  1.

    • Your most skilled classes on pub side
    • Average dps / hps / protection in games (screenshots help a lot here)
    • Previous guilds
    • Ranked experience
    • Time spent PvPing per day and timeslots you are usually online
    • One fact on PvP mechanics you think is little known
    • Net worth (everyone will be expected to pitch in for a guild ship, nothing extravagant, but if we all pitch in a little we can expect to get a decent PvP ship)

Cool, maybe I'll be able to play my pubs again.

    1. I have a slinger, sent, guardian, commando, and sage all at 55 pub side. I'm probably best known for my sniper, but I feel equally comfortable on my guardian and commando.

    2. Well, my best protection was 400k with my PT, but I've only tanked twice. I usually don't heal, but best on my OP is 1 mill. As for DPS my best was 1800-ish only sniper and guardian. Haven't played much at 55 with the sorc class, but I'm positive I could put up good numbers.

    3. Legendary on Corellian Run, and Afghanistanimation meow.

    4. Very little except for solo ranked, One of the reasons I'm filling this out.

    5. Varies. I usually get on before work around 8am est sometimes, and I'm usually on for a few hours after 11pm est.

    6. Haha. Well a little known fact on this server is stims are cheap and you should use them. Also presence. Stack it.

    7. I'm not exactly in the 1%, but I have a lot of 55s. I can get it quickly.

Main reason I'm filling this out is its time to see how good I really am. I solo queue 99% of the time, and it's time for me to see what I can do with an organized group. Don't feel I'm ready for team ranked yet, but I'm never going to be unless I play with people that have more experience than me.

  2. I main a sniper.

I feel we need QoL changes, except for engineering. That needs a bit of an overhaul. But honestly, I feel we are mostly ok. After 2.8 drops? We'll see I guess, but I suspect that will be the patch that pushes us behind.

Little quality of life things I'd like to see changed:

-Remove the lingering toxins(leth) and replace with uncleansable dots, and make the longevity of the dots slightly longer, as they gave this to the other dot specs.

-Fix the damn root from knockback on the roll bug. Its time.

-Do something better with the auto crit ability.

-It might also be time to remove the energy regen on crit ability in the leth tree in favor of a flat boost to regen. Either that, or just flat out give us an ability that prevents our dots from ticking on people with a soft stun active, not just our own.

  3. I don't insult people. Usually.

You have to understand though, there is a breaking point. I'll admit that sometimes the guy who gets the vitriol isn't always the one that deserves it the most, he just happens to be the 100th lucky customer that day.

Part of the problem is a lack of tools on the PVP end to accommodate PVP'ers to organize PVP. From a PVE standpoint, when using the group finder or even spamming chat, the players themselves are, if even only slightly, given a final choice on who is in the group. I mean, how many times have you seen spam requests in gen chat with the text "be geared and know fights." That simply doesn't happen in PVP. The most you can control is half a group for regs, and nothing in solo ranked. This leads to a feeling of helplessness, especially in regs, because you feel like the same people are being pushed on you over and over again. Especially on servers that lack a significant number of people queuing.

Some people will blame premades for ruining the queue, others will blame people that simply don't give a _____, and either intentionally ruin other peoples experience, or just don't care to educate themselves on what to do. The truth is simpler than that, and it's rooted in the simple fact of why people play PVP in the first place.

Hardcore players and casuals alike play PVP for the thrill of unpredictability. Playing against other people and not AI gives a satisfaction to us that we don't get from scripted battles. Don't think I'm knocking PVE either, because I'm not. It just doesn't give PVP'ers the same type of rush that competing against another living individual does.

Regardless if it's eight people frustrated because they fought premades for ten matches in a row, or two premades of four curb stomping those eight, I can assure you everyone is frustrated because the game has become predictable.

    So everyone needs to do themselves a favor;

-first and foremost, stop bickering amongst yourselves and present a united front.

-stop calling for cross server, because it isn't going to happen.

-stop calling to separate the solo and premade queues, because that isn't going to happen either.

-brainstorm together and find a solution.

If I had my way, we would have a matchmaking lobby. Maybe even a kickball style matchmaking lobby that accommodates singles and groups of four.

I know what some of you are going to say. You'll say people will get picked on and some will never get a match. My answer to that is its nothing PVE doesn't allready have, and the world hasn't reversed it poles. Also, if people should be responsible for what they say to an individual, I think it's also time for some to put on their big boy pants and take responsibility for their actions as well.

  4. Warplots are pure awesome. If you haven't seen any vidoes of people playing them. Watch them. As far as other ranked arenas go. The telegraphs are very manageable in arenas because it is small group content. In 10v10 ranked it can get a little hectic if you have no idea what to look out for.

As for the issue you have with amps. That is why rated pvp doesn't start till lvl 50. Lowbie pvp is meant to get a feel for your class and how you can interact with other classes dynamically.

Oh I've watched them. They are awesome, I've no doubt about that and even said as much. But they are an undertaking. The problem with those are maintaining the community to play them. Hopefully they have a lot of fixes in the pipe for a final patch before it drops, because if some of the things I saw go live, there will be a batch of rage quitters leaving after the first month.

Lets be real here. Asking for solo queues probably isn't a viable solution to anything, but on the other hand, the games going to need the casual players money to survive. PVP in that game isn't casual friendly in the slightest. hopefully the PVE will tow the line, but man, I dunno.

I'll be watching the forums over there for the tears of joy or unhappiness. I honestly don't know what its going to be, but I'll garantee it'll be interesting to watch.

  5. In the Jedi starting area on right after you create your character, there is a guy who took a blaster bolt to the knee.

There is a kitty on Alderaan that'll chase your mouse droid. Found a vid of that, I'll post.

More importantly I read somewhere recently that it was asked of the devs if all Easter eggs had been found. They said no and posted a picture of inside the bounty hunter ship. This was ages ago.

More recently it was said that one easter egg was only accessible by one imperial class. It's probably nothing, but I was bored today and was going to try to research and find, as I have nothing else to do.

  6. Just stop already. The queues will never be separated in this game and probably not in any other game. It makes no sense to.

Not every premade is good. Not every good team has a premade. You are playing a multiplayer game. People are going to group up. It's the reason the game has a group feature. Just suck it up and get better. For you to sit here and tell me you always lose because there is always a premade on the other team and your team is always all solo queuers is just dishonest. If there is so many premades then there will be one on your team as well.

I don't want them separated. Have a beer, Beers and stop tunneling. I'm just plain talking stupid mechanics.

  7. Oh, another flaw in that game...

you can switch your action sets on the fly. I was playing Spellslinger and every time we picked up a mask I'd switch to heals. So did half my team. It was impossible for the other team to burn any of us. hopefully that's a bug. because again, that's completely ridiculous. I can see switching in the spawn, but not in the middle of the field.

  8. The only good PVP in that game will be the warplots anyway.

Basing a games mechanics around dodging and skilled movement then making almost every single ability AOE is kinda ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I had fun testing this week, and the PVP is fun in its own way. But that is a serious flaw that will sour people quickly.

But warplots will be awesome, assuming they keep the population to get the matches going.

Another thing they need to fix is the Amp system. Some classes got shafted with that.

  9. I do believe there is a way to adjust the camera in the file. Almost 100% certain I read about it on this site. Honestly, I don't know if it's against the rules or not, but you should search for information here about it.
  10. the nerf really is somewhat justified, no? I played quite a bit of solo ranked lately, and juggs usually end up with similar heal numbers to dps sages, only they sacrifice every 4th cooldown and a lot of damage while the juggs can keep dpsing constantly.

It's only a problem if the class is stacked inside a wz, and the players aren't horrible. And only in regs at that.

If it was me, I'd lower it to 20 seconds and keep the cd the same. Large windows in abilities only cater to bad players. 10 charges in 10 seconds is ridiculous. If you are getting focused fired to that point, it's probably better to not click the ability (again, in regs) because you are probably going to die anyway.

  11. I know it's annoying....

But you really can't think of something better to complain about than dots ticking in the spawn area?

A lot of classes benefit from this bug btw, not just dot specs. Juggs/maras and their mirror classes can use their focus/rage builders, have them off cooldown, AND keep the rage in between the round change.

  12. No they aren't.

When on my sin, if it's a game where one or two commit to the pipe...and are actually a problem... I work my way over and drop a phase walk by their spawn. Then cross the pipe from the direction of their end zone, make sure they don't have entrench up, and blow them off with my knock back. That way I have my phase walk planted for scoring in case it's needed.

If you're a jug, pt tank, or mara work in tandem with a sniper, sorc or merc. Have them blow their soft stun then leap.

Being a sniper myself, I laugh at the ones that camp that pipe. They can do far more damage to a team objectively on the lowest lvl, and IMHO one of the best ball carriers on that map period. Snipers that camp that pipe are not doing their team a favor.

If we had AOE flashbang still, I'd agree on the problem. THAT would be a nightmare. But we don't.

  13. I'm a new player and still just doing War zones.

ED is a must have with the amount of range in the game now. Juggs have a lot of tools but the one thing they have been missing is a way to stay alive while trying to do any type of push.

How many times do you read, your class is not meant to be in the front you need to stay behind your melee classes and position yourself to get your abilities off.

We need classes like PTs Juggs marauders to be viable in WZs or it will just be a straight up camp fest. Anyone who dares to venture forward will be melted and stoned to death.

Hutball 1 range stays on the elevated platforms

Hutball 2 range stays on the elevated platforms and pipe

Void star range stays behind the pillars and melts anyone going for the door. Pillar jumping

Hyper gate range stays at the far side an runs back when focused

Point is this last patch really put some nice changes in for range classes and the amount of them has exploded in warzones. We still need viable " Non Stealth" classes or it will be just a bunch of guys standing around doing nothing but trying to score high dps.

To me Operatives, mercs and maraduers need something to stay alive a bit longer, for the most part the rest of the pack is pretty well balanced.

Like I said I'm new so my post might well be crap and I need to L2p but this is just my opinion.

You need to stage an intervention and get the snipers off the pipe. They make awesome ball carriers in the new huttball, as long as they know how and when to use their CDs properly.

  14. The real elephant in the room is the change to white damage in conjunction with ED.

That said, it's not OP. It'll take some time for a few of you to adjust to the playstyle. They aren't smash taters.

Besides as a sniper I've been wearing a ****eating grin since 2.7 dropped. You were all SO worried about the evasion buff that you didn't really look into the other changes. ;)

    Karma sucks.
