  1. The kinetic tech was dread guard relics, for arkanian you want energy tech as kinetic tech does not exist. In the future you want whichever one is tech and benefits from armor piercing so that will be energy or kinetic.

     

    *edit: I guess I can't say for sure the kinetic/energy will always be better than the internal/elemental. Doesn't matter, the answer to your question for arkanian and underworld is energy tech.

  3. I personally just can't get behind the proc damage relics (CN and their ilk). I know on parser they average out to better DPS but honestly given our relatively low hits per GCD (remember mercs get all those off hand hits to get an extra proc) and the fact that a minimal DPS increase over the whole fight is much less important than a large DPS improvement for 30 seconds when you need it (thinking of every soft enrage phase in the game), I'd much rather use a clicky power relic over a CN any day.

     

    While I'm sure it's not going to make a huge difference either way. I plan on keeping the damage proc as the constant and swapping the power proc with the power click on fights where there is a burn phase.

     

    I need to do some more testing on it but I have seen a bit of evidence to show that the damage proc is helping to proc the power relic as well making them synergize a bit.

  4. Based on no math at all I feel like a single slot of alacrity is going to be worth it. In your AMR example, changing all the alacrity enhancements back to surge and leaving just the earpiece gives you more than 1% alacrity by itself.
  5. ...Missed that, probably because it doesn't make sense to restrict escrow deduction by being at credits cap. As if, "you can't remove credits from ecrow untill you hit cap" is just stupid. If anything, my guess here would be that it's unfortunate wording, and it's more like "If you are (...) player that managed to reach unimaginable amount of money and hit credits cap, and thus have some money in escrow you can transfer credits from your Escrow (overflow) account to your game account"

     

    That was why I brought it up, it seems wierd that it's worded like "once your at cap you can take money out of escrow." It's not for subscribers, they specifically address F2P and Pref players. The subscribers credit cap is astronomical and there would be no reason to put it as a feature.

  6. Does anyone have any tips on the fastest way to get reputation with the people of makeb? I ran through some of the dailies yesterday and each one gave me a green trophy. Has anyone seen purple or blues? Maybe a heroic or a weekly or something?
  7. I don't understand the fuss about accuracy. Accuracy's curve is really bad and yellow damage doesn't need accuracy, so what ? You're spending 434 points for 6% accuracy, used by 50% of your DPS, while you could spend those 400 points in crit ( from 600 to 1034 : +5.12%), surge (if your surge rating is low) and flat power.

     

    And, please, STOP TALKING ABOUT A "CAP" AT 100% ACCURACY. BOSSES HAVE DEFENSE, AROUND 8%, SO IF YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS, YOU NEED 108% AND NOT 100%.

     

    Don't try to reach 100% accuracy. I need to do some theorycrafting to find the exact numbers, but at first sight accuracy is totally crap and the "cap" is probably REALLY low, and I wouldn't be surprised if the answer is a big fat 0 in this index.

     

    You might start by learning about the stat blocks and how you can only trade accuracy for sure or alacrity. 100% accuracy is actually 110% for all ranged special attack (e.g. anything that's not hammer shot). Feel free to review some parses on that stuff.

  8. Personally, I very much doubt the damage proc relic will outperform any of the power relics, so I'd go power proc and power clicky.

     

    It may vary by class. For gunnery commandos at least it outperformed PVE and PVP power relics at the DG level. I wouldn't count it out. 352ish damage every 7.5 seconds or so is substantial.

  9. There's not enough of a stat budget for that in my opinion. You're already using 6 enhancements or 4 enancements and 2 of your earpiece/implants to get near to 100% accuracy, which you definitely want. The rest should be going into surge. Especially with 15% crit rate added on onto our main filler ability.

     

    You may be right, surge is just a slow curve to begin with. I suppose it depends on how much surge the last surge enhancement is worth after optimizing the rest of your gear. One enhancement for 1% alacrity just seem like a bargain to me. More of a hunch at this point.

  10. From what I have seen the power proc gives you more average power per second than the click, the power click gives you the power when you need it though. I plan on using damage proc + power proc for normal circumstances and swaping teh power proc with power click for bosses where that it advantageous.
  11. ...The new power proc relics are amazing and you should definitely be using them, even the PVP ones. Actually, since those relics dont have the "does not stack with similar effects" thing, there is an argument to be made that two PVP Serendipitous Assault relics (one Partisan, one Conqueror's) is actually BiS for PVE...

     

    I don't have the power proc relic to do any testing, but my instinct is that the damage proc relic will put out more dps than the power proc so I don't think you will want to use two really. I'm think the BiS is going to be energy proc + power proc, and people are going to want to keep the power click in their inventory for bosses where the directed power is more benefitial.

  12. ...Remember, adding alacrity into your stat budget will be at the expense of accuracy, power, crit and/or surge. I really hope that alacrity and crit can be more useful, as a power-only build is pretty boring (and there is a TON of alacrity gear at the vendor)...
