    Really excited about Makeb!

    Hello interweb people,

     

    There seems to be a lot of negativity (as usual) about Makeb and the fact that it is paid for content, but to be perfectly honest I think it's going to be great.

     

    I probably wouldn't have called it a full expansion, but if you just consider it DLC then 10 bucks for a full planet with tones of new quests that are fully voice acted, a plethora of new gear and 5 more levels blows the hell out of other $10 DLC I've purchased for other games (horse armor anyone?).

     

    I just wanted to make this thread to let the hard working men and women that make this game know that you have a very grateful fan right here :D

    So, I suppose this will get buried under the flood of negativity, but one of the rules of online communities is that those who love the game, play, those who don't, hit the boards.

     

    This game is freaking awesome. Free to play lets my kids play. Cartel items let me customize my look. Come on, that red eye glow that I have chained to my crit ability is just cool.

     

    I've loved playing PVP. I never raided much, until I leveled my sage, and I am loving the raid content. I love the various methods of gearing up. It feels like all I have to do is whatever is most exciting, and I get cool stuff from it. I PVP, cool stuff. I raid, cool stuff. Dailies, cool stuff. Hardmode flashpoints, cool stuff. There is just not a wrong way to play the game that I have found.

     

    I am not generally a fan of MMOs. I played WoW for four years, high end raiding, but passed on WAR, Conan, and Rifts, and a couple of others after a few weeks. But man. This game is so freaking cool.

     

    So, there you have it. Another county heard from. Anyone else having a total hoot?

    I played WoW for three years as a high end raider and I loved it at the time. However I don't have as much time to play games any more so I have to make a choice on what I give my time to and this game wins by such a huge margin it's incalculable, the only way I will stop playing (and paying) it is if they take down the servers.

     

    I would like to go onto say that I have been a huge Bioware fan since Baulders Gate 1 and as much as I feel I am betraying myself by saying; I think this game is even better than Baulders Gate 2 (phew! The sky didn't fall on our heads). Thank you, too all of the developers who have put in so much effort to make this game the epitome of my childhood StarWars fantasies and imagination. Whilst I would never want you to ignore your critics or rest on your laurels, please take heart that there are a lot of us who love this game you have created and feel you have done a good job.

    loading screens are a fake

    While I completely agree with loading screens for area transitions, because they make sense, I must say that I find it odd that I have to watch the loading screen for some 10-15 seconds after tabbing in. I The game's loaded the area just fine. I've got a high-end computer. Someone explain to me why this is necessary.

     

    Play the game in full screen windowed mode if your computer is good enough. No loading screen :) just pure alt tabbing goodness.

    They just need to make your mount go at the highest speed you've trained, it's not so hard, but god forbid they start implementing all the good things wow has done right over the years..

     

    The only issue with doing it this way is that it would mean people with the collector's edition of the game would get a free speeder at all levels.

    With a credit sync costing as much as the level 40 or 50, I can go for it. Those of us with those speeders already get 15 levels of free speeder use. We shouldn't get an upgrade for any less than somebody else paying for a standard 40 or 50 speeder.

     

    100% agree, I don't think we should get a free high level speeder. I'd definitely be happy to fork out what a typical speeder costs.

    I would love to see a high level variant of the collector's edition mount. Of all the mounts I like this one the most, I would still be using it if it wasn't so painful being knocked off all the time :D. Just wondering if anyone else felt the same way.

    I don't have any toons, those things from Roger Rabit. But I do have a level 43 Trooper Vanguard and I am absolutely LOVING this game and I am playing with a class I really do not like lol! I really want to play as a Consular, Imperial Agent, and Sith Warrior, but I decided to just play with a Trooper at first to get used to the game and save the other classes for when I am more advanced at the game and have a higher legacy level.

     

    What does a higher lvl legacy do for you anyway?
