  1. What we are still experiencing as a bug is Kephess 1-shotting tanks after breath. I and our other tank would continually die instantly after the breath was cast to his Savage Arcing Slash. It wouldn't seem to matter when we taunted Kephess off each other, it was just instant death after the breath. We tried during the beginning of the cast, right before the cast finished, right after, and every time there was nothing we could do. The 4th bomber, while an annoying bug it's still able to be handled, but Kephess bugging out and 1-shotting tanks is a wipe every time.

Yeah we had a really hard time with this when we first got to Kephess. The absolute key to solve this is your tanks must taunt DURING his cast. He does the knockback, then he starts casting. It is a short cast timer so your tanks need to be ready. It must be DURING the cast. It is KEY. Some things to consider for this is make sure the person dropping purple circles runs towards the way kephess is facing so that when the current tank gets knocked back, Kephess will be in range of the OT to taunt during the cast. You dont have time to be chasing him all over.

  2. And generalizations are for people who can't make good arguments!

All kidding aside, "addons" are just UI elements/mods that aren't included by default, so that players can customize things to suit their needs. This doesn't mean they have to be things that play the game for you (which is exaggerated anyway, but I digress). If addons only take information that the game already gives you and let you change it into a different form, then I don't see why anyone should complain about a lack of "work".

People having an advantage by using addons while those who prefer a challenge refraining from using them presents an imbalance in the game. Why should people with less skill deserve the loot that those who put forth more effort get? So the game can be fair? Life's not fair. Get used to it. What's the point of people not using addons if they exist in the game? It lets all the newbs get the gear that they work so hard for. So what's the point of keeping a fight challenging when everyone in the server can beat it? The only imbalance that should be left alone is skill. Addons remove the imbalance. Bioware, please don't nerf skill imbalances.

Colorblind people can't "work" at seeing certain colors, so if they want to change the color of certain icons, I don't think they are lazy. I don't think a lack of work ethic motivates those people who may want a "free ability" proc icon to show up someplace they actually can see it, with some shape/color/icon combination that makes sense to them. Maybe the default UI will one day contain enough customization to satisfy everyone, but I doubt that's even possible, much less worth developer time.

Seems this problem could be fixed by not having any two graphics be the same. It's kind of ridiculous to me how many buffs in this game have the same graphic. But yes, default UI customization is not something I'm against.

  3. This is not about people not being able to manage threat, it's about the tank being aware that he is about to lose threat, and can thus go nuts generating as much aggro as he can before he loses it.

The reason I say this, yes its good for tanks to be doing as much dps (and thus threat also) as they can. But sometimes we're busy observing other things in the fight, and an indicator would be a nice way for us to know we need to go nuts on threat before we lose it.

Your tank should always be "going nuts on threat". If you are losing threat because your tank is not going 100% at all times, then your tank sucks at his class. Your argument of "observing other things" is a bad one. I'm raid leader and main tank and I have no problems with threat. Not since the 1.3 patch when they fixed what they correctly observed to be a flaw in mechanics. And before that patch came to the rescue our dps just controlled themselves better and I used the taunt button a little more frequently. learn. to. play. Add-ons are for lazy people and scrubs. If you want the loot, WORK FOR IT.

  4. Keep it primitive. Keep it caveman. Keep it challenging.

If you want to know how much dps you are doing, record yourself with Fraps, go back and watch the video, add up all the numbers and divide by the amount of seconds in the video.

Sound ridiculous? Yeah, so do threat meters in the place of LEARNING HOW TO PLAY.

The arguments for buffs/debuffs being too jumbled and confusing is legit, all else are unnecessary replacements for learning to play.

  5. Do not ever add a threat meter of ANY kind.

If you cannot manage threat, you suck at your class. Do not make this a game for kids to be able to understand and jump into on day one like they did with SW:G.

Keep the challenge. Keep the difficulty. Let the cries of newbs and baddies fall on deaf ears. Your real fans and dedicated customers are the progression raiders. The people who need a challenge. The people who need to compete. The people who want to feel like they have accomplished something, not just lining up for the loot that everyone who plays is entitled to.

  6. Okay, one last update. I did some poking around in the crafting to see if I could duplicate the problem and I figured it out.

    1. Start more than one object in the crafting queue.

    2. Cancel something at the end of the queue (not what's currently being made) by right clicking the picture of it.

    3. Start something new in the crafting queue at the end of the line.

    4. The item that was canceled in step 2 will still be crafted when the item in step 3 finishes, even though canceling the item in step 2 gave you the mats back.

This could seriously impact the GTN.... I want to test it some more but I fear the banhammer so I'll just leave it be

  7. Okay, so I'm starting to think its not the schematic broken (easy to assume since its new to the game), and is more likely the process of canceling a crafting queue (while some crafting is still going on) and starting a new pattern in the queue. I suppose the workaround would be to wait until all crafting you let stay in queue finishes after you have canceled something before you begin crafting anything new.

Developers can probably duplicate this quickly and sort it out. But this still doesn't fix the fact that my item is nowhere to be found and my ticket in game was closed.... customer service is seriously lacking.

  8. I also want to add something for developers that I forgot to put in the ticket. I just realized it while I was thinking of it. I had the same companion that crafted these bracers crafting other stuff first and canceled them. Here's what happened:

Ship droid was crafting and his queue went in this order... Rakata bracers, Rakata waist, another Rakata bracers. When the first Rak bracers finished, they crit with an augment slot. So I canceled the second queue of bracers that was after the belt he was currently making. Then I queued the campaign bracers. He finished the belt, no crit, and started crafting the "campaign" bracers. When it finished it was rakata.

  9. So I got the Campaign bracers from Hard Mode Denova. I reverse engineered them and was lucky to learn the schematic for them on the first try. These are the Assassin tank bracers to be exact: "Campaign Survivor Bracers".

THEN, I set the ship droid companion to make one. The mats are NOT simple. When the droid finished, it gave me regular Rakata bracers. Rakata. It used all the difficult mats of the Campaign recipe to craft Rakata bracers.

The schematic is crafting the wrong item.

Edit: You can see the droid reporting in the second picture what he crafted in the chat box.
