    You are a grown up man (obviously from your post), and you can't realize, that the days of theme-park based WoW-ish MMOS are over?

    WoW sucked the life off the genre in this form, on top of that BW made a crappy copy of WoW, when ppl were looking for something else than a WoW with Star Wars skin?

    Can't you get it?

    It's done. This game CAN NOT be fixed, the way you want, because you want a structural change. I doubt they can do that in less than a year time. All they can do at this point is release more of the same - FP/OPS, which is a dead end, cause ppl don't want more of the same, they don't want quantity and to repeat the same they ran away from WoW for, they want quality and the structure of SWTOR have nothing more to offer, sadly.

    They can add new class based scenario/story - which is then taking us to the next point - why would i pay monthly for a single player game in a, only by words, MMO. And why would i play a semi decent single player game when i can play so many REALLY good and made to be single player games, that are out there.

    I, for myself, as soon as i hit 50 realized it's not what i hoped for, it's just the same old plane WoW-ish boring grind and even the PvP, which could have kept me in for a while, is a big fail with the same old mistakes of both WoW and Warhammer mixed...horrible.

    The first to make the really next gen MMO with new breaking features will be a success, BW failed, they are going down and they are going down fast, because they used a wrong model, wrong design and failed at too many points.

    With total 500 mil invested and over 5 years and so many examples, a studio like BW should have realized the simple truth - the only game that was and can be successful with the WoW model is...WoW.

     

     

     

    This guy has it spot on. People were hoping this game was going to deliver something different ( i know i was ). I hit 50 about 2 weeks ago, the game is a poor man's version of WoW. You can put across the argument " its a new mmo give it time " but i think we can all predict the future of this game.

     

    I personally think they have made a massive flop, initial sales might be high but they are going to bleed subscribers. The MMO genre is very stale and I can safely say the only new MMO that's going to change the genre will probably be Blizzards new one.

    Yeah just as I predicted but as always WoW diehards are in denial of their dying game. Honestly instead of trolling these forums trying to get folks to quit TOR they should be trying to circle the wagons of their own forums.

     

    Not a WoW fan boy or anything but those numbers really dont mean much. Its always the same at the end of an expansion. The numbers will jump right back up again when mist hits. Also wow is 7 years old now you have to expect subs will start trailing off.

    That 1.7 is going to drop by a significant amount once people start hitting 50 and realise just how much of a watered down WoW clone this is.

     

    I really wanted this game to be a success, I have limited time to play video games now with my job. I have invested over 4 days played game time into this since release date. I can safely say it's the biggest waste of time ever. This game gave me more frustration than enjoyment.

     

    Also good luck finding tanks for PUG's at 50, Tanking in this game is just pure frustration. You literally feel like a YoYo getting pulled around pillar to post by NPC's.

    A lack of any form of combat log/recount is another issue for myself. Don't even get my started on the pvp bag system!

     

    I don't want to see this game fail but i wont be surprised if it does. They have done themselves no favours.

    Terrible FPS issues and ability lag in Warzones.

    This needs to be Hot Fixed ASAP, I can run the game on max settings (apart from shadows) in the world and i get a solid 60-80 fps. When i hit a war zone its between 10-25 and skills have a 2second delay.

     

    This has been like it for a few days now and with no official word on the problem I don't hold much hope for this game. I will play my character to 50 because the story is A+ but no pvp= no subscription for me.

    Yeah, it's not the unoffical English server, I don't care what others are saying about it, please stop spamming it. ¬_¬ It's annoying having an hour queue on it every time we want to play. There's some Light PVP servers, go hang out on there, make one of them the unoffical english server.

    LoL is the unoffical English server so deal with it. British people like to play with other Brits because we know the Gen chat will be mainly English and not be spammed by Russians!!!!!!

    I started playing on a pvp server because I believe that its more realistic. Im on server Niman and the republic is badly outnumbered by the empire.

     

    In truth I care little for pvp. I play mmos for the pve content and questing with friends. Is it worth it for me to stay on this pvp server? I really dont want to be ganked as I try to quest and so forth.

     

    What do you guys think?

     

    I think you should think for yourself! if you're not having fun on a pvp server move to a pve SIMPLES!

    "Tomb of Freedon Nadd" already has a queue so if you like waiting, go join that one!

     

    Don't join Legions of Lettow though, it's already getting full!

     

    Also, it indeed is a unofficial EU English PvP server.

     

    menka what side are all these english guilds on? im hoping to get in the game somepoint today or tomorrow and was just wondering.

    hmhmhm, yes AND no

     

    allot of people is good for world pvp and any group play, but not good if you have limited play time

     

    time will tell, i am chomping at the bit

     

    You're right about limited time and long queues. I'm in the same boat mate, just log on when you get home from work then go do other things ( like iron cloths for work the next day) while you wait for the queue time :)

    Hey guys

     

    im lookin for a server to join where there wont be loads of people speaking foreign language in general chats and such.i was on a server in wow and the top guilds were czech and they wouldnt allow non czech people join so it was kinda annoying..

     

    can anyone recomend a server or 2 that would suit.im irish by the way.i should be in the game on thursday or friday

    this is true.

     

    i know my luck. by the time i get my EA LoL will have a 9999 queue :p

     

    I'm stuck at work all week so i dont expect to start playing till Sunday somepoint (depending if i get my early access). I hope LoL does get the long queues though. Its better to wait and play in a full server than a ghost town one.

    I was going to roll on that Tomb of Freedon Nadd server till i found out there are 800+ spanish in 30 guilds rolling on it. Balls to that!!

    Its no more off putting than english servers being taken over by spanish, russian, hungarian, polish etc etc.. as they all seem to be :)

     

    I don't know why they haven't introduced Spanish and Russian Speaking servers. Would save all the hassle of trolling forums to make sure you don't end up on one of their bloody unofficial servers.

    I hope people are not put off with this Unoffical brit server tag LoL is getting. I dont care where anyone is from all i ask is to keep it english in gen chat.

    Spanish have like 30 guilds coming to the server. The english speaking PvP Initiative have like 160+ guilds with 4.5k+ players. There's no way spanish will outnumber anything on the server, let alone general chat.

     

    Spanish +30 guilds!! good luck with that.

     

     

     

     

    Just to edit this i have nothing against the Spanish. I just want a English speaking server.

    With the amount of Spanish rolling on TONF server you have to be naive to think Gen chat is going to mainly English. I'm sure the server will be organised and have some good pvp. But its not going to be worth the headache for English only speakers. I was stuck on an unofficial Spanish server when i started WoW and i swear I'm never doing it again and would strongly advice people against it.

     

    For the British / people wanting a mainly English speaking server, it looks like LoL is going to be the better option for us.

    A lot of hostile replies here, do you welcome guilds on your server like that as well? :)

     

     

    Anyway, I still didn't get any competitive UK PvP guild names for LoL.

     

     

     

    If anyone's interested knowing about Tomb of Freedon Nadd PvP guilds etc, please pop by at #tofn.pvp @ Quakenet for a word. The channel is one of the most popular SWTOR channels at the moment, which can only give a hint of what the server will be like. :) Welcome.
