Thanks for ruining it. Now all those people that get their jollies from ganking people are going to sit there wait for people to pop in to do their H2.
Well, unless I'm doing a FP or OP,I don't even bother to switch out of my full 208 PvP gear anymore so they're free to try and gank me
-
Seriously, It's great for when you want to do Heroics and not have to worry about any competition for mobs or anything. All you need to do is switch to a PvP instance and you will be all alone and free to finish up your Heroics in record time. I'm sure this was Bioware's true reason for implementing this feature

Omg, don't listen to this person.. They have no idea on how to play madness properly.. These people are just fluffing
For the most part I stay away from force storm and only use it when absolutly necessary. I keep hearing sorcs numbers are all fluff and I try not to fluff them up anymore than necessary
-
In ranked 4's a good madness sorc will do around 3200-3600 (depending on the situation) and about 2700-3000 when tunneled/shut down. In 8's, it's hugely variable. If the other team is stacking and has a bunch of healers, you can do 5500-6000 fairly easily. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1sYJXnGTB-sW90LSugCGr3A5yvk6wP29mSbdxtQMm0mQ/edit#gid=0
Ultimately it's about putting out enough pressure to get targets low enough for the burst dps. In some matches it'll be 3k, in others it'll be 6k.
It's pretty funny, the day I write the OP I do a personal best of almost 2800 dps in an unranked 4x4. I'm starting to think I've mostly been a victim of circumstance so far. I've only been seriously into pvp the last month and a half or so and this was one of the first times I had a great healer and was able to just let loose and dish out damage.
-
I'd consider myself a (slightly) above average madness sorc. I'm almost always near the top of the charts in total damage, objectives, and medals (PLUS I actually call out incoming and/or help those who do ). Yet I can't seem to top the 2k dps mark. If these 4k dps madnees sorcs really exist what's their secret? What's their "rotation" and gear look like?

No Flop.
The majority of people who enjoy PVP queue willingly for PVP.
The chances of some new player, or some PVE-er being forced into PVP and finding they actually enjoy it is an anomaly imo.
All this quest did was throw a bunch of people into PVP who don't want to be there, and make PVPers who do want to be there more angry and annoyed with people not properly geared for PVP.
It did not improve PVP, it has only made it worse imo.
Obviously the lure of this companion is pretty strong for so many players to force themselves into PVP for it. I think it's a poor design if this was meant to increase participation of PVP.
I must be an anomaly then. I spent a Sunday in PVP just to get Pierce. I've been a sub since launch and have participated in maybe a dozen or two matches total over the past 4+ years. For the past two weeks now I find myself exclusively doing PVP. I've become quite addicted to it. I still have a long ways to go until I would consider my performance in the warzones as anything other than average but everyonce in a while I find myself near the top of the charts in damage, objective points and medals and it makes me want to become even better.

And they just closed my third ticket saying they don't offer the service requested. Customer service in this game is terrible now.......
-
So far I've had two separate tickets closed on this matter with no resolution. Sent in a third one last night (I've put all the tickets under different category headings since it's not really clear where you should send this problem.) Hoping the third times the charm. My guild finished top 10 in points so I'd REALLY like the rewards I should've earned.
-
i'm really hoping that if you send in a ticket they will make sure you get the rewards you deserve. I crafted enough war supplies to hit the 35k mark on two separate toons. If i get no reward then that was a serious waste of mats because the finished product does not sell for any where near what the individual mats would have sold for
-
I had the same thing happen to me yesterday. Guild is invading Makeb so I crafted around 70 various war supplies yet only received around 50,000 conquest points. The last 20 or so war supplies I crafted gave me NO points at all. Something is bugged for sure. Sent in a ticket so we shall see if they can fix it......
-
I had it happen to me on Jedi Covenant. It switched back to death mark after i switched toons but then I didn't get any conquest points for the 20 or so war supplies I crafted later that day

I remember the good ol' days when vanguards could be ranged in assault spec.....
-
I'm all for it now. I used to use my Vanguard as a rDPS but after they nerfed some of the ranges from 30m to 10m thats no longer viable

I think the GTN is just broken since 1.2. if you look under relic, implant, earpiece and i think there are other catagories there is nothing listed, but if you search by specific name stuff will pop up that belongs in those catagories

I started a merc first and got him up to lvl 28 but I found myself always picking the lightside options. I figured if I was gonna do that I might as well just play a trooper and now my troopers up to lvl 45 and probably my favorite toon
-
Good to see I'm not alone. I went back to Alderan to do the bonus series and I decided to help a group doing proof of treason, they all got killed and at I few points I thought I might get killed. I'm 17 freaking levels above this mission!!! I shouldn't have gotten a scratch let alone below half health

You lost me. I've had 2 encounters with jaxo. still no affection change from elara. Just want to know what I need to do to marry her. I mean it took forever jusst for her to warm up lol
What's your level? I had her at 10,000 affection for a while now and nothing happened until I hit level 45. then I got hit with about 5 conversations in a row! Now she even sends me gifts in the mail

I occasionally make gear-sets up when I see newbies in crap gear & no legacy name then post it to them COD for 1 Cred - why 1 cred? because then they got a really good deal & not charity - I don't do charity.
I like this! i like this a lot! I think i will start doing this. I have so many level 1 and 2 mats for Armormech that I can spare a few armor sets

It's generally fine if the mobs have gone 'grey', meaning the player has damaged enough that they will get the drop/credit even if someone else takes them out.
That's usually the point where I step in. When I see somebody completely surrounded and all the enemies have greyed out healthbars I'll drop down some AOE
-
Now I say this half jokingly but also half truthfully. Why do the majority of people playing this game not help out any of their fellow players? If I'm going thru an area and I see some body in trouble I'll lay down a little fire to help them out and then be on my way. If I see somebody repeatedly LFG for something like a Heroic 2+ and they're being ignored chances are I'll go give them a quick hand even if I've already done the quest. And just today I pulled somebody up onto the sandcrawler on Tatooine with my Trooper's harpoon after they missed the platform to get the strength datacron. Things like this are easy to do and don't really take much time to do them for others and it makes the game much more enjoyable. I guess I'm just hoping that there's such a thing as Karma and when I need some help somebody will be there for me
The DvL event has reminded me how great this game WAS at one time...

and it makes me sad to see just how far the game has declined recently. Gone are the days of vast open worlds with numerous optional quests to explore that had every bit of dialogue fully voice acted. These worlds felt alive and the quests felt meaningful and all the voice acting really immersed you in the story.
Now we get to walk down narrow hallways or alleys for the most part and stare at the back of our characters while we read the text on the screen (most likely reminiscing of the days before or character became a mute).
KOTFE would have made a fine game on its own. But to make it part SWTOR just doesn't feel right to me. The style of game play that the developers decided to use for KOTFE just doesn't mesh well with the style of game play that we all grew accustomed to in SWTOR. The contrast in style just makes KOTFE seem cheap and rushed to me compared to the great game play that preceded it.
