My devotion to this game is unparallel, even with such games as Wildstar and ESO that have come out within the last few months. And even though I am somewhat excited about Galactic Strongholds and 2.9, I know I am not the only one with the second expansion in the back of his mind. Now, I am fully aware that you cannot give any details on it. However, is there a small chance you can at least enlighten us to when we will hear something on it? Or will you probably wait until after 2.9 to reveal anything? Please tickle us with just a small piece of data here for those who continue to remain faithful.

How often does ranked PvP actually happen on this server? I am considering moving my guild here from the Bastion in time for 2.7. However, is it worth the trouble? Or are the que pops more frequent?

It's the Rakghoul event...
Thank you for blunt response, but if you follow any of the post or even watch the video, they said "new" event. So please, /facepalm yourself again for not paying attention. Even if it is the Rakghoul event, the fact that it's on Alderaan changes things significantly.

I am curious though, you mention nothing in the patch notes concerning the possible killings on Alderaan? Cause I do remember Andrew Horwitz mentioning a new event coming in "mid January." So...ultimately, can you shed some light on where I am going with this speculation?

I am looking to possibly transfer but would like to know some details on some of the most efficient RP and PvP guilds on the server. So if you could, just please post a link to your website so I and possibly others could check out your guilds. I am currently only interested in Republic side, but if an Imp guild posts some info, I could care less if it helps someone else out. Thanks for the help and hopefully will be joining you all soon enough.

1. Ranked is hard to come by. Even when we actively try to set it up . . . something always seems to happen and one faction or the other flakes. When it does happen, it's awesome.
2. You'll find a lot of guilds that RP stuff in depth. Most of them are small and are things like 'this is my group of 4 friends RPing this story together.' There are some bigger and really awesome groups too. I recommend Pathfinder for Jedi RP. Really Solid group of people. I don't think I know of a group that does Jedi RP better. Lots of times Jedi RP ends up boring. Not with Pathfinder. They do the works, classes for Padawans, trials, group missions, everything. I remember one mission we all grouped up and were assigned 'strike teams' and went and each team did a series of flash points that all melded together into a story arch. <Comm> ing each other back and forth. They also have Delta Squad. (I think that's the one, someone correct me if wrong). That's more military based. But, still tied to the Jedi. I know I'm currently working with a friend to get Strike Team Aurek going again. We are a deniable asset for the republic military set up to take the imps head on without ending up actually throwing the Galaxy into all out war. In short, lots of good RP out there.
3. Aisthesis has 2-3+ groups flying at pretty much any time of day so far. We've been only stopping our queue's to Raid, sleep, eat, and work/school since Tuesday morning.

Also, it's a chunk of money to transfer stuff over. I'd suggest rolling a lowbie on any server you are considering, play around a bit, find some friends, test the waters. Then decide to move stuff over or not.
Very cool, thank you. It definitely helps me get an idea. I will probably roll a lowbie first before transferring one of my toons over.

1. Ranked seems to only happen if people actively try to organize it. My guess is that because of double XP weekend and the GSF release happening so closely together ranked hasn't been happening much at all, but maybe someone who actually does ranked can give you a better picture. Still, if ranked is a priority, a PVP server is probably where you should go. Then again, you say you want to leave the trolls behind, so maybe not.
2. I don't roleplay, but it seems like there is a lot of it going on in the fleet cantinas, nar shadda cantina and the starter worlds. Probably most of the indepth stuff happens in guilds, which there seem to be a lot of.
3. Yes there are a lot of coordinated teams queuing in for space pvp. My guild (<Saberwing>) usually runs two to three groups during prime time and has opened up our teamspeak server for anyone who wants to come join us or just needs voice for their own squad. Information on that can be found here. I've seen teams from The Core, Azure Blades, Silent Council, and a lot of other well established guilds too.

There are people here who heal 2.7k+/s, but I've also seen a level 50 trooper before the first xpac dropped. There are DPS who rush in there and melt down everything, but there are also tanks in pve gear tanking with his magnificent 26k health.
There are guilds 5/7 NiM SNV and 5/5 HM DP, and there are noobs like me who figured out how to clear SM TFB 2 years after it came out. There are people on the top of PVE dummy leaderboards and willing to share their ideas and experience about his class at any time, but there are also captain omnipotent yelling at you for failing to heal him who doesn't taunt or guard.
There are people who can do a 1v2 or 1v3 node cap, but there are also people who lose node in a 3v1 fight. There are people in 78 min/maxed who is doing a SM FP with a nice attitude, but there are also tanks in prehistoric gearz who won't taunt the boss because he is afraid the boss is going to kill him to death.
My rule #1 of pvp is never rage quit, my rule #1 for pve is to break all the CCs and stand in as many AOEs as possible. *cheers*

Well said...your sales pitch may have just won me over. However, I believe all of this is consistent with any server. I was mostly interested in coming over here because of the population and easier time difference.

Btw I used to be on this server and I saw a sage saber striking in a flashpoint cus it looked cool, while clicking hardcore and "messing up his bar." Lot of players, lot of terribads you will find everywhere.
Well...that's not very encouraging.

What's the server status over here concerning:
1) PvP Ranked
2) In depth Republic RP Guilds
3) Those who actually strategize for Space PvP
I am in CST and have been on the West coast servers for almost 2 years, so I am looking for new scenery. I have a 55 Vanguard (Main), 55 Sage, 55 Sentinel, 55 Gunslinger, and 55 Commando. Any input would be great, thanks!

If you pre-ordered RotHC you got a Markrin Seedling pet, a Scourge of the Hutts title, a Dr Oggrurobb statue so you can train your skills anywhere you like, all on every character you make now and in the future.
In addition you got early access to the content which you have been playing for the last six months.
And now because they've decided to give away this old, out of date DLC you have the gall to come on here and whine "I want, I want"?!?!

There is a maintenance patch tomorrow morning, keeping my fingers crossed that PTS is up before then so I don't spend hours staring at the swtor launcher screen.

One question I don't think I saw in this long thread is will there be stats displayed after each match like 8-man warzones such as overall DPS, Heals, Protection, etc.?

LOL, that kid is not me. He is one of the marauders from Nothing Personal (I think) that name changed. He showed up on my friends list one day without me ever adding him and Sunhfksjdhfkjdshf (i dont remember the name but it started with "Sun") disappeared from my friends list and the server.
I assumed he was just trolling and not really trying to pass himself off as me but....
