  1. Hello all,

Thanks Bioware for asking for and taking feedback. I will say I find the most "overpowered" ship to be the gunships. I personally love my scout, and I have no issues taking on other ship classes, and can even hold my own against more skilled Imperial scout/strike fighter classes. However, I would say 75-80% of my deaths come from gunships, especially in Team Death Matches. In fact, I played a TDM the other day and 6-7 of the players on both sides were flying gunships. It becomes a battle of the "snipers" and the dog fighting aspects of GSF went out the window. I end up sitting in the back in my scout waiting for a straggler or loner gunship that I can engage, and many of the times I'm getting one shot from 20,000 meters out before I can even close the distance, and my scout is pretty fast, and I have evasion perks.

I have seen some players suggest decreasing the range of the gunship, which I think would be great, or perhaps even slightly reducing their damage a bit. It becomes quite obnoxious though when the opposing team has 6 gunships posting up in an open area on the map, and I have to hope my scout can close the distance before I'm utterly annihilated by one of the 6 gunships all targeting me, and most of the time in one shot. I like the idea of a gunship, that fighter that can clear out some mines or defense turrets so the bombers and strike fighters can move in, but their abilities to hit fast moving, small targets easily from any distance, especially when the entire team is rolling gunship and basically having an auto-locking rail gun that one shots almost every one my fighter, takes away from the entire idea of a good ol' dog fight.

**Here is a personal wish of mine, and since it didn't fit in any of the specific threads, I'll throw the suggestion in here. While I love the music this game has, I feel GSF needs some classic Star Wars music playing while in these space battles, like the soundtrack during the first and second Death Star battles or even the Battle of Hoth. It would give GSF a more epic feel.**

  2. I was super excited about this event cuz I went out to Tatooine to do the dailies and I just saw a bunch of imps! There were too many to choose from to kill lol! The best part is I think most of them were trying to be polite and letting the reps do the daily, and I said **** that and just started beating on anyone I came across and started a big frenzy, it was awesome. Let's have some more of these in the near future.
  3. You're using tank gear. I can tell.

That's not what the OP is talking about. : )

Ah I am in tank gear, you know too much :)

I guess if he were talking about hybrids, like DPS gear and tank stance/spec, then that might occur sometimes, but we have guys like that on our server and I have yet to see them pump out the numbers like that of a good sentinel or commando. Then again the guys on our server could suck for all I know lol.

  4. Although I would agree with giving operatives at least some means of a gap closer, being tied to your target would seem more of a hindrance because I'm not sure you would particularly be able to move three-legged racing with your target :p but a gap closer would be nice for my smuggler.
  5. I'm obviously playing my tank wrong cuz on a good day, with a personal healer and never dying, I can pump out MAYBE 200k damage, and still be near the bottom of the charts in damage as compared to sentinels or troopers. In fact I get out dps'd by most pure dps unless they are brand new to 50. I'm sure you can lend some helpful tips. Cuz, I know unlike most other tanks on my sever, I actually protect my healers. I love seeing a geared tank in a WZ with 15k damage absorbed and 200k damage, while I sit between 100k and 200k damage absorbed and 100-150k damage. Taunt is your best friend as a tank btw.
  6. the problem is that while i agree that the rewards should be given based on your rating i dont agree that the rating should be the ONLY freaking thing you get.

Cause plz , cars colors and that other crap does not count.

What is the point of playing to be the best , if all you get is NOTHING.

The point of playing to be the best is to give yourself that sense of accomplishment, You, through all your hard work and practice have become the best. You did it. I wrestled 4 years in high school to become the best, and I placed first place at our CIF playoffs (I did not make state) and got...what... a gold medal with a ribbon strapped around it. So I was the best in my region and got basically a shiny, but you know what I was damn proud of my accomplishment. I didn't go crying to the county complaining I didn't get enough reward for my first place achievement. I became, or tried to become the best for me, and only me. Not for some dumb reward. I guess if all people do things for are only if they get rewards then... hell, we should all re-roll bounty hunters lol.

  7. He never made either of them official apprentices until the rule of two allowed for it though.

Simply preparing is fine, look at Bane, founder of the Rule of Two, he prepared to replace Zannah with Cognus in Dynasty of Evil, doesn't mean he broke the rule of two.

I don't know if it is just me, but I really don't think Sidious gave two ***** about the rule of two lol. All he cared about was being on top, hence the reason he was constantly trying replace his more "powerful" apprentices. Lucky for him some of the Jedi did it for him. ;) Sidious likes and cares only about himself.

  8. I cringe when I read these posts, because I knew this would happen. Here is the thing, the Sith are not really psychopaths, and the Jedi are in no way emotionless, but they are in SWTOR. It is important to understand that Bioware is currently obsessed with this idea of forcing players to constantly make "trade offs" in which the player must always suffer a consequence for each decision. Choose to play a Jedi and you are emotionless, or choose to play a Sith and you are a psychopath, killing your own empire’s soldiers, citizens, and slaves then drinking their blood and defecating on their bodies while giggling.

There are several major problems with this:

    1. It constricts the flow of fun, ensuring that everyone is somewhat displeased at all times.

    2. It creates a lack of controversy in the storyline, meaning it is childish and often boring.

    3. Because of the lack of controversy, we will not get the same quality of lore that we got in KOTOR 1. We will keep getting lore that involves a dangerously obese inquisitor who exists only to be “evil.”

    4. Players will completely lose faith in bioware’s ability to write, and will soon continue to play the game with their own idea of what a Sith/Jedi should be, regardless of what happens during the storyline. Even if we do get the same quality of lore as we did from KOTOR 1, it will go unnoticed; everyone will be predisposed to the idea that any lore produced by Bioware is garbage and will automatically reject anything Bioware writes, even if it makes perfect sense. (We saw this happen in World of Warcraft)

    5. It creates a disconnect between the player and their character, causing them to often abandon the character, and sometimes the faction all together, jumping from one alt to another until the realize they cannot fully connect with any of them. At this point, one of two things will usually happen:

--- The player will return to which ever class they initially chose and just go through the motions with little interest in order to hit level 50.

--- The player will stop really caring about the storyline/lore and will embrace the idea of being an emotionless robot (if Jedi) or angry serial killer (if Sith). These players will usually jump over to the empire and never really care to connect with their character, they just sit there blindly choosing DS options and go “Haha, that’s funny, I stabbed him”

I disagree and agree with this to a certain extent. I made a Jedi Knight and went full light. I loved it. However at some points in time I did feel like I was "emotionless" For example with Kira, during some our convos I felt like she was my friend (I didn't romance her) but I never talked to her as a friend it seemed. My choices were either very "jedi-like" or just insults. But I remember Bioware creating characters that I actually grew found of.

I believe an imp called watcher one on Taris was the most respectable imp I had met, and I actually let him go as opposed to send him to jail like the other imps. There was also a female Voss that I worked with and her character was very moving and I was able to show that I cared for her on my Jedi, and if they gave me the chance to romance I would have. I think Bioware did a pretty damn good job for the most part and I enjoyed being a Jedi.

  9. When I logged in on the first day of early access on my Jedi Knight, I asked in general chat if anyone knew if they were gonna add chat bubbles. I thought it was a harmless question. The first response I got was "Chat bubbles aren't needed in this game, Go back and play runescape noob." That was about 20 minutes after the game launched on Dec. 13th. :( My bad social experience didn't take long.
  10. I usually, 1v1'd in duels on my rogue in WoW just to quicken my reactions to moves and learning how other classes to play, but when I lost, I lost (cept for mages lol). And honestly I never made 2200 rating, I only got to 2000 but I knew even in that game Teamwork > solo "OP" classes. And I worked damn hard to control the fights like my little rogue play style was supposed to do. Just like my Guardian tank here in swtor. Btw I love tanking in pvp.
  11. I try very hard not to complain about classes (except for when it came to mages, it was more than reasonable to complain about those nightmares) and try to learn how to beat them best I can. But in my opinion SWTOR balance is pretty good. Tracer missile is easily fixed with an interrupt and a well placed stun. And sorcs.... well I'm still learning. But I have also learned my class' roll, I'm a tank, not a stealthy, or healer, a tank, and it's my job to help people live (mainly my healers, and I definitely keep a close eye on them) and to control the enemy healers as best I can, so I don't come crying to the forums when I lose to a sorc, because good teamwork can counter these "OP" classes very well. No complaints here and honestly, I'm loving SWTOR PvP, but I will say Ilum needs a little work.

    My 2 cents ;)

  12. How exactly is Bioware supposed to make the Republic win more warzones? It just sounds like your Republic players just aren't as good as the Imperials. It' also just might be certain servers because on my server the Republic win frequently. World PvP is a different issue but you said warzones and that Bioware HAS to do something to fix the fact that the Republic lose, on your server, 90% of the time, or subs are going bye bye. Sure there might be a battlemaster difference due to some bad issues earlier in the game but, I geared up, and so did the Republic on my server, and before you knew it we were doing just fine. Also, I'm not trying to kiss Biowares *** or anything, I just wanna know how you propose Bioware fix your servers apparently bad Republic players. I can only think of either giving the Republic a buff or taking away the Imperials BM gear, but that would just piss even more people off.
  13. I tank PvP at 50 on my Guardian and I will say it is VERY effective, as long as you have a decent healer in the Warzone. You can tank without a healer you will just not be as effective and most likely die more often (unless you stop guarding people). But as of right now, I love it.

A healer, me guarding him and two DPS fought off the entire empire team from one of the nodes in Alderaan Warzone. I'm not saying we were god-like players, maybe the Empire team had many new 50's but nevertheless, it was 8 on 4 and we killed ALL of them. They focused healer so I guarded him, then guard leaped at him, then area taunted. He literally took no damage for about 6 seconds. He kept us alive while I helped him stay alive and the DPS picked off the imps one at a time. Very fun. I got a kill in as well :)

  14. I absolutely loved the Jedi Knight story.

As the Jedi Knight, you literally end up being the hero of the Republic. You fight the mother****ing Emperor! And kill him, although that is to be debated. Nevertheless you fight the Empire's head honcho and beat him 1 v 1 (I know you have T7 but I was a tank and he was wearing Tython gear and was pretty much useless) From the start of this game I wanted two people dead, Malgus and the Emperor, and as a Jedi Knight you kill both of them. That would be like a Sith killing Satele.

  15. I love this game! It has so many things it can do. I hope they open up the suggestion box again so I can send Bioware ideas that I think would be great to expand with. I love the PvP, PvE is always fun. They just have so much they can do, I can't wait to see what this game adds on top of it all in 6 more months.

As for the whiners, my favorite are the PvP whiners. "Nerf Tracer Missile QQ"! Those Bounty Hunters are the best because all you have to do is interrupt one of those missiles and most of them don't what to do with that 4 second silence on that move and they stand there like idiots.
