  1. Yes, it's often bugged. It was bugged for me too. After some frustration and waiting, I checked Dulfy and she said to log out and log back in. Then the item was there to loot. It should not matter whether the Rakghoul event is still live or not. Let us know if that works for you!
  2. After the 4.0 changes, I have heard that crit is better than it was (since it includes surge now), but I don't know if it matches up to mastery or power. For example, I don't know if a +41 critical lightsaber crystal is better than a +41 power lightsaber crystal, for DPS. I know many of you have done calculations on this--would you mind sharing your results? Thanks.
  3. I recently returned to playing SWTOR, because of the Cathar, mostly (been waiting for that for a long time). I still love this game. I am hoping to encourage some of the members of my gaming group to return to the game as well. What are some reasons you can think of to entice them to come back? So far I have:

    1) Cathar

    2) Cosmetic customization

    3) Achievements

    4) Consolidated commendations

    5) Recurring Gree event

Any other ideas? I'm recently back so I may not know all of the improvements that have been made to the game.

  4. Im not sure if this is the right place but here goes. I'm loving the collection system but i was wondering if its possible to add my pathfinder cartel armour set (lvl 31) to my collection? I cant seem to find a way to do it ive been hearing things like take out mods and such but that can be expensive for a poor man like me. Plz help

The answer to this is yes and no. Yes, you can add your pathfinder set to your collection, by equipping all of the pieces on one character. You do not need to remove the mods. However, you will not be able to unlock it for duplication at this time. That option is unavailable for armor sets that come with mods in them. I am really, really hoping they will change that as I have a level 31 set, the Outlaw's Armor Set, that I just love and would love to unlock it for duplication. I hope they will make it so you can duplicate it without the mods in it.

  5. A Dev recently said in a Q and A that sometime in the future we'll be able to add augment slots to existing moddable armor. Not quite as good as being able to RE it but the same effect, in the end. Flexibility in appearance!

    Quote:

Georg Zoeller (Principal Lead Combat Designer): It is possible to obtain ranked War Hero appearance with augment slots from crafters on the GTN. The schematics for the those items can be found on the PvP vendor and a critical success while crafting them will result, as with other armor, in an additional augment slot.

It is also worth noting that we will be adding a way to add an augment slots to existing modifiable armor in a future game update.

  6. I do not think it's a pointless thread, I think it is a very valid question. And it leads to a valid suggestion, that we be able to RE items we create for mats, if nothing else. That would be the logical thing to do. Alas, at the moment that is not an option...so vendor those puppies!
  7. Your legacy name should be intact; I have read many grumpy messages with people wanting a new legacy name who deleted all of their characters only to have their legacy remain the same. At the same time, you have eight character slots...why not keep the old character and choose a name just slightly different? Up to you, of course.
  8. Hi, I'm not an expert but since your question had already scrolled down to the fifth page with no answers, I thought I'd give it a shot.

    1) Is it worth buying schematics...honestly, I don't know. I think it depends a lot if you like the looks of the armor, intend to RE it to get a purple, etc. If you're just going for end game then you can probably skip them, but I think that's where the fun is.

    2) I am not positive but I think that if you add mods to the piece, you may bind it to you! Then you cannot sell it at all. Experiment on a cheap piece if you want to try it. Armor with mods already in it is usually from drops. Also, you may affect the usable level of the item which could have negative consequences. The GTN lists it at 200 credits because to the GTN it is a "common" item as it is created and the number created is theoretically unlimited, compared to drops which are limited. Ignore that and put it up for a good sum; I think any orange item should sell for at least 5000 credits unless it is ugly. :)

    3) You are correct; the grade of the power crystal is pre-set for the recipe and using a better one will not make it better (in fact, you cannot use it). That is just how they've set it up. It's not because your crafting skill is too low. As your crafting skill increases you will be able to make higher level items which require the higher level components, but the items you are currently crafting will keep the same low level component requirements.

Hope that helps...and someone please correct me if I said anything wrong.

  9. It's a valid question. First, open your inventory (I) and then unpack the gear, if you have an outfit. Right click on it and pick the option for that. Then, open your character page © and click on the tab at the bottom for your companion. Then you can equip the pieces you wish.
  10. I would focus on your main--the legacy name he chooses will be automatically given to all of your other alts on the same server. I believe they can take the name and start earning points from the very beginning; correct me if I am wrong.
  11. You are right--you will get early access, but no one knows exactly when they will get in as they are doing rolling invites 2 hours apart. With luck, yours will be soon! They will email you the day you can access it.
