  1. Yea, being able to prevent half the warzone from charging you is a severe limitation.

    It is very easy to get a sniper or GS out of cover and keep him out of cover.....try sometime you might be pleasantly surprised.

     

    Of the benefits of cover the "no jump" thing is the absolute only benefit of it....cover is a hindrance..

  3. I think people really overestimate snipers here...if anything snipers need a buff.

     

    When you see the symbol appear on you..LOS it...the sniper is not going to come after you....lol he can't

     

    They don't really bring more DPS to the table than other DPS classes, and have many more limitations than those classes.

     

    Sniper needs some overhauling and some buffing. Cover is a severe limitation, if you don't know how to keep a sniper (or GS) out of cover...

  4. It is their own fault.

     

    Stealth is a bad design it gives too much advantage in a PvP arena.

     

    I don't see why MMO makers don't realize this....this issue comes up in most new MMOs.

     

    Getting a free high damage shot from stealth is seen as intolerable by most players and an unfair mechanic.

     

    Stealth classes will always get wrath thrown on them as a result.

     

    It is not good design and MMO makers should reinvent the light armor DPS archetype....Stealth is simply a gank tool.

     

    This "saga" of the stealth classes will continue as long as MMOs exist if they don't

    Apples and Oranges really...you are talking archetypes.

     

    Do you prefer a tank or a DPS?

     

    That's the real question here.

     

    But yeah cover is a pain in the a** more hindrance than benefit.

  6. Hmmm I have to disagree.

     

    I have a 50 sniper and I have been playing a sorcerer. Wow what a difference, I can't really comment on Maras or sents but sorcerer blows away my sniper in terms of DPS and utility. Whats more Khem Val is a much much much better tank than Kaliyo. Kaliyo spent most fights face down very early and she is suppose to be a tank.

     

    Khem Val with noob armor on tanks elites two levels higher...with Kaliyo this is impossible (in fact I now use temple for higher DPS).

     

    I can waltz into a room and smoke everything with a sorc, I had to carefully plan everything with my sniper (don't get me wrong that was fun). But as a class sniper has too many limitations and does not have the DPS to compensate for those limitations. This is a design thing really.

     

    Sniper needs a serious overhaul..good idea, bad implementation...my sniper is on hiatus until something gives.

  7. Companions come equipped with a green customizable weapon.

     

    Is there any difference between these and the orange ones.

     

    I can't detect any stat-wise. With a good barrel etc I assume it is just as good as an orange.

     

    Anyone have data to contradict this?

  8. For me PvP was a way to get credits and get decent gear.

     

    I am by no means a serious PvPer

     

    I never expect the farm when losing but I did get just enough to keep me interested in PvP.

     

    Now with diminished compensation for WZs there really isn't any reason to que up.

     

    Maybe the intent was to block casual PvPers I dunno.

     

    As is now you took a slightly irritating but necessary activity and made it too irritating to engage in.

    Yeah I am out, I used WZs as a quick way to get credits and comms, really no reason for me to do them anymore.

     

     

    I mean not a single credit? Geez come on thats stupid.

     

    I can see a decreased amount of comms credits and xp..but zero is just stupid

    To me...

     

    Camoflauge....snipers have no stealth at all...what we do have is a glaring red shield that says come **** me up the ***.

     

     

    Long range, one shot kills......we have neither the longest range or the single highest DPS hit.

     

     

    Nothing at all about the sniper class....says...you know...sniper.....

  11. Either half the cast and cool down times of ambush or significantly raise the damage and defense penetration on it

     

    Slightly lower cast time of snipe ( this Is sometimes instant but not always)

     

    Allow series of shots to be used outside of cover (as well as in of course)

     

    Fix cover pulse (fails me about 50% of the time) and give it a longer root

     

    Fix entrench I shouldnt be able to be knocked back with it up

     

    Give us stealth detection either in passive talent or activatable skill

     

    Increase damage mitigation of cover and award against all damage types

     

    Increase range to 45m

     

    Roots should not disable dropping into cover (1.2 is supposed to fix)
