2.nd question about Mad dash skill, does anyone use it ? What you think it any good for mobility ?

I have the mad dash utility that breaks imobilisation and movement impairs. Since Jugg is constantly stunned / slowed / kitted, it's very useful in PVP. It's also good to close distance on someone who's trying to kite you.

  2. you get bolstered anyway, everytime i queued on all of my toons lvling up, i always still had enough stats with the bolster for it not to be an issue. stick near your team mates and dont go rambo and you should be fine... When you get to 65 then you can complain all you want about "warzones LOL" because at least then theres a legit complaint.

Bolstering is a joke. I have a 65 PVP geared toon which I'm not talking about here. My issue is that around L40 you are placed with L62 players who absolutely destroy you. As healer spec you go from being able to keep your team alive (most of the time) to not being able to get a heal off before you are destroyed in a couple of seconds.

I had a solo L62 jump to me, lock me down and remove my health to zero whilst I was still stunned. There is your 'bolstering'. Prior to that, I could wait out the stun, throw on a heal and either fight back or tactically retreat.

I'm telling you, PVP goes from being incredibly fun to overwhelmingly frustrating and predictable.

If the bracket IS 41-64 then this would make sense as I only noticed the L60's when I hit 41. It's still terrible to be playing against players 20 levels greater. Even if you look at the healer spec, an L64 healer will have a hell of a lot more healing skills in his bag than an L41.

This experience will put mid level players off PVP. Plain and simple.

  3. PVP in this game at the lover levels is fantastic. It's so much fun.

THEN you hit a level were the imbalance is so overwhelmingly apparent it becomes so much unfun.

THEN you hit end game and it seems like you cant kill anyone because healing is so OP. When in lower level killing other players and being killed was frequent in equal numbers, you then find yourself pounding on an opponent using all your abilities only to see their health either barely move, or get completely replenished to 100% just as you think you're about to get a killing blow.

If you ask me, they should try to make PVP as fun as it is at the lower levels, right across the board.

  4. I'm a player who signed up at beta. I loved the game initially, then the flaws slowly started to get to me and like many others I drifted away.

As a massive SW fan, and like so many others, I WANTED to love this game and I put up with things longer than I would have in any other MMO. I've come back many many times due to my love of SW but each time the frustrations got the better of me and I drifted away.

Having returned for KOTFE, I was all 'oh this is so good' again and I played through the expansion with a big fat smile on my face. Leveled through to 65 with my 50L old toon, loved the fact I could play with my beloved Jaesa, and really enjoyed the experience looking upon it as a single player game. Then when I hit 60, I lost my beloved Jaesa, and well.. ok I thought, I got to play through the marvelous KOTFE which I think is a huge step in the right direction 'from a single player' point of view.

Now however, the MMO frustrations have started to creep in again and already I'm finding myself frowning as I play instead of smiling. PVP is so unbalanced it's just mind boggling given we're so far down the track. Playing my L40 against L61's is so incredibly stupid I just can't even talk about it...

I got stuck with the L60 token bug throwing my char in at L1, only to lose the L60 character creation ability upon deletion of the L1, and now I'n truly thinking about drifting away AGAIN!

Why oh why do they make this game so hard to love and enjoy?

  5. Actually, yes. With brackets for every 10 or 20 levels queue times will be huge, the game's population is low.

The game's population will continue to get lower with such an imbalanced pvp system in place. I now see why.

  6. Just played 2 warzones at L41 against a group of 55 - 62's.

Up untill now my groups have consisted of 30-40's and have been a lot of fun. As a healer I've been able to heal and kill at a level that's consistent in an even matched. My last two matches I wasn't able to get a heal off on myself let alone my team as I was constantly locked down and killed within 2 or 3 seconds by this group.

I then went on to google the level brackets and learned there are none and it's all to do with who is queuing. I realise it's late in my timezone so there will be less people around my level bracket that are on, but I had no idea they'd remove the level bracket in WZ'ns till now.

This to me seems crazy. The bolster system clearly doesn't work, particularly when higher level players have so so so many more skills to utilise.

This in short is a sure way to put new players off PVP or perhaps the game in general. *** are they thinking here?

My point is, if groups are matched well, then PVP in SWTOR is a huge amount of fun, but currently the matching system just makes it frustrating, enjoyable and a complete turn off to new players who are pvp orientated.

I don't understand why the devs would facilitate a situation were players are forced into such unbalanced pvp at the lower to mid levels. SURELY they should want pvp to be a fun experience for all?????

  7. How about those of us who lost our tokens WEEKS ago, and have had absolutely no response to a ticket. Taking new tokens off sale doesn't help that. I am quite happy to sit on the token once it's restored and not use it until such time as you've resolved the issues, but I would like my token back please.

Why? so it can bug out again? I would rather the try to fix the issue, THEN restore the tokens rather than waste countless hours restoring tokens that will just bug out again and lead to more tickets, calls, emails etc.

It will be restored when they've narrowed down the bug and fixed it.

  8. Not going to hold my breath on it and expected to get a sorry you are screwed cause you deleted the bugged lvl 1.

Don't be ridiculous. Firstly, it was Bioware that advised you delete the L1. Secondly, I've never in the history of MMO gaming every seen a company, 1st admit to a bug, then tell you to furkl off.

Anyone who has paid RL cash for the service be it as a subscriber or a token purchaser will either re-compensated or have the issue resolved. The only thing we have to 'endure' is how long it takes them to fix it.

  9. Well this is totally screwed up!

So my post above. I'm a subscriber so the slot I referred to was my free 60 slot.

Desperate to try out some of the classes at 60, I decided that rather than wait for ticket response I'd buy a token. I was delighted when it showed up in my character selection screen. I created a 60 character, and got the bug where it loads in at level 1. The solution BW posted was to delete the character and try again so I did. Same thing, level 1.

I deleted that one too, and quit the game in an attempt to avoid the level 1 bug.

And guess what? Yep, you guessed it, I logged back in to find the 60 slot gone................. Back to square 1 and 2k cartel coins down for my troubles.

    Happy days, happy days :rak_evil:

I suspect there is no PVP gear any more for L40, so the question is, is there any gear vendors where I can pick up a full set of gear that would help in warzones?

I have a healing OP and stuck in gear I pick up on the GTN. There's not much around and very hard to get the crit stats.

    Any advice?
