  1. Thanks to your community support reps/customer service for getting back to me in game - and referring me here.

Please please - for those of us on hi rez monitors (I'm gaming on a 4k widescreen laptop and an ultra ultra wide 32:9 3840X1080 PC monitor) - allow us to be able to move the "galactic stronghold' ownership sign (also the guild ownership sign). These interfere with being able to reposition crafting interfaces, GTN, etc - if the window opens under the SH ownership sign. You can't move or repositiion until the sign disappears --- which if you are visiting a SH - can take forever. (I literally have been looking at the sign, and unable to move the crafting window for 20 minutes).

This literally is interfering with the normal use of the game. And it is happening on both gaming machines I use.

I understand why you may not want to allow the removal of the windows -- or, being able to make them smaller. But being able to move them a little to the left or right would allow for normal game play.

    Thank-you,

    Seena

  2. It's not entitlement; it's support for access to a product we pay for when it goes wrong during our peak play times. If SWTOR did not want us (the rest of the planet), as customers they would have (should have?) made their game accessible to American customers only.

There are many "country-specific" based companies/organisations that offer support to customers regardless of their country/time zone. It's good business to be able to support your customers wherever they are. SWTOR is one of the few that doesn't. I'm in Britain (Europe) and play other American based games that offer support during peak play time hours during BST/GM; it is not "entitlement" to expect otherwise for something I pay for.

So --- how much "on demand" support do you expect for what amounts to half a cent an hour payment?

IF you are actually paying it.

You are free of course, to go to those games offering that awesome customer service -- they are, according to you, the majority - so, you should have lots of options.

Why don't you check out Bethesda-- I bet they would be EXACTLY what you are looking for! ::s*****r::

  3. Wish there was a way to know who subs - and who freeloads, in order to discern who actually is entitled to an opinion on this.

You are paying 14.99 a month (at most -- SOME of us are) - which amounts to what, about TWO CENTS an hour? for unlimited access to a venue that runs 24/7.

If losing a few hours of game time because of the inevitability of bugs/issues in a game that runs -- constantly is upsetting you to the point of vitriol - you need some serious perspective.

  4. And wondering what happened to the mission discovery drops? I've literally done hundreds and hundreds of slicing missions - and not had one drop. The only time I have, is when I used a slicing mission!

Were these nerfed? Is it a bug?

edit - my comp influence is at 50 on the 4 that I run slicing missions with. I do get crits for tech parts as expected (mostly - some levels seem bugged).

  5. But please please please consider making the Stronghold Ownership flags/Guild ownership flags/Achievement flags moveable.

For people playing on ultra wide (and especially those of us on ultra ultra wide -- (ie 32:9) - this notification blocks important into and interferes with clicking on items. It really is not just inconvenient - but can also interfere with game play.

Being able to move it to the left or right would solve the issue! (But anywhere would be even better!)

    Thanks,

    ~S

  6. So getting back into the game and getting set up again I notice these things...

    • I must have left before 4.0, nevermind 5.0.
    • Stats are consolidated, skill trees all different.
    • There used to be a thread from dipstik and KeyboardNinja with some heavy math about tank stats. They still maintaining that? Think the 3.0 calcs are still valid?
    • Looks like level cap is now 70.
    • Maybe I should roll a new Vanguard and play up to max to get used to all the changes organically. Would be fun anyway after so much time away.

I rerolled for all of those reasons. It's been very helpful - and leveling is super fast.

I loathe the over simplifications - you even pick your advanced class from the start now.

But, the changes are growing on me.

Doubt the calcs are still valid - BUT there are plenty of updated calcs out there.

Ok - maybe not plenty - but they exist.

  7. Hey guys, who do I contact if I want a refund on my sub time, cartel purchases, and collectors edition refund? At the very least I'd like a refund for the money I've spent this past month. This game is jsut not fun. At all. Everyday its something, companion bug, quest bug, patch bug, bug bug... bugs since beta... I feel like this is like the worst cash trap ever. Thank you.

I think your punishment for this whine should be -- 100 hours of game time in Vault 76.

    MMOs have bugs.

Maybe checkers might be the game for you?

Oh - snap. You can lose the checkers........

  8. Well, games should sacrifice reality for fun - unlike life. If I wanted how things work in life, I'd just stick to life. I don't want my games being a life-simulator.

Of course, this was about gear right? And the report is that bolster is going to be max gear level now. So I'm not sure what we are discussing here anyway.

Your idea of "fun" - negates the reward of hard work, and goal accomplishment. Giving someone who plays 2 hours a week the same gear/abilities etc as someone who plays 30 - detracts from the the other player's accomplishment.

But then, people are getting "participation" ribbons and trophies these days - so, I don't wonder.

  9. Thanks - very much, for the help! Wish someone would compile a current list of all attacks that are interrupt-able, and channeled ones that aren't. I tend to be a one trick pony (Vanguard) - but looks like I'll benefit from really examining the the other classes. I played through them quickly years ago for the buffs - and then never played them again.

    Best,

    S

  10. Enjoying the game very much, and getting back into PvP..

There's been so many changes, and I never played a healer. I recall there being a list of heals that should be interrupted, and ones that shouldn't. Did multiple Google searches - can't seem to find any recent info on this. Can anyone recommend a good source regarding which heals/attacks should be interrupted, and which aren't uninterruptible at all? (don't want to waste those precious interrupts!)

Thanks for any help anyone can give.

  11. Yanno Bioware created this monster - they have only themselves to blame.

Somewhere they had this idea that they could satisfy the "casual" gamer and make the game the same for them, as it is for people who can/are willing/are able/want to put in more time.

No game design - NONE will ever make your 10 hours of gameplay a week equivalent to someone who plays hours and hours and hours weekly.

And no game design will ever make a so so player - a great one.

And no game design will make the top 5% -- play the same as the bottom 5%.

    Nor should it.

Again - I attribute this incredibly irritating attitude to the last 25 years or so of schools giving every kid a trophy, a ribbon, a prize. Telling every kid they are "the best" and "the greatest". Well - buck it up - not every kid is the best. There's always someone better than you are. There always will be someone better than you are. Who has more time to play than you do. And it isn't the devs job to make things "equal" for you - it's your job to grow up and accept this fact.

  12. You've stated your opinion; many people do not feel the same way. A reduction to WZ XP would be a significant hit to large group of players, myself included.

    "Significant hit" -- right.

Either way -- yes, it's obvious I've stated my opinion. I will continue to state my opinion. And you certainly can state yours as well. As often as you like. It's what the forums are for.

  13. Why this is mostly true, doing good amounts of both PvE and PvP to level (did this my first character and its fast) but since I really hate PvE and doing the same type of quests over and over and having it viable to do your grind mainly through PvP and only doing your class quest this kind of sucks.

I'm an altaholic - I get what you're saying - but I just swap out the PvE quests so I'm not really repeating that many....

I actually make sure I'm not on the Fleet so I don't get the rested bonus....

  14. I was actually cursing myself a bit the other day for purchasing all the +WZ XP Legacy Perks. All I do on my Vanguard are LWZs and the Class story quests. He's now level 45 and has only managed to save up 2000 RWZ Comms. Wasn't thinking he would be able to cap out before hitting 50, but now he might.

Meh - I didn't purchase them and I still feel PvP levels me too fast :p

  15. This question came up on my server forums a while back. I'll tell you what I told them: can you use warzone medpacs and adrenals outside of warzones, the ilum battlegrounds, or outlaws den? The answer is no. So why then would you expect expertise to be enabled if these two components of pvp are disabled. If I catch anyone flagged outside of these areas I'll be using my pve gear, medpacs, and adrenals. Good luck gettin your pvp equivalent to work

    You on Ebon Hawk? :)

And note - no one said a word about pve adrenals. :)

  16. The tread you linked was this one..........

Also double checked thread to Q&A and no dev posted on it.

Apologies - got links mixed up.

Here is another mention of the debuff bug:

Sure. Short answer is, your understanding is wrong. Expertise applies to any damage incoming from or to another PC.

Again, this is pretty easy to test. Get a guildie and duel each other. Trust me, it works.

If you mean why isn't the trauma debuff isn't there in PvE areas, then I would assume it's the same reason that WZ adrenals and medpacs don't work while you're /dueling, they're coded to be based on your location/area within the game (IE, if you're in a WZ or not) and not based on your PvP status.

    http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=541173&page=2

That's at least 2 mentions of the trauma debuff not working with out of WZ PvP.
