A shame my fem SI has to be her sugar momma in order to get some brownie points. No way in hell is she making LS choices.
-
NEGATIVE. Running that ad enticing people to buy thinking they could possibly get 5 days early KNOWING that it wont happen is the very definition of misleading.
Last time I checked it said possibly UP TO five days..
-
you are incorrect, my business is going elsewhre now....it does impact
I just got my friend into SWTOR, so yeah, you just got replaced.
-
Dramatic thread title is dramatic.

Then why are you brown-nosing them right now? "Just showing your support" = fanboy. Especially posting on general forums. You can send them an email to tell them how fantastic they are, but you wanted everyone else to see it too.
Oh my bad bro, let's get back to moaning and groaning while rolling on the floor like a five year old.
Grow up.

Actually you're wrong. The people, who preordered early are probably SW fans. Why would a hardcore gamer preorder a MMO he knows _nothing_ about? Even if there's any real "competition" in the game?
Actually, I'm not. Major guilds from many games (WAR, AION, WoW, AoC, etc) already had branches established for this game shortly after its early announcement. That's what hardcore clans do. This isn't just for SWTOR either. There's already clans getting prepped for TERA and GW2 as well after their early reveals.
Just because you may not be a part of one (or maybe you do) does not mean other people are the same way.

Instead, with this type of launch and a whole variety of different things about this game, they are stripping the competitive nature of online gaming away. They are totally ostracizing and betraying a large part of the MMO community, the hardcore players.
The hardcore players are the one who pre-ordered and put their code in the first day they were able to. They are the ones who are currently in the game. If you and others like you had the slightest belief of belonging to that group you wouldn't be here complaining right now.
Their system is great. No one will have to wait absurd queue times when trying to enter a server. Fighting for mobs won't be such a hassle in contrast to everyone joining in at once.
-
Yeah... I agree! I sooo much want to experience another WoW launch... you know, when the servers melted and were taken off line for 3 days?
Yeah, that sounds great. Let's do that again!
Someone knows what's up. +1 to you.

The guy deserves a raise in my opinion.
This is like complaining that welfare isn't enough money to buy a good boat. This gave me a good laugh. +1 to you.

Yeah, but people getting in later are going to have a significant disadvantage for choosing names. I mean hell, there are already people making real money by "selling" names they've saved for people that haven't gotten in yet. That is not cool at all.
Seriously, that is only an issue if your name is unoriginal/uncreative.
-
Eh. Rift "early access" launch was worse. People waiting literally hours in server queues, only to be disconnected. It was literally weeks for them to get everything stable, and by then people were unsubbing to the point that servers because too underpopulated.
This one sucks too, but at least we just wait for an email rather than endless queuing.
Sure glad i didn't take the day off though!
I would say Aion was pretty bad, just for the fact that people would set up shops so they wouldn't get kicked off when they went to bed. lol

want some cheese with that wine? waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Should've brought my wine glass. Biggest regret of the day.

Today has truly made me sad and cynical, and on levels far beyond some stupid game.
I am sad that this is what we gamers are: a million-member pile of entitled spoiled brats yelling at McDonalds because they served someone in the front of the line before us.
I'm truthfully saddened.
+1 Fantastic post.

So many pages so many nerd rages, this is fun haha! I like the poeple who worry about names being taking. Like really is your name you want so normal that it will be taken within the first day of a pre launch? How I pity you worriers.
What makes it so sad is that said names are probably unoriginal/uncreative/and have some variant of "shadow", "dark", or "sephiroth" in them. Smh.

By all the posts I've seen so far, totally regret not bringing my wine glass to this.

It is absolutely astounding how many people feel entitled to more than they're already getting. Your pre-order code grants you up to 5 days of early game access. That could be 5. That could be 1. Instead they're giving you up to 7. Stop complaining. If a few random stragglers who pre-ordered later than you happen to slip in, are you really surprised? There are hundreds of thousands of pre-orders, I'm sure--at the very least. It was bound to happen.
+1 To one of the best posts in this thread.

Whatever.
I'm going to repeat that, cause it sounds vaguely important.
Bioware/EA was kind enough to allow Early Access for those that did, but they didn't have to.
Thank you!
-
If you are a woman - Marry me... If you are a man - I may warm up to you... Well said. Either do waves 24/7 until everyone is in, or launch all at once.
And cause massive slow down or intense queue times to get in the actual game?
Hahahahah! No thanks bro.
-
omg I dispise that kind of attitude - it's weak, submissive and irratating!
Oh? I dispise people who have terrible reading comprehension and believe they deserve everything on this **** earth.
-
Stop acting as if giving out a bonus wave is big. There's alot of frustrated people out here, at least stop kicking us inn the nuts while we are down.
No need to be dramatic.
-
Why ppl says Preorder its a Gift you pay 5 EU for it .....
Because you pay $5 for any pre-order nowadays, they didn't have to do early access. They really didn't. Why some people can't understand that amazes me.
-
^ Possibly my favorite post I've ever seen on a gaming forum. I get so sick of my "Participation Trophy" peers. But we ain't all like that
Exactly. Maybe if we're lucky, the people claiming that they're quitting will actually follow through.
-
You know, Bioware could have just said forget the Early Access, and let all of us who pre-ordered be content with the extra goodies and still force us to play on the 20th. Instead they do the 'waves' of players coming in, at first giving us 5 extra days. Now it's seven.
Sure that means those who pre-ordered first might get a day or two head start over us who pre-ordered later? So what? To me that only means I might actually get five days to play instead of one or two before launch. AND I'M GRATEFUL. Grateful for something freely given that Bioware was not, in any way, required to give at all.
So to those who are whining, it's the equivalent of a man giving you a dollar, and the whiners slapping the man across the face saying, "Fool, give me a five!"
Rediculous.
Anyways, can't wait to play, kinda glad I work this morning, better than sitting here refreshing my email or somesuch. XD
Thank you! *golf clap*

You're angry because you have to wait 18 mins?
Man, come back when you have to wait 2+ hours like others have in other MMOs. People these days.. Smh.
