoints have nothing but Bounty Hunters now. I always enjoyed the diversity of flashpoint squads.

  14. I am a returning player, been gone about a year. Are the mobs unreasonably strong in these activities. KOTFE is not so bad, I can clear the content, but feels like it takes unreasonably long to kill trash mobs in comparison to a year ago. Iokath is much, much worse and I was running 280+ plus gear when I did it today. But the story missions immediately following the return to Iokath storyline were much easier. Including the newest content. It's weird that I am plugging away at trash mobs for seemingly too long in older content but the newer content I am breezing through.

On a side unrelated note, is it possible to see which decisions I made in past chapters. I am 4 chapters in on my PT but I don't remember if I bowed to Valkorion or not. And I wanna try keep my decisions consistent. But I am okay having my BH be all flip floppy. Lol.

  15. If you like it, use it. I waste so much money playing dress up it's insane but that's what is fun to me. Making my characters look cool to me. Yeah I could use that money to actually help gear up, but that's no fun. Lol. But with that said, 80mil could get me a lot of outfits. I'd probably sell it. :p
  16. I agree, but Malgus never should have died to begin with. Or at least not in the way they did it. Flashpoint death is relegated to nobodies/less notable people, not the face of one of the two factions. So I don't mind Malgus being brought back, especially since I really liked the guy and never wanted to kill him to begin with. I just hope they don't go rez crazy. We don't need the Emperor brought back, we don't need Vaylin or Marr or whomever else.

Also as a comic book and Dragon Ball fan I am pretty used to death not really sticking. So bringing him back didn't rustle my jimmies or nothin' even if I weren't a bias fan of Malgus. He has a cool voice, a cool look, and is one bad MFer.

  17. True, I did skip places where the game just is unbalanced (seen a lot more of that with KotFE/KotET more than any other area, mostly because to start with, the MOBs there have stats out of whack with the rest of the game - takes twice as long to kill those mobs pre-6.0; I shudder to think what 6.0 has done to those health monsters now.

Rebalancing does need to happen - no game as a story player should feel impossible. And frankly, with all the overleveling in the game, we could stand to lose some XP throughout the KotFE and KotET - pulling out half the mob encounters would make it a lot more enjoyable rather than taking 5 steps and spending another 10 minutes taking down 5 mobs.... being only mildly facetious here...

I tried to do the Star Fortress stuff when they unlocked during the story and got mollywhopped in my 210 gear. Lol. Sucks that I either need to hit level 75 before going into KoTFE to get 270 gear or do them after the story when I naturally hit level 75, which at that point the Star Fortresses don't matter in the universe for that character. Balancing is definitely outta wack for KoTFE. It's not impossible to play but feels oddly slow.

  18. I miss Malgus. :(

On a side note I prefer the "softer" SIth. They don't just see something as "waiting to be destroyed" and can be somewhat reasoned with. Being 100% dark or 100% light seems dumb to me, not talking about the in game dark/light bar. Talking about NPCs dark/light style. Light are too naive, Dark are too cartoon evil. The good characters are the ones that are able to blend somewhere in the middle, either leading slightly dark or slightly light.
