  1. So IF you are wanting to stay on fleet so you can see something in fleet chat you have a couple of options available to you. 1. Go in one of the flashpoint hangar areas. Most people enter them via queue and are hardly in there or 2. Go over to the capital ships where the ops missions were originally given from. Either of those places and you can still see fleet chat.
  2. Unassembled components should be gotten for ALL Command Screen activities. It shouldn't be just limited to ops and pvp in order to have a faster or more sure method of gearing up versus the rng roll of the command crates. A thread is up in the suggestion box stating the same thing while trying to generate ideas/numbers of how to gain them from pve activities as well.

    http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=912441

  3. First of all, you've suggested ~5 points per heroics, 8~10 points per flashpoint.

That might be more efficient than PvP, especially if your team ends up losing...

My numbers are suggestions, not what I'm saying they would end up being. Also somebody else mentioned heroics being too easy to get components, maybe individually yes (as with any speculation things do need tweaking) but as for doing the planetary pop up with the command console once you complete it to get the bonus cxp you should also be granted unassembled components as well with it.

  4. If you wanna avoid Raiding, PvP and GSF you still have RNG which is more than you had in 4.7. Maybe you won't get the 6 pieces as fast as you want but if you play enough you can reach the T2 and T3 gear to make up for it.

I never said anything about avoiding any of those activities, just that the components should be a part of ALL galactic command activities, not just certain parts. I simply stated that not all players wanted to do a pvp or operations grind as the only method of getting the unassembled components. I'm also aware that you'd still be earning cxp with the chance of getting something in the crates, but you are also still earning cxp towards getting crates in pvp and operations as well. Why should it be a concentrated focus on those areas for a faster route to gear rather than making it available to all activities on the galactic command screen?

  5. So as the title says the unassembled components need to be gotten in different ways rather than just pvp grind. It would be nice to see them drop from the heroics, uprisings, and flashpoints as well. Make them a certain set guaranteed amount much like the cxp you get from doing these activities. This way people that don't like to pvp still have the chance to get them without having to do operations all the time. Some numbers for example:

Heroics- 5 per completion, 1-2 for 1 part bonus, another 1-2 per each part bonus afterwards

Flashpoints- 2 per boss, around 8-10 for total flashpoint

    Uprisings- 3-5 per boss

These would of course scale per difficulty of the activity you are doing be it story, veteran, or master mode.

  6. This sounds like an amazing system! I like the idea of crafting being a path to improve, as well as doing regular combat-based dailies and I'd really love to do it. I like the idea that vendors could add in more items as it rebuilds (so decos, armor sets, crystals, mounts, etc).

Thanks. Yeah, crafting does need to be used a bit more. They've started to include it more with the schematics you now get from the cxp crates, but they would always do more with it. This system would introduce that and make those that like crafting have fun doing something other than crafting lethal mod 48 for the 1000th time.

  7. I'd love to see him and Jakarro both come back into the storyline. Surely since Shae Vizla left Rishi cause she wanted to join the alliance Jakarro and c2d4 know what is going on as well.
  8. Really it just needs to be a clicky to get him to spawn or the inner part of the sanctum needs to be instanced off like with the Sith Spawn. It really is annoying though for some of the open world heroics on various planets to have the bosses be basically open season for all that approach it. They should all just be clicky where if you need them you get to summon them and they instantly lock to the person that summoned them.
  9. I remember there was a system similar to this in SWG where you built things up between invasions of certain planets. Depending on how much players contributed depended on how much npc help you got come time for the invasion to actually occur. I just figured it's something for the player base to work towards rather than constant daily grind that you see no visual results from.
  10. So regardless of whether you go light or dark you end up being the Emperor and ruler of the Eternal Empire. Sure on the light version you are less dictator like, but you are still the ruler. Anyhow the point of this thread is a way to introduce something for players to do and work towards as the game progresses. Basically all of the planets need to be rebuilt. Between KOTFE and KOTET a lot was destroyed on the original planets in the game. My suggestion here would be to implement a system that allows us as the players the chance to rebuild the planets in stages as we progress towards whatever is coming for the next expansion. This is where some work on the dev team comes into play. All the planets (or at least ones like Tython, Korriban, D.K., Coruscant, Corellia, Hoth, Voss, and maybe 1 or 2 others) need a new separate instance that becomes available to the players at lvl 70. In these new instances you are allowed to go to the destroyed version of these planets where you can do missions to help rebuild. These would include:

Crafting--Donate resources (lvl 9 and 10 mats), make components to fix things, allow companions to be sent off on helper missions.

Fighting--PVE--Clear out would be scavengers and other things like wildlife that have taken over areas that are slated to being rebuilt. (allow for factional reputation to be gathered possibly?)

Space--Yes, something that hasn't been touched in forever, but pve space could have a mission or two added in where you are tasked with clearing a path for transports to bring in supplies, or in destroying pirates that are forming blockades in getting to the planet in the first place (nothing too intense at first since most don't have full pve ship upgrades any longer)

By doing these missions you earn CXP rewards.(Legacy bound for all)-- For the crafting you can earn specialized tokens that will allow you to buy the crafting recipes that you are missing and possibly introduce a few fluff items in like dark colored crystals, armor shells, weapon shells, mounts, and even decors for the strongholds.

As time progress we see actual progress in the building process. Say every 6-8 weeks structures are updated based on the improvements as well as adding a couple of items to the vendors each time showing that the improvement is allowing more items to be in their stock. This would allow players to have something to work towards as we rebuild our empires while still earning command levels until the next expansion comes into play.

  11. As far as new Op's go I'm fine with more being added to the game. However, I'm not fine with an op taking 3 or 4 hours. That is ridiculous. If one is that long then it should be broken into 2 parts. Not everybody is capable of sitting at the computer that long without having to stop for one reason or another. Also, story continuance in ops is terrible. It really sucks to have to watch the story content of an op on youtube and have to rely on the choices they chose vs what you'd have said yourself. If they do put story in ops again I'd rather it be something totally optional like Ravagers was. I'd really not like to have to do an op to fight the end bad guy of a story, but would rather the solo option like what was done for Revan so you can watch the cutscenes yourself.
  12. You have to wonder why certain companions from each class were left out of being returned during KOTFE. Granted we may be getting some back in the time gap between the two stories (not certain how many for sure there), but seeing as how most of the original companions that have come back have had a place somewhere in the story part it makes sense that they'd hold off on some. Who knows, maybe those missing companions are leaders of cells that will be joining us in KOTET, only time will tell for sure. One thing though I'd really really wish they'd add in would be companion conversations. When you get a companion back in story and they give you a little 30 second blurb of oh hey, you're alive, good to see you, now let's kill some stuff after a 5 year absence it's kinda like WTH? I'd also like to see more convos added for even the KOTFE companions as you get them to ranks 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 so you get to know more about them if you choose to keep getting their affection levels up.
  13. I know I'm not the only one here who while doing the weekly missions runs into the issues of some of the bosses being camped for the heroics, them being dead, people fighting over the spawn, or others just simply not willing to group to kill one stinking npc. Could you please consider making these npcs pop up via some sort of blue clicky only if you have reached that point in the heroic mission? This would cut down on a lot of the headaches caused by this.
  14. Many of us would like to see ALL force using companions (Kira, Nadia, Ashara, etc) have the same duality options that Jaesa has. No real clue as to why Jaesa was the only one to get that option when the idea does present itself to the others as well.
  15. I think they mean how you have to remove the mods and such in order to use the armor on a lower level character.

It would be nice to have multiple sets so that I wouldn't have to remove the mods every time I want to mail it to a new character.

This is what I meant. I'm talking about leveling MORE than one character at a time.

  16. Is there any way you can make a vendor that will sell the pieces of it to characters that have reached the required dark/light rankings? I'm sure I'm not the only one that would like to have it available to use on more than one alt at a time so we can run things together with friends and guild mates. Extra suits would be nice so we could have this option.
  17. DarthYunman,

They are not retroactive. They can only be earned with an event character, which is any character created on or after June 28th when the event goes live.

    -eric

I really hope you change your minds on that. Most people aren't going to want to reroll a complete set of 8 characters just to do this event.
