  1. Yes, what I actually wanted to say is the story where good guys win is a predictable story, because that's what people expect, that's what hollywood etc. teach them. If that's the case, the story must make up for that elsewhere to be good. The stories where the good guys don't win have IMO advantage in this.

For example, maybe you've seen the latest episode of Game of Thrones. Something like that makes the story so much better because it makes it less predictable. Yes, the GoT story would be great even if some event from the latest episode didn't happen, but it would not be that good.

So that is my whole point. Good guys win = predictability = not as good as it could be.

    This.

A good guy winning in the end is what it sells, at the end few are the writers that think in the story and not about selling.

  2. only thing i never wil do is anser to a sith :)

i dont need spoilers yet but i want the sith to be afrait of me not orther way around

am not a slave to them

If you work for the Sith Empire, you will always answer to a Sith.

  3. This. Since he made me powerful and fearful even though I'm a non-Force user, I couldn't care less if he wants half of the galaxy to die in pain and the other half to be his slaves. After all, if he has the power to do that in the future, it's only fair to happen then.

Indeed, everyone here thinks that you need to be a "hero" but they dont realize that they can also roll a SUPER villain and become the most powerfull non-force user in the galaxy even rule everything, and only answer to Darth Jadus. What else can you ask for???

  4. Personally I love marr, his desire to bring aliens into the empire and to stop the sith infighting is a welcoming and refreshing change from other sith do far.

At the moment though if darth marr does get assassinated/killed, the empire loses. momentarily marr controls all the military seats on the dark council. He is the closest thing the empire has to a single leader/emperor, he goes, the empire is fully and completely done.

Although I am still worried what he plans to do with the isotope 5, and if he makes a power play (which I pray he doesn't) with it the empire is lost

I truly believe that Marr loves the Empire, I really dont think he makes a "power play" white the isotope 5. Those pubs will taste his power cause they are too overconfident about winning the war soon.

  5. Marr is more concerned about the in-fighting of his peers. Because of all the stupid stuff his colleagues and fellow Sith are doing, the Republic is almost literally about to kick in their front door to deal the killing blow.

Marr is all about strife, but he wants the Empire to stand united against a common foe and "reforge the Empire in the flames of battle". His codex entry suggests that he is in fact dying because of his usage of the Dark Side over the last decades, and his top priority because of that is to keep the Empire alive and see to it that it can continue to survive without his further intervention. He is somewhat like Malgus, in the sense that he is aware of the Empire's shortcomings and wants everyone to keep their sh*t together and stop fighting amongst themselves while the Republic still fights on. That is, I believe, also the reason why Marr is so popular amongst the citizens of the Empire.

And if he knew that fights between sith will make the Empire this weak why didnt do anything to stop them? I mean I just go and told them that fight each other once the Republic is destroyed or somenthing like that...

  6. So I was thinking, we all know that Marr is the leader of the Empire since we don't know what happend to the Emperor, and he also knows very well that the fights between siths will make the Empire very weak but he still doesn't do anything about it. Of course we won in Makeb and he now has a plan but why does he wait till we are almost defeated to do something?

Just a few tried to do somenthing for the Empire (Darth Angral and Lord Vivicar for example even if they have reasons still they fight jedi not other sith) .

In my opinion Darth Marr is such a great character but at this point I feel that he needs to do a lot more in this war, imagine a battle between Satele Shan and Marr...

Just my opinion by the way, what do you guys think about Darh Marr and his role at this time?

  7. So I was reading the thread about the Light Sided Sith and that make me think of my DS Jedi Knight and how I make my choices in the game.

He doesnt care about the Republic or Empire is all about power, that feeling of holding in your hands the destiny of other lifes, take any oportunity to gain power or money, he also thinks that the Dark Side is stronger in the force. Why keep an enemy alive? When you can just kill him and end that problem right away... He can't care less what others think of him, his companions or even the Jedi Council.

So what you guys think about being "bad" in all aspects or simply as villain. :D

  8. I think is like a point of view and depends on the person (Jedi) maybe a mature Jedi could being in a relationship and not falilling in the dark side. But still that same Jedi can and will kill to protect his family, just thinking in his family and the fate of the galaxy in his hands and he needs to choose one of them? Thats one of the reason the Jedi dont like "love".
  9. And now they want "Emperor's Wrath" back. Go figure *shrug* but really, so many great titles were cut :( and when they made sense, too, in relation to the various storylines. Ah well.

@errant_knight: if you're a female JK you do get DS points for pursuing the romance arc (I've heard male JKs get nada, don't know if that's true or not?)

You don't get any DS points for that.

The devs are killing their own game, If you want the Master tittle then play Light Side just as simple as that. You want to be "bad" whit a jedi? Those are the consequences for being dark side.

  10. So, I just end my dark side JK and in the end Master Satele says that I don't deserve to be a "Master" of the order because Im following a dark path and she doesn't want to ingnore it anymore, then a Republic General or something (dont remember) tells her that I deserve some credit and makes me "General of the Republic".

Thats my question. Why they still give the tittle "Master" and no "General"? Is kind of stupid when Satele said that Im no ready yet but still they gave it to me. Thanks :)

  11. I agree it would be nice. If the designers wish to put this feature in the game and redesign everything that it entails I would support this. I don't forsee this happening given the current state of SWTOR. If you were EA, would you support a rewrite of SWTOR to support this feature? Granted I believe all of SWTORs woes are EA's fault but, I don't see them investing more into the game to redesign the base story to support this. Who knows, perhaps if things turn around we may see this in the future. Right now, we are more likely to see a tropical resort on Hoth first.

LMAO, You are right but the game is "young" and the Dev's are not getting the full of it. I gess we have to wait at least one year to see a real game changer.

  12. It would be nice to have like a mission where you can choose if you stay whit your faction or you join the other side, also you can loose your companions for example if you switch side whit the Jedi Knight, Sargeant Rusk leaves you but Lord Scourge stays...
