[how much different story per new expansion?]

Hey guys

 

I would like some clarity regarding how much new story there's per new expansion. Say I have done all 3 main story chapters of all 8 classes. What I've read, rotHC brings a republic and an empire story, so you only need to do that storyline with 1 of each faction. But then it seems like SoR brings new content for each of the 8 classes, is that right? And what about KotFE and KotET?

SoR starts a single new storyline. There is a single class specific quest when you get to Rishi, but that's really it.

 

Both Fallen Empire and Eternal Throne are also a single story, all 8 class stories basically converge at the beginning of Fallen Empire.

[Server Alignment]

Is it per server? I believe it may be per game.

As far as the meter, they'll "poll" the data once every couple weeks (or once a week, probably during maintenance), and post something on the website.

My understanding is it won't be real time. So my guess is every maintenance day, we'll get an update.

I thought there was supposed to be a way to see what a servers DS/LS alignment was. Can't seem to figure out where that is, or if I am simply mistaken.

[So why do you think Empire loses the war?]

Who says it's forgotten, I'd say its just not mentioned. There are around 3,000 years between SWTOR and the movies. That's how I look at it anyway.

At stage 3 of the bonus, where you have to obtain an Archon Code Cylinder. Only, the NPC that is supposed to drop it does not appear to be anywhere on the map. In the past, admittedly it has been a while since I bothered with this bonus, he has walked the path between the 2nd and 3rd mining platforms.

[Legacy Datacrons]

Don't even lie about it... just put in a ticket requesting to have those characters restored.

They don't care why you deleted them and they've heard all the excuses anyway.

 

I'm sure they have a restoration policy (X number of restores over Y time) and as long as you fall within it, they'll do it.

 

I would do that, but I can't remember the names of the characters that did the collecting. I've created and deleted WAY to many toons over the years.

[Legacy Datacrons]

At some point in the past I went through the effort to get all the Datacrons, back with the old stats. Since that time those toons had been deleted, so when Datacrons where finally made part of the Legacy I was not able to log into those toons and unlock them.

 

However, I had the Datacron Mastery Achievement, and the decorations that go with them. What I would like to know is there EVER going to be a way to unlock these Datacrons that I have already put the effort into getting. Or is my only option to go through the, often irritating, process of gathering them all over again.

Possibly the most rare of any item I've seen ... so few are dropping it seems.

 

Over on Shadowlands I have seen 3 Unstable Arbiter's Dualsaber, for 50-75 Million, and 1 Unstable Arbiter's Lightsaber for 100 Million. So quite rare, though I still think 100 Million for a Lightsaber is ridiculous.

I've noticed that on Story mode, though I am not sure if there are supposed to be two in story. I've also noticed, that in the half dozen I have done in the last day or two I get the exact same Paladin's every single time.

While I doubt that there will be a new class, ever really, I would not mind seeing a class that, depending on spec, can do either range or melee. Like the Rouge in Dragon Age: Inquisition. I want to shoot lightning and hit people with dual lightsabers, is that too much to ask?

Your characters story is the main story while leveling, and with the 12xXP you don't have to do anything but the class story.

....because that's not actually possible to do.

 

There is no way to develop something like the Togruta, Nautolans, etc, in such a way that their leku wouldn't clip with every possible chest piece that's in the game, not unless you made it so that their leku didn't come down past their ears, which isn't what people want.

 

Also it's not like Bioware would go in and do something like manually adjust the leku height/position per every individual chest piece that would cause clipping. They'd have to create dozens of armor specific positions for specific chest pieces that possibly aren't even used all that much. That's an insane expectation especially when you/they don't know how many people are going to buy them or when that sort of painstaking time could be devoted to something better.

 

There are numerous chest pieces, most notably heavy armor chest pieces that are so bulky or have giant shoulder pieces that it's simply not possible to create any sort of hair/leku style that goes down past the shoulders that doesn't clip.

 

It's gotten to the point where most people don't care about the leku clipping through chest pieces anymore because they know at this point if they want X species in the game that's just something they're going to have to deal with.

Togruta will be in Game Update 3.3 on Tuesday! We are pretty excited for all of you to get your hands on the new playable species.

 

One thing that sets Togruta apart from other species is that, due to their Montrals, any item worn in your head slot will be automatically hidden. By introducing a new playable species which hides its head slot, this gives us the potential to introduce other species down the line who have "head things going on."

I believe the Cathar were 600cc, I could be wrong as I bought mine off the GTN which is another way you'll be able to purchase them.

 

However they are not humanoid and don't speak basic - those two points alone (and not to mention the tons of other reasons why not) mean this will never happen.

So please - drop your hopes on that one (which I'm personally pleased about).

 

Actually, the Hutt that helps on the Republic side of Makeb spoke basic. I believe he said they can speak basic, but most choose not too.

Also, if you have an alt already though the Yavin quests. You can get a set of gear for your companion from the weekly and they can use it at level 55.
