  2. I'm so happy this game revolves around 1v1!!!!

     

    Also pt's can sit in the 6m deadzone a marauder has and do damage to them while spamming 1, I REPEAT ONE, ability while they wait for rail shot to come off cool down.

     

    I didnt say this game revolves around 1 on 1 what I am saying was in reply to a person saying they need all those defensive cooldowns because they are melee.

     

    If as a mara you cannot close on a PT/VG you truly are bad. I mean its not like you have a long speed boost. or a 12s 50% cripple. or a cloak, or a skill that reduces ranged acc by 90% for 6 or a charge on a 15 sec cd or a skill that reduces damage by 20% and deals dmg to the attacker

     

    I mean come on.

     

    ps that 1 ability we can spam 6 times and will roughly fo 1-1.5k a hit and only has a 25% of a reset on RS/HiB. But its not like you have anything that reduces accuracy or any skills that reduces dmg by 50% and 20% and 99%.

    2. True, Hero Engine wasn't designed to handle it, no matter how good your computer is.

     

    World PVP failed because:

    1. Bioware allowed people to make both sides on the same server - it killed the illusion of having an actual war - I don't hate the pubs and I'm certainly not at war with my pub alts. :)

     

    2. There are no other incentives to do it - no tokens/credits, no buffs, no looting corpses, no nothing.

    So why do Open World PVP, if you could just play a warzone instead and get some rewards?

     

    There was no rewards for world pvp in swg yet it was on every night. I mean why did people do it for no rewards? because it was fun. and not like wow.

     

    The desire for Open World PVP is still alive.- yesterday, while farming world event boxes in the Pub areas of Nar Shaddaa, a bunch of flagged pubs actually fought with me (they were low levels and died quickly, but obviously, the desire is still there). Now, if Bioware could just find a way to make it happen.

     

    i will pvp in the swg emu - just because it fun and not so heavily "rewarded based" as people seem to think they need to do any thing.

  4. You know what would make Marauders and Sentinel overpowered? giving us a 4 second stun that pretty much EVERY other class can get that does not break on damage. Giving us a aoe ability, giving us the ability to guard and taunt, hell why not give us the ability to root someone 30 meters away? Also if you can't kill a Marauder or Sentinel after Guarded By The Force is up you are truly bad. Again we are given these defensive cool downs and utility (10m Root) because we are up in the fire taking the most damage as a pure dps class, not a tank/dps class that can taunt, guard, etc. Look at DPS Snipers? why would they need all these defensive cool downs? oh i forgot they can attack from a 30m range and did i forget to mention they have cover, 2 aoes (correct me if mistaken), about 2 roots . . . take away our defensive cool downs that keep us from getting face rolled 24/7 and what are we? Oh we are a Sorcerer except without the 30m range abilities, force speed, Static Barrier, heals, knock backs, aoes, and oh god the stuns the god forsaken stuns. I'm not even gonna go on.

     

    Basically

     

    You and every other qq'er need to L2P badly.

     

    For the record i am defending this class because i would always play it, not only in this game. Not because terribads like you are to lazy to l2p and can't counter worth a damn -.-

     

    Im back to point out how pointless you are.

     

    Taunt - Reduces damage taken by players. Except the person who taunts. Learn the animations. If people are taunting you in a 1v1 they truly are terribad.

     

    Guard. Yet again doesnt effect in a 1v1. And also guard is the most epic way of killing 2 people ever, with only a 5% dmg reduction.

     

    You say you are given these Defensive cooldowns because you're melee. Van/PT are also a melee/ranged hybrid and have 2 defensive cds/ both are pretty pants and on longer cooldowns then yours.

     

    And pretty much to do dmg on a vg/pt you have to be in there face 10m or less yes we have some ranged skills but our dmg is mainly from 10m or less.

     

    I think your getting a bit offttooic, snipers dont have stealth.

  5. To be fair, as a marauder if i didnt have stealth i would almost be an instant kill guy plus the fact i have no stuns except for an AoE stun that breaks on damage....

     

    do you mean a kill or be killed guy? welcome to the rest of the classes, bar op/sco assassin/shadow.

     

    you only have 1 stun? i think you should look at your toolbar again.

    I guess you didnt Read where you quoted me then commented about how everybody complains about you using it to escape death and when you use it for something else its a l2p issue. Esp since I am the only who who has said to you that its a l2p issue if you're using it as a gap closer.

  7. Do you have a Marauder or a Sentinel i forgot. All you people complain that we use it to escape death but when we don't and we use it for something else then its a L2P issue, 0/10. I also use Camo when i get a Thermal Detonator thrown on me sometimes (-50% damage), when i have a bunch of dots on me, when i get pulled into a Hazard that is not the fire, guess that's a l2p issue also. .

     

    yeah i do. And maybe you need to add L2r - as I havent once complained about you using it to escape death. And yet again you seem to be pulling random things out. I have never said using force camo to take less dmg from a thermal det is a l2p.

    If your talking about GBTF it doesnt make you immune to dmg, it reduces dmg by 99% and yes that includes dots/grenades and ele damage. So maybe you should of tried playing it a little longer?

  9. In some situations its more wise to use Force Camo as your Gap Closer, like when i am fighting a Sorc Healer half the time if i where to Leap in they Stun me instantly and run off. So i use Camo as my first Gap Closer then when they begin to run off thats when ill use Leap.

  10. Dont get them started, they will say is hard to stunlock a sent whos used his quote on quote god mode. Or they will complain about the slow or the ticks of the dots. They would also avoid the fact the the god mode bubble doesnt make you immune againt elemental damage or granades/dots from snipers and gunslingers. I know all this by trying the class and if you focus a sent or maurader like any class he/she will die.

     

    its surpising that if you focus any class they will die.

Force Camouflage is an extremely effective gap closer: the Sentinel pops it, closes in, starts wrecking his opponents face in who has no choice but to use a knockback or stun and run away (or pray for help from his teammates). At that point, Force Leap - and bamm, he's dead, basically.

     

    its 15 sec cd on your gap closer. one of the best and quickest in game and you use force camo. l2p.

     

    The only time force camo should be used as a gap closer is on snipers/guns

  12. Honestly Stealth is not suppose to be used as a getaway but more as a more effective gap closer to range enemies who pretty much destroy us if we are not paying attention. And since you gave no real argument about this topic i have one answer for you, its quite simple actually. L2P this class is not overpowered if you know how to deal with it *sigh*

     

    no, thats force leap. on a 15-13 sec cd. if your using force camo as a gap closer i think you need to learn to play. and while your at it, maybe you should pop GBTF at the start of the fight.

  13. I'm sure marauders and powertechs outnumber the other classes in ranked warzones by a factor of 10 only because people like their animations :rolleyes:

  14. honestly, at this point, either he/she is a troll, or just completely clueless. people need to stop responding and perpetuating this crap.

     

    if ANY pyro used this as their opening sequence, i would take the time to type in "/laugh" and then own them, while face tanking the dot while they're stunned.

     

    i really can't think of a worse opening combo for a pyro, except maybe if you auto-attacked from 30m to point blank, and then FB->RS.

     

    Im betting most of the time Jediduckling wonders why HiB/RS doesnt work and gets greyed out slightly.

  15. the burst dps for the pure dps tree such as pyrotech was not nerfed,infact it feels more like its been buffed and if it has that wasnt a very bright idea.

     

    pyrotechs and the vanguards version is far to powerfull for it to be kept the way it is and i can understand players trying to defend there class but its far to strong to be kept this way.

     

    Yes it has. Twice. one nerf to ARP on railshot/Hib and the placing of an internal 6 sec cooldown on the RS/HiB cooldown reset.

  16. Carnage marauders have: Gore, 1 rage, 4 m range, 15 sek cooldown. Does x-amount of dmg (depends on gear) and grants gore for 4,5 sek witch increases armor penetration to 100%.

     

    Now I will not call that a constant/guaranted armor penetration. Out of 15 sek , 11,5 of them are without armor penetration. A CC at right time and you wasted Gore totally. Also remember most of carnage abilitys are white dmg trew melee attacks. They have to be on the target and they get alot of dodge/perry/miss on their attacks.

     

    so you're saying that its ok if its white dmg? rail shot is white dmg and has 90% arp.

The interesting point here..I only see it in Hutball....issue with game sw structure is obvious so it is a bug or a exploit....however I lean towards cheat because an entire team experiences it..mine..however, the opposite team doesnt and scores 3 times within 3 minutes..hmmm how frakin convenient...we all get lag, all on different ISP's, different systems and yet all lag at exact same time. Think about that and then explain why the other team isnt lagging..oh and this lag I only ever see in warzones never in world instances..and thats the common denominator that leads me to suspect we have more exploits being used...again.

     

    How do you know the other team doesnt experience it? and Yes we are all on different ISP with Different PCs but you're all connected at the same time to the same server. And yes the crappy Trollware servers can lag.

  18. Unlike other mmos, swtor uses Legacy to give your character a legacy name. This IS ACCOUNT wide for all toons on that server once you get it. People look at legacy names. Do a run with a guy named Han Solo and it goes great. Then one day you see a Leia Solo looking for a group, you know it's the same player. Since the legacy name is the same, you know its just an alt (alternate) character.

     

    This works in reverse thou too. Some guy name josh starkiller is being a jerk to you one day and then you come acrosse a brain starkiller, you already know what this guy is all about.

     

    Be mindful of how you present your self in swtor, there is no hidding here.

  19. The stated reason for Expertise is so PvP is not dominated by PvEr's, but alas it still seems to be the case.

     

    Rakata stims, heals and other equipment is being used to great advantage in PvP. These two styles of play are not separate at all. The best PvPers are using multiple rakata items.

     

    So why do we have expertise again?

     

    Expertise is affecting rakata stims?

     

    We have Expertise so that a full rakata/blackhole or w/e isnt as good in pvp as somebody in Full War hero.

    Why you are bringing up Buff stims - I dont know. maybe this is your first MMO.

    As to the heal stims - warzone heals will heal for more then a rakata if you have 16-17k hp. You dont have to use them but it helps. same with the adrenals.

     

    Im not actually sure why you are crying, But I am willing to bet you die alot in pvp and rather then trying to figure out how you could play better/ improve your toon you have come on the forums to QQ about heals and buff stims.
