  1. Even on high end systems it runs like trash. It is their crapola engine.. not your computer. Do not upgrade for this game.. It isn't worth your money.

P.S. This game lacks the ability to thread well. It is a programming problem.. not a pc problem.

With all the settings on max, including anti-aliasing, with V-sync on, i get 60 FPS everywhere but Ilum during a major battle or the republic fleet (still around 30 FPS or more). On Ilum it usually dips down to 30 FPS with 20 or more people, and if there are more than 50 people it can drop down to 15 or so. But still, those circumstances are rather extreme and everywhere else i get good FPS.

  2. Seriously, that planet has the best atmosphere in the ENTIRE game. It really DOES feel like you are on a war torn planet that is the focus of a great conflict, much more so than Balmorra. Also, the pseudo-coruscant feel without it being completely on rails makes it all the better.

Who else just LOVED the look of Corellia?

  3. I'm a mercenary healer.

    I have no interrupt.

I have no scorpion "get over here!" ability.

    I have no force leap.

I have no force speed run away ability.

I have no ability to avoid tracer missile spam aside from the 5s cc that's on a long CD.

    So what should I do?

    Spec for tracer missile.

  4. Actually you're leaving one important bit of information out.

First you need to roll a mercenary and bind all of those to tracer missile.

  5. Ok this is by far the worst quest I've played. I've literally stopped playing once my death requeue time reached 10 minutes. I get having stuff difficult but for ****s sake, this is not an optional quest. My sage and Qyzen got his *** kicked every single time.

You have not taught me a *********** thing Bioware on how to defeat such hard enemies. Yes, to all the haters, I suck at games and am a "casual" player who doesn't mind a decent challenge. But a class action/abilities puzzle that is just dumped on me by a sudden wall of difficulty. Not fun/interesting at all.

I even went forward to Hoth, who's quests were fun/easy-ish, leveled to 40, came back, and still got my *** kicked.

If I wasn't an active board poster and didn't find this post, it would have definitely made me stop playing my Consular and probably eventually unsubscribe. At this point, I'll trudge back, use my whirlywind CC thing to stop dudes, and just push through. But me=not even close to a happy customer.

Wait, you didn't use whirlwind and are crying about it being too hard?

Do you even interrupt the NPC attacks when necessary? You aren't supposed to be able to faceroll everything and if you take the time to learn from Attis Station the experience there will make you a much better player.

I personally did not die once from that place... but that likely comes from being an MMO vet, where CCing the big bad in tough fights to clean up trash has always been a good idea

  6. I don't understand the massive knee-jerk reaction. They still trounce light armor classes (read: sage/sorceror). They still have that annoying as hell area mezz flashbang. They have one of the quickest cooldowns on a stun in the game. They still put out the best alpha strike in the game.

Now, that being said.... I would not be opposed to them having their original stats for PvE, but the new ones for PvP. It would be as simple as the split damage abilities that some professions have for strong vs normal/weak targets. That is completely reasonable to me

  7. If your getting too much huttball it means your on the side that has more pvpers than the other (usually empire). If you wish to get a more varied warzone selection choose the underdogs (usually republic).

TL;DR If you get too much huttball, roll a char on the other faction.

  8. actually, vanguards are still pretty decent damage dealers. They aren't as good as commando, but ignoring a vanguard thats on you at close range will eventually be your death. They lack spike damage, but they put out reliable damage per second and have a good amount of utility, mainly in harpoon.
  9. On my server republic loses 7/8 the time in the 50 bracket, but oddly enough wins just a bit over half the time in sub 50. The level 50 bracket actually has the issue of too many healers, mainly sages, and usually no tanks, with the only other class being DPS. The rare times we do win is when we only have 1-2 healers and a good mix of tanks and DPS.

Really, this varies from server to server and thats why devs cant apply a "one size fits all" band-aid to the problem.

  10. Yeah the pointing and laughing thing is happening. If you own the left turret, the leftmost speeder goes to it. If you own the right turret, the rightmost speeder goes right to it. Mind you, that's AS YOU FACE OUT OF THE SHIP. I take no responsibility for confusion caused by confusing cardinal directions on the map with left and right, nor with facing the wrong direction, or basically any other means people use to get utterly confused by simple concepts.

Welp, guess im the fool then. I've just never seen the opposite happen.

  11. I'm a healer sage and nothing makes me go fuuuuuuuu- like an operative getting the jump on me. If he is a GOOD operative there is no virtually chance of survival even with my CC breaker, stimpack, and force run all ready to go. The only time i ever survive this is if a tank notices me getting destroyed and pops guard on me, otherwise im toast.
