[Buying Cartel Ships]

They are character specific which means you have to buy them for each individual character.

 

So if you have 8 empire characters and 8 republic characters on one server, you have to buy the same cartel ship 16 times to have it on all your characters.

 

That... sucks. That -really- sucks. I could maybe get server specific but -character- specific? Well, I'm sure as heck not buying any then.

I'm aware they're just skins, but I have a few questions;

 

I know they're faction specific (Which is irksome given they're just slight recolours, meaning I might have to buy the one I want twice), but are they character, server or region specific as well? If I buy them on a character, do I need to rebuy them for each character on the same faction? Or are they available in every hanger? If I make a character on the same faction but on a different server will the ships be available there too? What about across to a different region (From EU to US)?

Upon seeing the walker droid, I was honestly half expecting my Jedi to exclaim "METAL GEAR?!". Sadly, Hayter didn't put nearly as much gruff into his voiced role as the Jedi Knight.

Predominantly in RP and GSF! I'd like to give TEH a shot, but I'm concerned with logging on at 7pm GMT and nobody being around.

[Which EU server has the highest GSF population?]

What server are you on currently? From my experience, the red eclipse gets the most GSF pops of the EU servers, but the quality of play isn't nearly as good as T3-M4, Progenitor, or TOFN.

 

Prog atm, where it was mentioned that GSF matches are -hourly-, which I basically cannot stand.

On the server I used to play on, it took me about 30 minutes to enter a match at peak hours, and it wasn't even a full match. Whereas about a year ago I could queue and get matches almost constantly, I asked about GSF, and apparently people only queued for it once every hour. I'd really rather not only do one match an hour, nor -have- to join a guild to get a decent amount of matches.

 

If no EU server is ideal, I -can- roll US, it's just with the timezones thing it'd be more difficult.

Was on a flash sale last week, but as said I missed it. And I checked again yesterday and Prog has the set sold four times over, Ebon still selling just one belt and gloves. :L

Over on the Progenitor EU I very frequently find enough pieces being sold on the GTN to make the set a dozen times over, whereas on Ebon Hawk I'm lucky to even see the belt, I think I saw the gloves once but I'm wondering by now if it was a trick of the eye. I was rather hoping the recent flashsale would've seen it surge into popularity on the markets, but I guess not.

 

A wee bit miffed as it's a very good set, and the only Imperial equivalent that comes close is the show-off set which is lacking sleeves and the shirt around the mid-section. And I don't see myself forking out £15 or so for one outfit (Having just missed the flashsale), more so since I literally just got the summer pass.

[Is it possible to use a rifle but be ranged?]

New to TOR, I would prefer to use a rifle at range and use it as....well, a rifle, instead of essentially a shotgun. Is that possible in the trooper class? Or is it a case of Rifles=Melee and Gatling guns=Ranged?
