  1. The ugly truth of the MMO community is that there will be those individuals who will have a "near vertical" learning curve. They are so wrapped up in their own little universes (of which they are the center of) that they could not care less about other people. It is just something that you are going to have to deal with. Best to leave them to their little solipsistic fantasies.
  2. You wont get the points shown in convo until the end of that chain (the quest turn in. when you get your reward)

I have completed quest chains with Ashara where the AP awarded to me did not match what was being given during the conversation. (either half, or none at all)

  3. If I were to hazard a guess, I would say that making the Legacy Name Server based was pure pragmatism. Somewhere along the coding process, BW decided that it would be more practical/easier on their end to attach the Legacy name to the Server over a player's account; perhaps their thinking was along the lines of, if Server transfers are allowed, they do not want to deal with the possible headache of figuring out what to do with the possibility of two players, on the same Server, with the same Legacy Name.
  4. I see I am not the only one who does not get all the affection points from conversations with Ashara. For me, it is spotty; sometimes I get the AP, sometime I get half, and sometimes I get nothing. Something is going on with Ashara's coding to be getting this kind of erratic response. I have made a couple of tickets describing what happened, but I get the reply that there is nothing to be done at the moment.
  5. I'm on my 7th day with the same "daily" pvp mission. Granted I only have time to play about three to four WZs a day - but that's 21-28 WZs without a win.

Let's take the turret WZ for example. The imps go, as a group to left or right and take control while sending 1 or 2 mid to keep it from being taken. Meanwhile, there are 3-4 rebels at each turret getting wiped.....

    What's the deal?

To try and make the claim that just because you cannot win on your own server that the Republic loses in every server is just erroneous.

  6. So we are 3000 years back. Still the world look like the new movies and Clone Wars series. Vehicles have not changed much, armour and weapons are the same. Even the clothing design is very close to Darth Vader! Trooper armour look like the ones in Clone wars series etc.

Did the world stop 3000 years back and only people got older? Didn't the weapon design change at all? They made one armour and then they said "lets use this one for over 3000 years now"... hello?

It's like our world would stop at 1920, same cars, cloths and so on. Walking around looking like Capone in 2012?

Maby it would have been better to stay 3 years from Clone wars in the story?

You need to keep that "iconic look" to keep the lore whores and fanboys happy.

  7. I'm only level 16 and I've already come across quests designed to be ninja looted. This is a deal breaker if I come across more quests that are designed to be ninja looted. I play this game to have fun, not to be pissed off because the developers makes quests you can't do with more then 1 person in the zone

You have no clue as to what actual "ninja looting" is.

  8. Republic storyline is the same all the way through. Everything is falling apart, disjointed and filled with corruption and incompetence. Oh look another person that betrayed the Republic /yawn.

The whole way through you get the opinion that there is no leadership in the Republic, everything is decaying. Even the fleet sheep looks dirtier and more rundown.

Empire stuff feels space age. You feel like you are part of a warmachine rather than an incompetent bureacracy. Sure there is some infighting and a few power struggles but all in all there is more purpose to the storyline, I feel less like a Mr Fixit on Empire than I do on Republic.

Of course this is my opinion/impression.

There is also a few other things such as ability imbalances between 'mirror' classes. Ability delay (see Project vs shock, Death from Above vs Mortar Volley), talents in the Sage tree broken when mirror talents Sorcerer tree are working as intended.

Better responsiveness of for imperials on turrents in Alderaan Civil War (see Youtube clips)

All in all it seems like more work went into making things work for the Empire with more polished stories.

I have to disagree with you about the Empire. If you think helping out incompetence and overall stupidity is being part of a warmachine, then hey, you are part of the biggest warmachine in the galaxy. Seriously, it seems like every world I go to makes me /facepalm for the things I do for the Empire. The Empire is constantly losing stuff (which if they put some effort into it, could easily reclaim for themselves), are always, ALWAYS under-maned/under-equipped to do ANYTHING (funny, you have all these soldiers and equipment just lying around...), and the officers are basically clueless as to what to do next. I swear I am waiting for a Quest for my Inquisitor that goes along the lines of, "My Lord thank the stars you are here! I cannot seem to find my ***, despite my head being shoved into it! I am using both hands, I swear!"

Neither faction is "better" than the other. The Republic is a slightly evil Sergeant Bilko, and the Empire is Gomer Pyle, USMC.
