  1. Hi all! Im having some SERIOUS big issues with my Razer Naga Hex mouse. The problem is that when i bind my side buttons to SwTor abilities they reset after some time :S It's hard to explain, sry. I bind all 1-6 buttons to various abilities and after some time they just reset. For example: When i press 4. I move left. Instead of using "Cloak of Pain" ability. :( It still says "4" on the ability. Please help me someone! :(

Could it be that it changed the mode from basic [123] (using the 1,2,3 keys] to the keypad mode (using the 1,2,3 on the numeric keyboard) where 4, would also mean "move left" ??

    Might be worth checking out.

  2. Got my Hex a few days ago, and like it sofar. Haven't been playing much SWTOR though, except trying out a few macros, which are very easy to setup.

The size and shape feels bigger and better then the Razer Naga, which i feelt was a little too small, and had WAY to many buttons.

6 buttons is much more realistic imho, and i look forward to try it out in TERA and GW2.

So far it looks to be my 1st and best MMO mouse after trying out a lot of different mice.

  3. Got this mouse yesterday, and hooked it up to my gaming computer without any problems, allthough i had to create a Razer account online to download the Razer driver/software :(

I was positively surprised about it's design, both in terms of size and button placement.

It feels a bit bigger then the Razer Naga (unless my memory fails) and the 6 side buttons are easy to reach.

It took 1 min to create a few simple macro's that i could activate inside SWTOR, so if you need this, it's very easy to do so.

I need to try the mouse out more then i have, but i expect to do so in the comming weeks in Tera, but sofar id say it looks to be a great MMO mouse.

  4. You're acting like a kid who just realized he had to eventually grow up. Gear progression happens, deal with it, I worked my butt off for my champion gear without doing Ilum Circle Jerks and before they started handing Champ Commendations out like condoms at the local STD clinic.

This has **** all to do with gear progression.

This is plain robbery and unfair, and just because you like to get shafted, should mean the rest of us should.

  5. I'm just baffled that some people think that they are not doing well because they are only full Champ. BM is marginally better, maybe 3%

    Today pr. piece:

    BM = 51 Expertise

    Champ = 49 Expertise

    After 1.2:

    BM = 101 Expertise

    Champ = 49 Expertise

    Recruit = 69 Expertise

    Do the math on that...

  6.

    Why did ClogMan say:

"1) Ditch all Champ + cent gear.

    2) Buy a recruit PvP set for 500K."

Unless the stats are way better than Champion, which I can't imagine. So he's wrong or trolling.

Thanks for the vote of confidence :p

Sadly the information presented to us at the moment, shows that champion gear is worse then the new recruit gear.

We can ofc hope BW do the right thing and fix it before 1.2 comes out.

  7. You'll still be a wet noodle. You have a lot of quit in you. Gear isn't the decider, it's basically a tie breaker. If you're getting rolled now, you'll get rolled in equal gear. You've mentally removed yourself from PVP because you have the 'i don't have the gear I can't win' thought process, so you haven't engaged while everyone else is, and getting better at pvp.

So the real reason you lack PVP skills, is because you've mentally checked out from it.

You have a lot of fail in you, i feel you have mentally removed yourself from this thread...

You don't know what you rambling on about.

I do fine today against people in same or better gear, but this is not what this is all about.

This has nothing to do with , skills in pvp or what not.

This is only about pvp armor sets and their stats in 1.2..

  8. I don't understand comments like this...I really don't.

I'm currently level 51 valor and 9/10 champ gear and i'm excited that fresh 50's will have a better chance at liking the 50 pvp bracket.

For a measly 500k, a fresh 50 will have a better chance at warzones and would hopefully keep returning to play them if they have a chance to survive and help the team.

Are people honestly mad that the new level 50's will not 'work' as much as they have? Hell, i've played since launch and i'm just at the 50's rank and I have ABSOLUTELY no problem that bioware is making it easier for fresh 50's to stay competitive in warzones. It baffles me people would think otherwise.

I'm sorry you didn't understand my comment, i suppose sarcasm should not be used on forums.

To clearify, i'm all FOR fresh lvl 50 people getting decent pvp gear, like i wrote above ( i have a lvl 50 alt myself who will benefit from it)

My sarcasm was directed to the part, regarding my main char in champion gear, which i was comparing too.

  9. It has nothing to do with the new entry pvp gear at all.

I don't care about it at all.

What i care about is that they boost BM gear with 100% more expertise, without boosting current champion gear !

What they should do is this:

New recruit gear replaces cent, and get their expertise stat + 1.2 boost (100 %)

Old champion gear, gets expertise stat boost (100%)

BM gear gets expertise boost (100%)

Thats it, everyone is happy, job done, lets play ball....

  10. i like this

i allmost have full champ armor with only boots/weapon missing, wich i will have i next 10 days

by the time next patch arrives i will have my lev50 alt up, and it will be great to just buy same/better armor and start pvp and be on more/less equal terms with olders players

I came here from game where gear isnt a factor in pvp, and skill matters, so i approve all have similar stats and fair fights, cuz when this started, a fresh lv50 with l40 gear got squished by BM guys, and then marked and squished over and over again

Sure my lvl 50 alt, will have a thrill getting a better pvp armor set then my main in champion gear, spending no time and effort in getting it, for a cost of 500K....

  11. Kind of curious myself because I'm right on the razor's edge.

    Valor Rank 59.

    1000 Merc coms.

    1000 Warzone coms.

Full Champion gear except moddable bracers and my Lightsaber.

    Have over 300 Centurion coms

    Have 170-ish Champion coms.

    What do?

As it looks now, and if you have the time and will to do so.

Get to valor 60 ASAP, and get as much BM gear as possible before 1.2 patch.

Anything else will be to much speculation/disapointment.

  12. This is just LOL.

So as a champion geared player, in 1.2 this is what i will have to do, to be a tad more usefull then a wet noodle in PvP, after 1.2 patch:

    1) Ditch all Champ + cent gear.

    2) Buy a recruit PvP set for 500K.

    3) Play some non rated warzone to get 417 warzone comms.

    4) Spend saved warzone comms (max 1333 after being robbed in the merc. comms conversion) + 417 = 1750 on a BM mainhand weapon.

    5) Play non rated warsones for BM gear.

    6) a month later, start playing rated warzones to replace BM gear for war hero gear

    Thats just great....

  13. So some lvl5 valor rank noob can hit 50, go to a vendor and buy a set of gear with 20% more expertise than current battlemaster gear that I've spent an enormous amount of time grinding on two different 50's? Seriously if they are just handing everyone gear with zero effort to attain it, I'm going to seriously consider unsubbing. I've tried to keep an open mind about a lot of changes, and many are warranted, but handing out gear to people who don't earn jack is pretty aggravating.

So where is my rakata vendor, so I can go buy my pve set for 500k? Lets just give everyone all the gear in the game and remove any reason to actually log in and subscribe. It seems Bioware doesn't even think through their decisions anymore.

No you misread, it's better then Champ gear, not BM.

  14. I have 2 chars in practically full champ gear and 1 which isnt. I welcome a DECENT entry set of PvP gear. Ranked Warzones just will not work if they are just filled with newb 50's vs BM 50's. For ranked warzones to work, it HAS to be skill based, otherwise the system is a complete joke.

For those who have played 1 toon from 50, you've had it SO easy up until now. If you try and say otherwise your lying, all you've done is grind. My Sorc was an early 50 so no one in PvP had much PvP gear, meaning we were all on a level playing field. Now the further into the game you hit 50, the more full bm+ players you face. The gap between the 2 is practically impossible to beat.

I just want good fights and close competition! Who cares about smashing noobs when I get full BM gear. I play for the good fights/addrenaline, not the facerolling.

I welcome equal play as much as the next person, but that hs nothing to do with the champion conversion issue here.

The issue is that Bioware pisses on peoples effort in getting some gear (champion), which in the current world makes you competative to people in BM gear.

In 1.2 you are no longer competative, no you have to buy scrub lvl 50 entry pvp armor, just to have a slight chance, making your effort in getting champion gear a waste of time....

  15. It's common for gear in MMOs to be cheapened during a major content patch. With that said, I believe the new Champion Gear isn't modable, and it doesn't provide set bonuses.

There is no new champion gear since it's removed from the game.

The current gear that you bring over to 1.2, is orange with modable mods.

The new purchasable gear (Recruit) is blue non modable, no requirements, and cost about 500K for a full set.

So a rookie lvl 50, will perform better than a vet in a full champion set (skills set aside ofc).

Bioware is so full of ......

  16. As it looks now, the new buyable Recruit gear has 69 expertice pr. item, versus 49 on the current Champion items :(

So the champ gear you have spend a lot of effort on getting, can be thrown away, for a armor set you can buy for 500k.

    Yes it is lame.....

  17. People in full champion, maybe cent as well, have a right to ***** if BW pushes 1.2 live with no expertise bump. With BW changing the expertise cap it could very well be the new blue recruit set is a better option than champion and that is bordering on needing to have the devs ride to work each day on a short bus.

You can't expect to limit the gear gap when you take a tier 2 set and turn it into a tier 1a while buffing the tier 3 set and adding a tier 4. Bump the expertise on Cent and Champ to keep the gear gap within reason, it's not a difficult concept.

While on the subject, who was the ACME super genius that thought putting expertise on only original mods in original gear was the right way to go? I wont even get hit by this, my BM set is new enough that I havent had time to remod it yet, but I have to ask what are you guys thinking? A good chunk of the pvp itemization in this game is capital G garbage so everyone switched out mods and you knew this because it was noted as a viable alternative by a member of your dev team. I pity the people who thought "WTH, I'm never gonna need a mod with 51 accuracy, might as well sell it and gain some creds back since I spent 60k pulling these crap ones out." Is it really impossible to take every cent lvl, champ lvl, BM lvl mod and bump em no matter where they happen to be (bank, inv, diff gear)?

I'm really starting to question what in the world is going on in your meetings down there in Austin? Lie to me, say you don't have the time or money or something. Minus an explaination I can only draw the conclusion your team doesnt care about doing these updates right.

    Well said.

    /Bump for BW

  18. You certainly arent alone.

As it stands now, all us champion users are forced to buy the lowest tier Recruit Gear for 500K, and perform better in PvP.

So all your effort in getting champ gear, has been wasted.

UNLESS, they do what is the only reasonable thing, to boost the champ gear as they do with BM gear.

  19. God why can't you just be more specific and not so damn vague.

All current and future (1.2+) tier PvP gear is going through a stat transition to give it more expertise. This means you will see many more expertise versions of Mods and Enhancements instead of primarily on the base mod (Armoring/Hilt/Barrel).

So do i assume correctly, that you mean all PvP gear here ? INCLUDING champion gear will get a expertise boost like BM gear does ???

  20. Obviously the pvp team at bioware is failing big time .. It took me a long time to get my champ gear as a casual and now come 1.2 its worthless? Holy mother of a duck ... This could be the end for me ... Not to mention im an operative... They really screwed me big time...

I totally agree, playing casual PvP, and opening ****loads of champion bags only containing comms, and scrape together a full set (not even there yet) and make it LESS worth then the basic entry level pvp set in 1.2 that can be bought for 500K, is just unbelievable stupid and unfair (i would use a more colorfull language, but i don't think i can take more warnings from the mods).

If BW can't even upgrade the champion set expertise stats, so they remain within the same difference as today, compared to BM, i just loose the remaining little confidents i have in BW.

This might seal the deal for me and just pack up and leave this game for good....
