  1. As a defender unless you are vastly superior to attackers, you won't be able to kill them fast enough since they can be back right in the mix.

     

    Indeed I've seen this very often, top dmg in Voidstar and didn't get past the first door.

     

    As for killing ballcarrier indeed you have to kill him, but he will die under focus fire (once again we are not talking about insane difference here)

  2. Well you are wrong, on Voidstar and Huttball dps has nothing to do with final result.

     

    In voidstar you can have all your dps killing opponents left and right and let stealther sleep and bomb objectiver. The point of this WZ to disrupt opponents while it does involve some damage you need only token damage to win it as a defender and dps in short bursts as an attacker.

     

    For Huttball passing team > dps team all the time.

     

    Only Alderan more or less requires good dps.

  3. I for one despite liking Empire story a lot more play right now only Republic characters.

     

    But it's hard to argue Empire looks cooler almost for every class:

    Trooper -> Bounty Hunter, yes sir vs I want money for the kill

    Sage -> Sorcerer, well force lightning nuff said.

    Assasin -> Iconic Darth Maul

    Jedi Knight -> Sith Warrior well i do believe SW has one of the best stories and you do feel completely ******. Once again Darth Vader.

    the only class which is not cooler is Agent, but IT IS better then Smuggler.

     

    So it's actually hard to NOT choose Empire and then it becomes network effect.

  4. I've been tanking some HMs as a hybrid veng/rage spec since I was dpsing for our Soa HM kill, and my rage generation is abysmall, I never have rage. The only thing that would change from my spec to hybrid immortal/veng, is making sunder give you 1 extra rage, Now im not sure how much impact that will have, but I'm hoping its a lot.

     

    It is, I was getting the same issue with Rage and after getting +1 rage from SA it helped to resolve most of the issues on par with free smash.

  5. Other cooldowns mitigate damage. Endure pain mitigates it by giving a bigger pool, it then removes that mitigation, but unlike other defensive cooldowns it does direct damage to yourself at the end. that is a poor defensive cooldown as it doesn't actually help your survivability.

     

    Oh and marauders (major amount of damage is dots as annihilation), Most juggernauts (Force crush, choke, impale, shatter, scream), assassin have a few dots as well, most operatives have dots (acid blade, lethality), snipers have dots. A good player always throws a dot or two on a class that has a cooldown that can reduce them to 1 hp and onto stealth classes.

     

    I am speaking from personal experience I never seen marauder dots on me - guess what nobody plays annihilation for pvp I guess. Yes I do get dots sometimes and yes I had the situation when these dots killed me after endure pain finished but it is rare in pvp.

     

    The point of Endure Pain is to give large hp boost for decent amount of time paired with good mitigation it does usually provide enough time to get the job done or at least you may get healers attention or whatever. We already have hp buff in form of force scream post effect in immortal.

  6. You do realize that a dot will kill your right. Most classes have dots they can put on you. getting reduced to 1 hp is a death sentence and has killed me more time than I could count in pvp

     

    Yes dots are dangerous and yes it will kill you, so what you had your time to kill the other guy - you failed. And in fact there are only few classes with dots in PVP obviously sorc, some bh and some op that's it, and they are rarely used since it's alpha strike for pvp not slowly chipping dots.

  7. I for one believe this is a great change(Endure Pain) used it a lot in PVP and PVE as well sometimes. This is in fact insta heal to let you fight for 10-15 secs more, yes it will drop down back to 1 hp, BUT still you wont die and either your enemy is dead or you can use other ability like push or choke or whatever.

     

    Not so sure about resetting charge on push, it's good but actually i rarely had an issue when i was kited and had push available but charge on CD.

     

    EDIT and BTW you can tell almost instantly who is good with his Juggy and who is not, if someone thinks ENdure is bad well it explains why this person might think Juggy is bad.

  8. Why do you ever want to invest 3 talents to get free scream after charge... i honestly don't know unless you are planning to play in Soresu form. You already have more then enough rage using Shien.

     

    And yes I almost never used vicious slash once I got Impale + crit Scream. Seriously man in Shien with 1 rage back you are really getting nothing for 3 point invest.

  9. This is not entirely true.

     

    - Biochem is great from what I hear

    - Cybertech can get top schematics for Mods - that are better than commendation gear - from raids, and are the only ones to provide BIS ship parts. Additionally, artifact critted earpieces are close to BIS

    - Armormech can Craft Rakata belts and armguards

    - Artifice are the only ones to provide magenta and white crystals

    - Armstech can crit orange weapons

    - Don't know much about Synth

     

    Soooo... I'd say: If you don't raid or only PvP, crafting has only few very small niches, making it appear next to useless on maxlevel.

     

    Well Biochem is great all around, nobody will argue with that, that's why many think it's OP and only useful skill around.

     

    As for ship parts - there is no market for art level ship upgrades(since they are overkill for current missions) and lvl 5 can be bought from vendors.

     

    Earpices still not good enough and you know it's hard to get critted art lvl item.

     

    Well haven't seen these top schematcis for mods yet.

     

    Crystals - yes I agree, but actually the thing that irks me is the fact they aren't that much better actually.

     

    As for critted orange lvl weapon/armor it's still worse then say Rakata stuff, If you could remove barrels/armoring/hilts and put it in your orange thing hell yeah, they could be useful. But once again there are set bonus sometimes... So no crited orange item while useful for major part of the game is pointless as soon as good stuff from operations/HMs starts coming.

  10. Crafting is useful up to lvl 50. Then it becomes pointless.

     

    You can self mid - high lvl items for a good money, you can dress your companions but as soon as cap is reached - yep better gear is available quite easily. As for commendation while mods and enhancements are easy to get armoring and barrels/hilts are quite costly.

     

    (I got artifice to 400 and cybertech to 400)

  11. You can take your seperate brackets for premade BS and shove it right up your ***.... just sayin.

     

    I recently had luck to fight same premade 6 times in a row with them stomping that said team without minimal effort, yeah really you need to wait loong time, absolutely the same time as a solo player.

     

    I was paried with another premade many times in a row... I understand it's fun to stomp those who can't do anything for someone but it actually strongly discourages others from participating.

  12. Splitting off premades will just make it so everyone queues solo. Not becasue they don't want to fight other premades but because the queues will just be insanely long.

     

    Which in fact will make for far more balanced play.

  13. We look into the distance and see another group of 4 ppl coming from the same guild and wtfomgholyszzzzstomp us into the ground. And the same can be said about us doing it as well. You guys are going to find out that being 50 and not being 50 is not going to make much of a difference in PVP. In fact, you might end up finding yourselfs losing even more cause the other group could of been shafted with a bunch of low lvl ppl and your team is full of all 50's and 2 lvl 20's.

     

    Don't BS please. I have both 50lvl in some expertise armor and non 50 lvl which I play most now. I can assure you my first character can at least hold against geared in PVP set character another one has no chance. So please don't patronize others - "being 50 and not being 50 is not going to make much of a difference in PVP" my ***.

  14. I couldnt agree more with this...

     

    On my server the republic loses most of the time except in alderaan. We spank the **** out imperials on this map. And no, its not cause they never play this map lol.. its actual PVP!! Amazing when a map actually requires someone to go toe to toe.

     

    Wrong the most gear independent is Void Star, if your team works fine you only need to interrupt enemies. Alderan better gear wins.

  15. premades should be grouped with other premades...

    should not be hard, if you do group queue you get paired with others that did group queue.

     

    unless they don't care about making it pointless for casual players to play their game.

    BTW you learn nothing if you are lvl 10-49 vs prmade in PVP set apart from they are unkillable by your puny character, it gets old pretty fast.
