Also, you can only use an AOE taunt if you are in Soresu form. Vigilance / Vengeance cannot use an AOE taunt

All I'm saying is...Can we please not be so fast to criticize people? I'm actually not that bad at PvP, I just don't have the gear..but lately it has been 'no gear = you suck at life, just go away'. Statistics show teams that work together do better than those that do not.

So today was the day I decided to come back to TOR after at least a 6 month break...Out of the 15 matches I played today on my sage..I often found myself the victim of geared players getting mad at me for not having gear. Now..I'm not the best PvP'er either, but I seriously don't even want to PvP anymore because of how mean some of you people are. Maybe some of you should try an encouraging approach as opposed to being total *** holes to everyone.

I call lies. RP and PvE carebears always come into the WZ queues without any gear or skill, and refuse to listen to general instructions, advice, and strategies. You do not let us have fun.
I run an RP guild, and I am one of the better PvP'ers on the server. Though I understand where you are coming from, I have yet to see an RP'er / PvE'er go run and hide in a corner during a match. They do what they can with the gear they have. It's not their fault there is no other way to start PvPing other than to hit the ground running at 70 miles an hour. There is literally NO other way to get geared for PvP'ing. And lets face it.....Nobody likes taking orders from anybody, much less a stranger.

To be fair that is all an RP server really is, those that RP, and those that troll RP'ers.

Sounds interesting..Would love to hear more about it, but..Permadeath is going to kill off your member base. Not everyone can afford a species / name change at any given time. I also believe you will also have a hard time recruiting slave girl RP'ers, but like I said..I'll come along if given more info

Not sure how many of these responses are sarcasm or serious, but I kindly ask that you all just respect each other, including this event. This event was designed to create unique RP experiences, and it's not fair for it to be ruined by PvPers who can just as easily go set up their own PvP-oriented events.
If you want your PvP fix, there are plenty of outlets: Tuesday evenings are designated for Ranked PvP, Saturday evenings for World PvP, and if you haven't already joined, /cjoin enemies is the global-global PvP channel on both factions.
There is absolutely no reason to show up to this event with the intent of trolling it or trying to force it into something it isn't. There are alternatives to getting your gaming preference fix, and all it takes is a bit of effort on your part. We're trying to build our community up, not break it down.
Couldn't have said it better myself..The intention of this post WAS NOT in any way shape or form, an attempt to attract trolls...Look we get it..Your gear is good, you are better PvP'ers than us, but please let us RP'ers have our fun as we let you have yours. This is an RP-PVE server, not a "Lets troll the people who have different preferences than us" server.

Character Name: Maddonarch
Current Position in the Empire: Sith Lord
Character Background: Born on Alderaan, and raised in House Rist, he was trained in various forms of combat by his father, one of the more elite warriors working for the house. The mother became terminally ill and passed away 13 years after the birth of her only child. The father slowly fell deeper and deer into depression, resulting in decreased combat efficiency. The boy, being an exceptional swordsman for House Rist, began taking on jobs for the House in an attempt to regain his families prestige in the House. During one of his first jobs, he encountered a Sith Lord, who could sense the teenager's strong connection to the force. The Sith Lord gave the teenager an ultimatum, join the Empire, or die. The teenager eagerly agreed to join, adopting a new identity, "Maddonarch". The Maddonarch graduated from the Korriban academy at the top of his class. Darth Vorsche took him as an apprentice. Under Darth Vorsche, Maddonarch attained the title Sith Lord. Darth Vorsche also admitted Maddonarch into a secret society among the Empire, which pooled together the resources of Sith, Mandalorians, and Imperial Agents for the individual advancement of it's members among their respective ranks. While running his master's dealing on Nar Shaddaa, Maddonarch's master has mysteriously disappeared and with him, Maddonarch's only connection to the secret society.
In-Character Reason for Joining: Wants to serve a cause that better's the Empire as a whole
Out of Character Reason for Joining: Want to get into a good RP guild on the East coast, really like this guild's structure and story background
Role-playing Background: Did a little roleplay in 2010 while playing WOW, really got into it when SWTOR released played until Operation Nightmare was released, then took a break from the game due to old guild disintegrating and changing locations in real life
Preferred Event Times: Usually a late night gamer (login around 10-10:30PM EST) , but can make earlier events if planned ahead of time

-Darth Vorsche was an actual person
-The "secret society" was an actual guild
-I started this character, and joined a guild around lvl 15-20 and created his own little story through RP, after graduating Korriban of course
-All life story events Before being admitted to Korriban aren't public knowledge

your probably too low of a lvl. if you are 3 lvls lower than the target area for the quest, its possible to complete the quest, its just going to be hard. when the quest is yellow you shouldnt have too much of a hard time beating it especially if you use stims.

i liked nar shadaa the most, although i wish they would have made it more of a social planet, it was still pretty fun.

im a healer operative and i cant be killed unless 4 people are on me. its fun and i talk trash in general cause i can. they deliberately target me instead of doing objectives so 4 of them are chasing me and that frees up my team to score. mind manipulation works good on tor players
you are a liar!! the only way i or anybody who actually plays the game would believe you is if you made a youtube video of it. im a SW tank and the most amount of people i can hold off is 3, now i wear heavy armour and you wear medium, i have abilities made for soaking up damage, you have healing abilities. just saying..

in my time of mmos i have found that the "good guys" have more of a younger crowd while the "bad guys" tend to be older and have more xp. not saying that is for all servers, just an observation iv made over the years

I mostly play pve and love playing the bounty hunter. Quickly approaching lvl 10 cannot decide to go either powertech or mercenary. Based on how you guys like each class which one would you suggest?
im playing mercenary arsenal now, love it, great DPS class, and you wear heavy armour, iv also heard they do the best AOE damage at endgame, and are best healers at endgame. but mine is pretty powerful now i can do most quests a level earlier than im supposed to bc of how much damage i can produce

its the BH story, i want to maintain a relationship with mako bc shes awesome but i dont want to kill tarro blood<which mako is dead set on me doing> bc that disqualifies my great hunt so i am unsure of what to do
edit: the question i want to know is, if i decide to not kill tarro, will my relationship with mako go down the drain? will she even possibly be soo mad that she leaves me?

so i would never even consider this if it were another bioware console game because i can just restart the game and get the ending i want, this game however is not the case and i dont plan on rerolling the same character so basically here is the question
do i spoil part of my class story to get what i want by looking online, or do i play it through and not spoil anything?
dont get me wrong im all for not spoiling an ending by looking online, but this is different because im not rerolling <there is other class storys i want to play> and im stuck with whatever happens at the end. opinions please

actually i cant even see the server screen anymore!!!!!! i click to load the game i type in my password and it loads for about 30 seconds with the screen where satele is on the right and malgus on the left and that on jedi who died in the middle. THEN the game takes the liberty to close itself!!!!!! and i try to login again and it does the same ***king thing again!!! i tried to call bioware or someone for help but the number on their website doesnt seem to work<gee i wonder why>. Any suggestions??????? i did everything i need to to play as well payment everything is handled now i just want to play.
PS the farthest iv gotten was when the server screen came up and it told me to pick a server but there were no servers to pick from or anything the whole screen was blank. i tried to open a ticket but im not sure that it went through.
