I have done everything, even deleted and reinstalled swtor on a different SSD
I turned my cpu speed down...though it wouldn't be anything with my system since it is only level 70 Characters with this issue...
I ran it on this older system and same thing just 70s lock the computers up.
a 69 wont a 49 wont a 12 wont...
it is the oddest I will be bush whacked problem.
I guess I could delete those characters but ummm NO...
I put tickets and you all know nothing really ever gets done with tickets.
There is almost no one working on this game
Our expansions are updates in most other games...
Has to be something messed up in those 70s codes...
Owell...its just swtor...not like its anything special among all the others
WAIT...it is STAR WARS it is special...yet treated like a outdated 15 year old game...

I have a very strange issue happening
ONLY on level 70s does this happen
My system locks up doing just about anything on a level 70...
Any toon lower there are NO issues.
It is not my system or my internet..
I already tried several games that actually use my system aka swtor doesn't need to much to run on
I uninstalled and reinstalled swtor today on a different SSD and only have SSDs in my computer and
never had a issue like this before.
all my 70s are unplayable due to my system locking up for several seconds then it is find when i dismount my entire system freezes for several seconds.
my system
i7 5820 running at 4.0ghz
16 gigs of ddr ram
MSI gaming 1080 ti
Saber-tooth X99 motherboard
3x500 gig SSD
1x 1 TB SSD
850plus 80 Power supply.
win 7 64 pro
all drivers are updated
ONLY my 70s have this issue..
No other games duplicates this issue
I am asking for help...
Just 70s and nothing else...freeze up my entire system for several seconds. Every time i move or mount or dismount a level 70 character

Lack of any in years and piece meal is NOT a expansion. Running around for a hour in a chapter back and forth nope...
THIS is a expansion massive and unmatched yeah I did go back...all 3 accounts are running again.

Not much content. 1/16th at best what BFA will be more likely 1/64th
Some will say it is the best expansion of any mmorpg of all times. They will be wrong since it wont be all that much.
Some will say , hey we got something be grateful we come anything at all...well One last breath and then no more air...hmmm didnt help did it now?
What there is of the expansion half will be broken or missing both half will work for some of us the other half it will not.
Many exploits because it wont be written very well...thats also..
We wonder why they just keep busted stuff to hide the since the game has been broke

CONTENT SIZE...AREA of content , missions added as in amount of missions, Ops added, flashpoints added and pvp content added.... also NOT a over a year parted out content NO all at once.... like BFA and we already know

Half the size of BFA , I will pay for 5 players Subscription for a year . 100% safe i wont be paying anything
One quarter the size of BFA 1 players Subscription for a year 95% safe that wont be.
I know it will be like 1/32 in total content...if we are lucky
Honestly i just say this because I am righ,t EA has made BW 100% predictable...but least the game is still going..
I would gladly be wrong , it would cost me a lot for 10 people but worth that amount of content...

Playing from Australia for the last 10 hours and haven’t experienced this issue.... yet....
I have to agree with some of the other posters that some of these problems are probably caused by connection issues due to routing through some dodgy backhaul infrastructure.
Otherwise everyone would be affected. Either that or people’s PCs have a comon issue. Which could possibly be an automatic update of some software, drivers or operations systems or even having botnet malware installed on their systems and activating at the same time.
There will be a common denominator that is only affecting some people. Once that is identified, people can take steps to find a solution.
Not my system, I cant log in when I did it said -1 Characters .
I am sure it isnt my computer unless EA put a virus on my gaming system it is used only for gaming nothing else.
This system is used for what i am doing right now typing here. There is another system that ONLY is used to pay Bills it does nothing else , kind of a waste it is a gaming system I built and all it is used is for Bills lol.
It is identical to my daughters computer which she games on playing just about everything set to max or ultra levels . Waste of a gamign system to just pay Bills on
This is EAs issues we got a new back-end system all new hardware which ummm NO we didnt not. Swtor doesnt make that kind of money the money was for Battlefront 2 and well that has failed also and EA is walking on from that giving up on that game EAs greed cost them on BF2 but it didnt dent them they still carry on as the greed toads they are...
EA is not honest not to be trusted and ask your self a BRAND new GaME with beautiful graphics so much to it BF2 i speak of and they have given up,. Once again potential so much there the space fighting is what GSF should have been not a out dated flying system, Dog fighting in BF2 was fun...far better then GSF Galactic Space fail
HOW IS SWTOR still around they give up on the best looking best playing star wars game to date and yet we drag on...and i mean DRAG....hmmm DRAG maybe can we dress our dudes in chics clothing if we cant thats anti cross dressers and stuff shame on your EA lol

This is sad and proof EA and BW have no idea what they are doing. Sure some achievements might not be doable anymore but they still remain as if you can do them.
You should get a achievement that those of us who have been here since the beginning got on day one as a founder But you can get founder still or did that finally stop it?? I know you could get FOUNDER at one time being new to the game 4 years in..
MOST other MMORPGS even OLDER achievements you can get if you do missions or quests , they are outdated but you can go through the movements to get them.
in SWTOR they just do not care they fix 1 thing break 10 fix 10 and the game breaks.
We already know that EA has given up on Battlefront 2 its 6 months old and they lost their butts on it
due to their own greed.
They CLAIM there's like a 100 people working on it but No they have yet to release anything promised if they had 100 people working on it they could be releasing promised and planned updates maps fixes etc etc
Kind of like swtor...a handful of people working on this game.
I'd bet my 68 SS NOVA they have less then 20 working full time on swtor... ( my nova is worth around 50 grand and yeah baby she is the fastest car of any player in the game LETS RACE , no freebies it will cost money to race it. )

If we made the money FIFA ( SOCCOER ) does 800 million last year in people BUY teams for 1000s oh yeah

GTA V has made 6 billion dollars. Just GTA V
It makes millions everyday . Yes its buying in game money but you know what you are buying.
The biggest thing in that game is they LISTEN to their players and they actually LISTEN.
I play It online and i cant deny spending some real cash for in game cash.
The entire Star Wars franchise is at 3 Billion so far and thats since 1977

So here it is We are told new content. Its been many years since we had actually content.
Not this chapter crap piecemeale or a new Operation piecemeal when it was totally in the game they just strung every one a long on a tiny hook and no bait.
So new content real content something like all other MMORPGS do...
SO if if we get actual new content like Whats coming for WOW and I have seen the shear size of it..and well everything we have gotten since launch doesnt equal it...but I will give a little HALF the size of whats coming to WOW.
If we get that much content all at once NOT piece by piece over months Plus new flashpoints and a full new operation. Some new PVP and well GSF died when it began for the most part. pish
We get what I consider content comparing it to all other large mmorpgs and we are not large we are tiny.
What I will do is pay for 5 players for 1 year.
CONTENT not crap not pieces CONTENT
If this lol CONTENT coming is massive and I mean something to rival The Battle for Azeroth( i know I know come on EA/BW are not in the same league as WOW you are asking to much )
But if it is that big I will pay for 20 players for 1 year of game subscription .
However we know I wont be paying anyones subscription because we know what they call big is a joke.

Will they do April fools this year?
If so my guess is detailing updates on the way such as:
- New Operation
- Actual Class Balance
- Season 9 Ending
- and 6.0 Actually on the Way
Since we know all of those things will never happen.

but no where as near the amount so far I did in WOW running 4 accounts for 7 years
Nor do i see any reason to run more then 1 in swtor though i do know a guy who runs 8 and he has one hell of a set up.
he runs 26 accounts in WOW...
Now I have spent far far more money into other games because they were well worth it
Warthunder 4000 dollars and i only play it part time...still worth it
Mechwarrior online...lol EA wish i spent that kind of money on swtor..
Smiling how much I spent it on Mechs I have bought every single Mech bunch or pack.
It has to be over 10 grand and I only play that game part time.
Any game I feel deserves and is worth my money i will spend a lot on.
Those two games have replaced their engines more then twice to keep it looking incredible for the players

CARE ABOUT THE PLAYERs... and they prove it no excuses given
World of Warships...well not to much but near a grand so far..
When i quit Rift and WOW to play swtor I kept paying Trion and Blizzard for a full year even though i didnt play anymore because they Deserved it... That wont happen here though...EA deserves nothing.

I´m on 4th ticket with the ingame customer service, and they keep refusing me my conquest title and achievement because their "alternative fact" dokument, says the guild who came in 5th won that conquest round.
Now my question is, who do I do when the ingame customer service is a complete fail?
You have to now there are very very few now working on this game dealing with this game.
Many wont admit it but swtor is running on empty with people working on it
This game for years has not been a priority . We barely get noticed.
I have had unanswered tickets for years.
Same issues pop up now and then for over 4 years THEY rarely fix anything the add over it creating more issues.
There is article from a well known writer who's resources are 98% true.. If this person says it well its truth and what was said doesnt leave swtor in a good light

Earth and beyond a long and OLD and DEAd game and it is a EMU now...NO thanks to EA WE the fans of it re-wrote the entire server side from 1000s of screen shots and pen and paper info...it took several years and several people had to go to school for C++ and other stuff ...
I was mainly a editor for Clipping issues .
EA wanted a outrages amount for the Game plus a %% of all earnings was to be no earnings just a free game for the fans of it.
EA allowed US to do so but under some force choking rules.
1. WE could not compiled the EXE which we could have I had all of fords computing power available but it was a no no.
2. can not charge anything for the game though we donate so we can pay for the server we run it on.
3. We can not change the front end to the game . So when we launch the game we had to create a luanch point then it went right to EA aka WESTWOODS front end ot log in then once logged in and then jumps to our access whatever...that causes issues
1a. since we had and have to work around the exe that causes odd issues like debuffing doesnt always work right damage isnt always right Mobs act weird...
But that is the life of a EMU
Now once we source coded it our-self we found a ton of content we never had access too and we opened it all up so many new sectors stations lots of stuff hidden as possible new content when ever...
PLUS there DISNEY yeah the ones who could CRUSH EA and wish they would...I hate the last JEDI but I know the power of the MOUSE...EA is big but small compared to DISNEY and the MOUSE..
SO making this a EMU that will never happen...though you can get around a lotof it but it would require so much work by making sure nothing was the same pish
took 7 years to get E&B running and I still play it from time to time..But even as old as it is EA never allows anything to leave it they fear someone might make something they killed into something GREAT which swtor never was it was OKAY at best.
Let this game die when it does.. That number 1 MMORPG still out earns it has more then 5 staff every game they make is a block buster and LASTS...

Sure, I remember when they added level sync, I was still playing at the time. But I swore I had read that instances were bugged and were going to get fixed 3 years ago.
If this is intentional, I'm gonna have to cancel my sub again, since Bioware has clearly abandoned and given up on this game.
It isnt Bioware anymore it is the slave master EA...if you haven't been paying attention to what started last October with EA then you are truly lost.
EA is the biggest problem of all EA games. 1. Once they go live they pull 50% support and either move or fire half the staff.
EAs thinking once its live we dont need much to run it into the ground.
Right now there cant be more then 10 AT best still working with this game.
I seen what a good gaming company can do and EA might turn out good titles...but whats it is out
thats about it...FIFA though is making near a billion a year but you have to pour a lot of cash into that game

As Musco mentioned in the Live Stream yesterday, we’re busy working on an update to the Roadmap which should be available in mid-February. Keep in mind, we’ve just released Game Update 5.7, so expect the Roadmap to give you insight about the next 90 days or so.
I’m not ready to discuss all of the summer events and beyond that we’re planning. And, I definitely will not provide any information on what’s included in 6.0

So, as always, hang in there, and we’ll provide you with what’s going on with SWTOR!For the many of you who have asked privately, yes, I'm doing great, but December and January are typically very busy months for us with all the planning activities. Personally, I've been playing quite a bit, and am focused on crafting Superior Augments for my characters. Hopefully, I'll reach Elite Warlord on my 2nd character, very soon, and to be honest, I'm pretty happy with all the changes we made this past year for Galactic Command.

Every-time I hear LONG TERM plans from anything from EA It reminds me of the Beginning March of 2004
WE have many plans coming in the next few months more content etc etc etc.
Middle of March 2004...we are sad to say we will be shutting the servers down it has been blah blah blah...
Anything from EA has to be taken with the thinnest of threads..
I was wrong about many things with swtor...But TRUST is something one should never give to EA
You have a few people killing themselves trying to put out what you call content we call a couple of hours at best.
SWTOR has the slowest content to be released of any mmorpg and I could name several but I dont think i am allowed. too.
Just admit you have to few working on this game because of low income and EA wont waste money anymore.
Truth is always better but EA never speaks it.

It will roll down hill and to date EA has lost 8 billion dollars. Now swtor isnt a huge cash roll like so many thing it is. We are a small amount of money and a lot smaller then people would think.
They could drop this game and it wouldnt be notice as a cash income. It would save them money to drop swtor.
Sadly WE wont be getting much done or fixed until EA gets BF2 fixed or better yet DISNEY takes the IP back and it is in their contract do any harm to OUR STAR WARS we reserve all rights to remove it...
EA could fight it in court but the MOUSE vS EA the MOUSE could just keep EA in court for years and the entire time burning EAs money and all money earned could be the MOUSES money.

No MMO lasts forever, and at the rate SWTOR is losing population and money, EA is liable to just pull the plug. And EA only has the Star Wars license until 2023.
With all the content and story arcs in the game that put some purely single player games to shame, what do you think might come of SWTOR when the inevitable shut down happens?
Convert it to a single player RPG (like KOTOR), or will the game disappear like so many other MMO's before it? It would be a shame to lose all the work put into SWTOR.
I dont know if this has been said but DISNEY can RIP the IP from EA with EASE and it is written in the contract if they do harm to DISNEY'S IP and it has done great harm

EA has some serious problems right now. Swtor is a minor thing to them we are not a boat load of spendable cash.
Their sizable mark value loss all due to another game they have which should have been a CASH cow has turned into a giant sucking sound of cashing running from EA and about TIME.
I would think if swtor can just remain online through 2018 will be a blessing because we are one of the smallest projects going they can cut without losing any profits since we really count for so little.
Cutting Swtor wouldnt cost them a billion not even 500 million this game sadly is like 2% of any income
But I have no way of proving that But the proof of what just happened and how much EA just lost well that is out there and EA can not hide it or they would.
Lets just hope swtor stays online and not worry about content because we thought it was little before...its going to get very little compared to now.

I hope too that they would put more of their attention to this game, considering that Star Wars in general is doing really well (especially after the announcement for new film-trilogy and tv-series coming in 2019). The sad part is though that they are understaffed and more focused on putting more effort to other games. Which in a way is understandable since those games are/will be new, but that doesn't exlude SWTOR from there.
Doing generally really well and yet forced to merge servers is a contradiction.
EA has fought merging servers because it means one thing and it is clear as your head on your shoulder.
Though generally doing well maybe your head isnt clear. I knoiw Mine isnt anymore and never will be.
But If we have the millions playing as some think we do there would be NO way EA would fund new servers to horde so many people into a few servers. Those servers are costly that hold a 100,000 and more.
EVEs one massive server is not cheap and they are still growing after all these years...Well when you put money into something you make it better and bigger. They have changed their engine twice to keep up with the times.
Yeah in huge battles it looks like a data sheet...but you can go into a ship and fight that way just harder to see the big picture.
WE are not dead but we are not doing so well either The game is very sick and there is only one cure and that wont happen. EA is the sickness of most games it touches and WE ALL KNOW THAT..

Michigan here.
Never had such horrible lag issues , except at launch in swtor
We know it isnt my ISP Or my computers because all 5 lag and all 5 are different.
Only swtor.
Pinging the servers I dont get that issue but in game its difficult to just fight a single mom.
Its been like this since onslaught . I already cancelled swtor for the first time since launch .
Hoping they get this fixed before next month or I am just sticking with Classic BEEP...No lag there and 100times as many people...
