I just finished lvling my sage - Been playing Assassin before hand. I miss the options stealth give in terms of ninja'ing things, but outside that I find that sages are a fine class that can perform very well, and got a good arsenal of tools to work with.
Heres two vod's from some streams I did while gearing to partisan, so keep in mind that I am pretty undergeared, I am by no means the best or even close at playing sage, but hopefully it can help you with your decision on wether or not to try out sage for pvp.

Every class can put out high numbers, specialy if the quality of players in the wz are below the person playing said class, in this case it just happened to be a sage.

for lvling outside warzones and flashpoints using a healing specc is proberly the worst thing you can do, its the slowest thing ever.
Just got my sage to 55 3-4 days ago, through a mix of story/quest and wz queueing.

As for what to pick while lvling in wz's its pretty intuativ, you dont touch any of the other trees before you completede the healing one.
For good meassures I thought I'd throw in 2 streams I've run while gearing up so you can see how the specc works.
I am by no means the best sage out there, but I do think I am pretty damm solid.

you guys are doing it wrong, CT are not meant as dmg, the dmg part is a perk, the amazing thing is the 2 sec root on a 9 sec cd.

If ppl try their best, and do not repeat the same braindead mistake time after time, sure.
However if ppl fail to correct simple mistakes, repeat them. And perform like brain damaged cat, then I'll be the first one to point it out for them. This game like most mmo's are not rocket science, and are pretty damm straight forward.

its so so, got GW2 where I got a competetive team running. Atm swtor is mainly to pass time when our team is not playing, so might pickup some steady rwz if I can find a team that I feel comfortable with. Otherwise I'm just rofl'ing at bads in normal wz's.

Trololol played 2h last night after beeing away from 3 months, both imps and reps are as bad as they used to be, nothing changed on either side.

Not in PvP.
Whirlwind and lift sometimes bug out, causing you to stay mezzed whilst you're taking damage, but the damage you do receive is greatly reduced.
So if he was in whirlwind for the duration of the fire and it didn't break, he was taking reduced damage.
no it doesnt bug out, if you use WW while your in DC, then your ww doesnt break on dmg, and the target takes 75% less dmg.

hybrid are bad rly ... cannot work in rated neither in pugs ...
Defense Veng/immortal is arguably the best jugg specc for rated ....

I played LS untill I got betrayed, then I switched to DS for the revenge part of the plot, overall it was a pretty cool expirience, and the story itself is nice - I personaly got the most satisfaction of running the story with mixed choices.

Wasting your breath. I agree but half the people that post in this area don't because they probably know they'll have a tougher fight if they weren't out gearing everyone. These are the same people that thought there was nothing wrong with full BM geared 50s in 10-50 warzones and didn't want brackets. Why? So they could farm.And yet I've had immense fun on my recruit geared jugg, and been doing well while doing it, as usual l2p issue from bad players.

This has been discussed so many times.
PvP gear is fine. If your not doing well in wz's its because your bad, not because of the gear.
My main is bis geared Sin, and I finaly finished lvl'ing a jugg to 50 today, and been doing wz's most of the day in recruit gear.
Ofc. I am not on top every game, and I can feel a difference in gear, but I am far from useless in recruit gear with taunts, interceeds cc etc. and I can put out enough dmg to justify me beeing there,

Sadly, no. There are many out there who lack the testicular fortitude to make it in ranked PvP, so they run their premades against PUGs to feel better about themselves. These are also the scrubs who have twink alts, forever capped @ 49 so they can troll the lowbie bracket as well.
Thats one theory, another thesis would be that ppl are tired of playing with awefull ppl, and by awefull I am talking about those select few who got trouble tying their shoes. So we choose to bring ppl we know are not completely incompetent.
If thats a problem for you, get 3 friends to queue with you.
And if you can't find 3 ppl, who are willing to queue with you, then maybe your in the groupe of select few I was refering to.

I can assure you that deception infiltration is not broken. My sin is lvl 48 and this spec is extremely powerful. the damage we do is single target we have fantastic control and when I finish matches with top dps, 0 to 1 deaths and usually 3+ MVP votes I'd say the class is working as intended. I have tons of raw footage of these matches to backup my statements.SS <- This does not mean its good, facerolling someone in the 10-49 bracket as lvl 4, is basicly the same as facerolling random warzones in BIS gear is not the same as a specc being viable.

If you are talking to me, I play every class. I favor the fotm classes in pvp because... I want the most performance, im not some RP loyalist, if you nerf my class into the ground i dont QQ, i just reroll. things change ya know
Whatever floats your boat, bad players are bad, the class doesnt matter.

for my part you can all get full wh gear when you ding 50, 99% of you will still suck and QQ on the forums.
