  1. Why would I not get Windows 8, but get Windows 7? I noticed on Alienware.com they offered PC's with Windows 7. I have W's 8 on my All-in-One.

Because Windows 8 isn't very stable compared to 7, and is much worse on a perfomance scale when it comes to gaming. At least in my experience. I stick with 7.

  2. Now I may be wrong, and I am sure Miss Felana will correct me, but when Revan came up with the Rule of Two, forst utilized by Bane, he stated that with each generation the Sith become more powerful than the previous. Bane learned everything he could and taught his apprentice, Zannah. She was more powerful than he. Her apprentice became more powerful than her. This continued through the centuries until both Vader and Sidious died.

Because of Revan's Rule of Two, Sidious would have become more powerful than any Sith Lord before him, including Ragnos, Revan and Bane. They were powerful for their time, but Sidious IS the most powerful Sith ever to roam the galaxy. Think about how strong Bane was. He was beaten by a more powerful and cunning Sith, who in turn was killed by someone even more powerful and cunning. Ragnos, Revan and Bane would not be able to match Sidious' power.

I don't entirely disagree with you. I was just pointing out that you can make the case that Sidious wasn't the most powerful ever.

  3. Yes he was, his master had already admitted that Sidious was more powerful than he was, Sidious saw it as both an opportunity to kill him with no chance of damaging himself and because it basically sickened him that this mighty Sith was off his face on alcohol. Sidious was easily the most powerful Sith just going off of his feats, abilities and prowess, he was also canonically named the most powerful Sith to ever exist as stated by Sidious, Chee and every writer who ever wrote an official Star Wars work, who had ever been asked the question of who was most powerful.

Not entirely correct. While Darth Sidious is unquestionably powerful, and absolutely one of the most powerful to have ever existed, you could also easily make the argument that Marka Ragnos, Darth Bane, or even Revan were as powerful or perhaps even more powerful. The problem with this kind of dialogue is that the majority of Sith that qualify for being "most powerful" never exist in the same time frame. In other words, you can make the case that no single one of these Sith are the most powerful, and instead are simply the most powerful at the time of their existence.

  4. I rather like one of the one's on Alderaan with the Hero of Tython and Orgus Din.

Orgus: "The giant Killik leading these others. You didn't see it?"

Hero: "Master, we didn't see anything like that." [giant Killik appears]

Orgus: "If that thing eats us, you're fired."

  5. Bowdar. All that fur has to be stuffy, not to mention smelling like a wet dog 24/7.

    :p

But seriously, guys. They're cartoons. You gotta get out more.

My girlfriend of three and a half years would like a word with you. Also my boss at my job of four years. And my professors from college, too. <3 :p

    - What looks like an XP boost

    - Colour crystal? (Orange crystal icon)?

    - Looks like we'll be able to get that annoying creature Jaba the Hutt had as a pet

    - Crime lords cartel pack seems to be one of the first packs that will be available ( seems to come with that throne + a mask, aforementioned jaba pet, dunno what else)

-The carbonite emote seem's to be a form of out of combat regeneration (so an alternative to introspect/rejuvinate/etc).

Looks like they also heard the community about not having access to the Cartel Shop in game, so thats a plus, as it appears they'll be launching with that feature in game, despite earlier claims that they wouldn't.

    Looking alright so far (:.

I agree, looks pretty sweet so far. Oh, by the way, Jabba the Hutt's pet is called a Kowakian Monkey Lizard. :)

  7. There was a long thread about this last week, do some digging and you will find examples of what you want.

I have done my digging, though I didn't realize there was a post about this last week. As I stated before in my original post, the only modable AKA orange pants that are available for Light Armor are a .45% world drop, PvP reward, or social drops.

  8. I wish there were some non social requirement light armor or even adaptive orange pants (for both sides) available, either via crafting or from vendors. And it would be kinda cool to actually have a use for that Adaptive Armor selection on the GTN.

I agree. Didn't mean to sound like I only wanted 'em Imperial side. Pubs deserve 'em too! :D

  9. Please, for the love of Yoda, can we get some more orange/modable Light Armor pants in the game? I understand the them you guys were going for with Inquisitors and Consulars wearing flowing robes, but what about Shadows and Assassins? You guys modeled Assassins almost specifically after Darth Maul and Exar Kun. Maul wore robes up until the point where he actually started fighting in which he ditches his cloak and underneath he's wearing combat pants with a tunic and boots. Exar Kun is almost never seen (if I remember correctly) in a lower robe. One of the most awesome aspects of this game is the ability to choose. In this area, I feel a bit restricted. Yes, I'm aware I can farm social points for social gear, yes I'm aware I can PvP at end-game till my eyes are purple to get black hole pants, and yes, I'm aware I can spend three weeks trying to get the Supreme Inquisitor's pants to drop (which look completely ******, by the way). However, there are none that drop in FP's. None that are even quest rewards.

TL;DR version: Please, please, please, add some more modable Light Armor pants to the game. :)

  10. I'm going to take an educated guess and say major story content arcs/planet overhauls/updates/major companion content, etc. will be handled in expansions. If BioWare decides to not go the typical expansion route and instead decides on doing a more patch content update approach (which would be refreshing to me) then it would probably be reserved for a MAJOR content patch.
  11. Yup, also my fav npc's from all the game!

I kinda can understend almoust all what they say... but i can't figure yet what is the best translation for "black Bisector"...lol.

The best translation of this is "Problem-solver," at least if you're going by the meanings themselves. You can make the argument that it's also subjective. :)

  12. I definitely agree that TOR could use some more Original Trilogy music and a toggle-able Music Loop feature, but for the most part, I think BioWare did a pretty good job with the soundtrack. There's plenty that's both new and old, and I definitely feel like I'm in the SW universe when I play. There are times where it kinda becomes silent, and not much seems to be going on audibly (besides me carving a bloody swath through my foes :D), but there are also plenty of times where it's silent, I enter a new area/trigger something/encounter/combat/whatever the heck you want to say, and the perfect track starts playing and really brings me into it. I think with more things like this, the game (in terms of music and sound) will be perfect. :)
  13. If this game were built to handle that sort of thing, perhaps, but at this point it's not. Also, if I wanted to be a Jedi Knight, I'd roll a Jedi Knight. If I want to be a Sith who is more moderate than his fellows and thinks that the Light Side may be the key to greater power and inner peace, than I want to do that. Not roll a Juggernaut just to switch to Jedi Knight. In terms of story or RP, you can go both ways with this. Yes, it makes sense that a Sith Juggernaut who's devoted himself to the Light Side -MIGHT- become a Jedi Knight, however, it is also far more likely that in the context of a game (especially content) as well as story, that that same Sith Juggernaut would stay with the Empire and try to change it from within. This argument has been made over many threads in the 9 (?) months this game has been released, with players going back and forth. BioWare has stated that at this time, faction changes are not in the cards.

    Hope this helps. :)

  14. A better way to do this would just be to incorporate your full alignment gain into certain alignment-only quests/missions/etc. as opposed to a faction switch. For example, if you're playing a light-sided Sith Juggernaut, perhaps after completing Chapter 1, and you have full light-side alignment, some new missions open up for you to actually start doing what you promised (insert spoiler character here).
