  1. 1. Quit as soon as you see it. We don't want you on our team. 2. Huttball is a team oriented match. Again, we don't want you on our team. 3. You got picked last for sports growing up because you don't know how to play on a team. Finally, we don't want you on our team.
  2. I'm gonna go out on a limb and offer a bit of support for the current system. In any other sport on the amateur level you don't have much say as to composition. You have to make due with what you have. Sometimes it sucks; sometimes it rocks. As a sorc heals most of the time, I get focused. Deal with it. A good team can overcome it; a bad team can't. Welcome to competition. Some people are bigger and stronger. L2P is the requirement for most people. I wish most people would have experienced PvP at launch.
  3. I usually guard because no one goes to the closest node. I then call out the idiot morons for having a healer guard. Usually someone sheepishly comes over. If they don't, I just use consumption and self heal. If I get dropped, so be it because my team sucks. Also, some idiots just sit on the node in hyper gate so I tell them to just leave because they have no grey matter. If I'm running PT tank then I'm guarding no question. Shoulder cannon is super helpful.
  4. I only PvP on my sorc heals and I find the limited mobility can be rectified with los. Resurgence procs are crucial for the aoe heal (forget the name). Polarity shift helps everything and using the pull is an underused ability outside of huttball. Static barrier will keep you competitive with op healers in wzs and will stretch the survivability of teammates, especially with 2 heals in a group. Force speed, force slow, knock back and positioning are crucial. In so far as fps, I've never had a problem.
  5. Lots of walls of text in here. Basically, bolster is easily bugged and it took months for them to get it to where it is now. This WILL be repeated every time new gear comes out (like in a few months). Whereas before we had a recruit set that gave you base stats and didn't require extensive formulas to sort out. The problem was you OP. You didn't wear this gear like you were supposed to partly because BW did a poor job of telling you to and partly because you didn't bother to find out what gear to wear. Based on some of your comments, it sounds like you still aren't taking advantage of bolster.

This. Recruit gear was fine. Of course it wasn't perfect but if you wore it, you could compete. Much of the time, pve'ers would sell it for the free cash then wear their min/maxed pve gear w/o bolster and get destroyed. Peeps would cuss them out and the pve'er would explain that they sold it like dumb*****e$. If you primarily PvP, you should have an advantage. Do you expect to play in the NBA right out of hs?

  6. Pugs need to learn a few things: focus healers; they're the guys with the little symbol over their heads, otherwise known as being marked. Use focus target and acquire target's target. Please, for the love of the spaghetti monster, have pass the huttball key bound somewhere useful (F4 works great). Know your role, merc DPS should not be jumping in the middle of the pile like roflsmash. Incoming, seriously, you can see 3 peeps inbound, don't say you got stunned, call it early. And stop going mid when both sides are capped, *** are you thinking? Who cares about big numbers when you lose?
  7. You posted this at 6 AM. That's not when it lags. Wait till this weekend when there is 5-6 fleets and you can't even use any of your abilities.

I'm not sure if you know how to read digital clocks but if you look at the screen cap you'll notice that the clock says 10:42 AM. Since I have a full time job, that is the weekend. I made the post at 6 AM but I didn't take the cap at 6 AM. In any event, how does 187k mean I can use my abilities? People are complaining about 30k. SamuelAU knows how to play, you don't know how to play.

  8. Here's a novel idea: release a map editor and let the community do your job for you. I'm sure 1 or 2 of us knows our way around a computer and might have the skills to design a Huttball arena.
  9. I loved spending months min/maxing my EWH only to have to start again because PvEers have memorized their dances and needed more levels. I loved getting steamrolled as I was gearing (since 12/21/2011) only to have a bunch of F2P babies whine and get a bolster.

I loved taking the time to build friendships on Hyperspace Cannon/Drooga's Pleasure Barge/The Harbinger only to have the best PvPers to transfer to The Bastion once paid transfers go live.

Thanks EA/BW for the attention you've given us. I understand a new Huttball map is difficult to create so don't worry. I'll get around to Nightmare S&V once I start EC HM. Don't worry, challenging gameplay-like PvP-is boring. I'll just watch the OP fights on YouTube so I know the moves before I even step into the fight. Thanks for everything. Halo 4 is looking fun again.

Shout out to The Harbinger PvPers that shared expertise and tips, specifically Psi & Creus.

  10. IMO, 1-49 PVP should be for learning how to play the wz and 50 should be for mastering it. There is no excuse for not going for objectives in 50 wz. How is it possible that no one goes to snow on CW or a Sorc pretends to be Barry Sanders in Huttball? The better teams understand the wz and took the time to understand strategy in 1-49. Keep in mind, many schmuck players join so they can get the +113 power WH relic then promptly return to the scripted dance that is PVE.
