I almost always run with a premade, except when I am playing assassin or operative dps, or if I am healing and no one else in my guild needs a group.
I don't Q with people so that we can roflstomp the other team (Though it does happen from time to time)
I do it so I don't get roflstomped
You see, when I Q solo, there are 7 available slots that are, for the most part, random. Which means 7 potential slots to get someone with less than 500 expertise who has no clue what they are doing.
And at the same time, Murphy's Law makes it so whenever I get idiots on my team (Or a team with no healer) The enemy team will get a nice set of 2-3 sage healers and a tank. Obviously this doesn't always happen, but it happens enough to frustrate me.
My solution is to group with others in my guild, so no matter what I have at least one competent healer on my team, while also reducing the 7 random slots to 4, which is a win win in my mind.
I understand that some guilds run 8-man premades sometimes just to stomp people into the ground (I've been apart of them occasionally, I usually avoid it because it takes too much work to set up) But long gone are the days when it was common to see a full Goof Troop or HVND premade on Harbinger come in and destroy everything.
Now, I do find that most games are a faceroll, one way or another, but I think they should fix the problem by:
-Class balancing. We need it, everyone wants it. Just do it.
-Very basic matchmaking: If there is one or more healers on one team, require the other team to have at least one healer.
I'm calling you on your ********. You don't premade to prevent roflstomps. You premade to cause them. Also you're doing this in solo que so the ******** is 2x as much.

Well merc dps right now is ridiculous in pvp to the point i need to take a break from this mmo.
2 things I feel the need to remind you of.
1. I.O Merc damage still sucks, so don't loop all Mercs into your ****posting.

I have absolutely no idea why this happens. It used to be just Huttball, but now it's everyt map, even arenas. The second I start doing something, even when there's only me and one enemy on the screen, it drops like a meteorite.
Could be your PC. Or your GFX Card dying.

First off, leaving because of premades is already happening.
Second, it won't work. Why? This is because the PvP side of the game has been allowed by the devs to evolve to the point where:
1. The weaker faction usually has to wait longer for the pop and will usually tolerate being beaten up because at least they are getting a chance to play. And this is because the self-declared good players all want to be on the "winning side".
2. Speaking of which: there has been an increase in "Charlie Sheen Winners". You know the type who will boast about how their dps is awesome. These guys won't quit because they will blame the team for the loss and then brag about the size of their PvPness.
3. And let's not forget the increase in campers. These are the players who just want to hit the quota to get their M1-4X / Pierce companions. They won't leave.
4. And finally, there are the trolls and saboteurs. Either they are bots queued by the opposing side to give them an advantage. Or they are just people who like laughing at the misery they cause other players.
As for a solution? The only real solution would be to have the game move towards a dynamic team drafting system (remember how you would pick teams for schoolyard baseball or soccer?). But for this, it would require a full shift to full Alliance teams and reworking of plots in the warzones. And I don't think that EAWare Austin has the personnel or time to be able to do that.
The best way to beat them is to not que against them. Don't give them anything to farm
or any more reason to brag. I'd rather wait a few hours for a more balanced match than have the que poping every 5-15 minutes against constantly stacked teams.
If you see a team or people you recognize that always group together, let your team know. Say it out loud in the PvP Chat to let the other teams know too. No point in feeding their egos. Let them starve in a dead PvP Que instead.

Nice summary, I agree with all of this.
To people thinking you'll punish premades by quitting - you won't. They'll keep on queueing and you'll be wasting your own time by hopping in and out of games. Get a premade, or (like most of the soloqueuers) grit your teeth and hang on. The wins are so much more satisfying when you're against stacked odds...
I've spent enough time gritting my teeth and taking my shots. After 6 straight losses to accomplish both dailies.....I'd rather leave que and wzs against premades than just continue joining games with a stacked deck on the other side. I don't care how much you enjoy wzs. I guarantee you quit after a few games of getting roflstomped by the same ******es on FOTM classes.
I'd be willing to even place a 10 mil credit bet that you leave wzs. I bet you don't stick them all out. Stop acting like you do. You accomplish nothing by pretending to not care about your losses.

You shouldn't be playing reg warzones to win.
You should be playing them to improve yourself as a player
Leave the 'trying to win' part for ranked, which of course presents it's own issues.
Which pretty much leads you to the same based thinking we all have concluded at exactly the same time and place.

That is the way the forum works. If someone disagrees with you they have to say all sorts of mean things and call you bad names to show everyone how much they disagree.
None of what's been said bothers me. I know the people getting most upset with me are the ones probably running in premades most often. They feel threatened by this idea and thus flock to the thread to show their disapproval.

the easiest strat to beat premades in solo queue is to learn how to play.

This whole things reeks of hypocrisy. It stinks, actually.
You seem to have a problem with premades only when they are on the other team. If they are in yours, well... you enjoy the supposed guaranteed roflstomp over the non-premade group.
Bottom line, you're just complaining about having bad luck. Keep queuing and you'll have the evil premades on your team
You must not know what hypocrisy is. Neither of the statements you quoted contradict the other. Not sure what the goal of that was suppose to be.

There should also be an asterisk beside spots 1-5 since both those guilds are notorious for using TPP.

You are nothing more than a desperate for attention troll, that is clear to me now. Keep thinking you are the messiah of pugs if it makes you feel better, I couldn't care less. Oh and by the way, I don't give a crap if you are on my server or not. The people that leave in the first 2 minutes of the match are usually replaced by more competent and determined to win players. But you keep on "sabotaging" the premades.
To be honest, no. I didn't read much of anyone's recent comments. If I am being totally honest here I accomplished my goal yesterday getting a thread past 1,500 views.
1. I enraged a whole lot of people with 1 thread.
2. I got plenty of luls from this.
3. I said what I wanted to say and my OP is out there for any other solo que players to see.
4. Maybe not everyone likes this idea but, from some of the replies I know other solo que players feel the same as me. And if enough of us stop queing we could maybe curb the problem. I don't expect it to stop entirely.
5. Was there ever any time in the exchanges we had where you thought I'd ever take you serious? You don't agree with me and that's fine. You're not my target audience so what you think and how you feel is not important to me.

I have one proposition for you. Next time you encounter premade leave wz and delete your game from hdd!

See....the funny thing is.....I don't have to break anyone. I let the premades break the spirits of the people for me. Then once they are frustrated about getting squashed over and over by premades.....that's when my idea becomes reality. The more times a premade dominates pvp for hours on end. The less people will que. It's very simple logic to follow and, very easy to persuade the frustrated solo que people.
I am just waiting till they've given up almost completely and, then I remind them the best way to get rid of a premade is to stop queing. Premades can't farm if people stop queing.

My points could have not been more clear. If you have an issue with comprehensive reading..that is entirely on you. Forgive me if I make a mistake, like many others I use the English language when I must.
In the world and time we live in it is hardly an achievement or wonder for people to apply it in everyday conversation or f.e. when interacting with social media, whose spawn you obviously seem to be.
I am starting to think that you are just a classic case of an ignoramus. In that case I will follow up on your suggestion and leave this thread just so you can enjoy yourself. The fact that you are actually telling people to stop posting, and thus ignore the fact that anyone with a subscription can voice their opinion says volumes about your mental state and how little reason there is to engage in any form of dicsussion with you.
It is very simple, you choose not to understand. That makes it worse only for yourself, and no one else.

It seems you don't play on the Harbinger too because of your response to Firwik_Howlo.
So why don't you finally bless us with the knowledge on what server you play on, so we can get other people's opinions about the pugs vs premades situation there? I'm not doubting you got roflstomped over and over again, but that has happened to every solo player so your case is nothing new or unique. If you refuse to provide any concrete information, then you are just venting on the forums. And that's fine, we all have done that. But don't try to mask your vent as a useful and needed implementation for regs.
P.S. Gonna share you a secret here, so you gotta be very hush hush about it. Different servers don't mean drastically different skill levels between the player population on them. As TRE is one of the most active servers in Europe, if not the most active one, I believe we get the most player diversity here. So get off your high horse and provide some information. If not, well, as ancient gamer warrior monks used to say, s t f u and g t f o.
If I wanted you to know what server I play on I'd have told you. Chances are you've probably guessed it and I told you otherwise just to **** with you.

There is nothing you can do about premades being in que. Not a thing.
There is nothing wrong with premades. Not a thing.
There is no matchmaking to allow for both sides to start the match on even odds and that is the main focus with all these threads who have been coming and going for all these years.
You have added nothing new, or intelegent to solve this issue.
Your idea sucks because it excludes people to play together, which is the an important aspect of an MMOG.
If you are willing to wait for one good match then you might wanna try ranked, as it is the only part of PvP where the odds are somewhat balanced, and even ranked comes nowhere close to proper matchmaking outside of covering roles properly for both teams.
PvP at its state is what it is, to make it as simple as possible for you. A mini game you take part in or do not, solo or as a group.
And no one should be punished for queing as a group, asking people to quit a match when facing a premade is by far the dumbest idea I have seen "presented" as a solution to what every PvP game is about.
It is called balance and introducing matchmaking would go a long way to improve the overall quality of matches.

If you are serious about *sheltering* newbs and solo queens do it like I do. Invite them to your guild , help them with basics like class pros and cons , tactics for every wz ,give them advices about gearing up.... Even buy them exp crystals and explain why they need it . Dont let them roll sorc healers just because its easiest to play .
Few weeks later you will already notice results no matter if they queue solo or in group.
You dont have to believe me but I will provide you some screenshots from our guild chat when | come back home.
And dont be a hypocrite as people already told you. Today you are saviour , tomorow a killer

Hence why they que up in req wzs. A team of 4 with teamspeak can wreck a team of 8. It's a huge disadvantage we're all aware of and, the premaders that get most upset when we point this out are the same ones stacking teams in their own favor :^
