  1. Hello

I am looking for guild, no hardcore, but pvp-fun oriented.

I am Jedai Shadow lvl 21 my nick name Umiarkowanie. I play during weekend.

Hi m8! I'm with baron deathsquad and we pretty much fulfill what you are looking for !! We are a casual, international pvp guild with an emphasis on WZ !! We have our own TS channel for REP & IMP side. My ingame name is "hellas"! Feel free to add me to your friend list and to contact me ingame :)

  2. hello,

i just came back to the game after two years of radio silence! I got a Sage LvL 50 and currently level a shadow for open world pvp! I'm planning to use the shadow to protect lowbies from high level gankers on their quests and datacron hunt! Maybe I even gonna start a bodyguard agency for ingame credits, who knows :D

    My questions are:

    1. Which class are people on REP side miss the most in WZ?

    2. Which class suits best the WZ criteria on REP side?

  3. hello,

I've been wondering what Expertise of the Kinetic Combat tree exactly does with Shadow Technique of the Infiltration tree?

    Expertise [Kinetic Combat]

Increases the damage dealt by your techniques by 6%.

    Shadow Technique [infiltration]

    Instant

Assumes a shadow technique, giving your attacks a 25% chance to deal 647 internal damage and build 1 Breaching Shadow. Breaching Shadows stack up to 3 times and increase the damage dealt by your next Force Breach. This effect cannot occur more than once every 4.5 seconds. Requires a double-bladed lightsaber or electrostaff. Does not break Stealth.

    Question:

Shadow Technique grants a 25% chance of 647 internal damage and adding here the 6% from Expertise is easy to imagine but what about the rest stated in the Shadow Technique description?

Will make Expertise the Force Breach (Read Shadow Technique description) ability 6% stronger as well ?

  4. I haven't played swtor for about 2 years so pls forgive my ignorance :)

    About looks of pvp gear:

I find that the actual available designs which you find at your pvp gear vendor are fairly limited. My question is if it was possible to use [CUSTOM] armor and simply use the item modifications from the pvp gear vendor without a disadvantage ?

    About item modifications:

So i found pvp vendors which sell pvp mods & pvp enhancements but nobody apparently sells pvp hilts? I wonder why that is?

  5. I'm not an MMO expert which means I'm not that used to MMO lingu & customs so please keep that in mind before you call my questions stupid or whatever :) :

    Clairvoyant Strike

"Strikes the target twice, dealing 1316 - 1402 weapon damage with each hit. Each use of this ability builds Clairvoyance, which gives Project a 50% chance to automatically trigger your Shadow Technique off of its normal rate limit. Stacks up to 2 times. Requires a double-bladed lightsaber or electrostaff."

Does that basically mean that Project has a 50 % chance to cause more (or more often?) Breaching Shadows?

    Mind Snap

"Interrupts the target's current action and prevents that ability from being used for 4 seconds."

Does that really work with every ability or only with those which require channeling?

  6. "Masked assault" of the infiltration tree states that it would add 25% dmg reduction for 6 seconds when not cloaked to the ability "Blackout" but when I open character pane to check that effect after I activated Blackout without stealth nothing seems to change!

I did the same with the ability "Deflection" which shows up in the character pane under defense when activated!

I wanna know if it is beneficial to use both at the same time?

  7. There is a huge difference in PVE and PVP.

For PVP you dont have a sustained rotation. You have a burst rotation. If you even want to call it that. PVP is simple. Give new maps. Give new incentives and people are happy. Giving people 4v4, 2v2,8v8,16v16 is new content. Give them new maps, its new content. Give them new gear for a new incentive. Give them new dailies/weeklies for PVP related things. Its new content. PVPers are easier to keep happy than PVE'rs are. PVE'rs you have to bring out new story lines for new planets, new raids, new raid difficulties, new flashpoints, new Tacticle FPS (Please fix the memory leaks first).

    I'm saying that for years!!

PvE is simply way to popular even tho it's probably more expensive to develop than PvP content :)

  8. Hello.

I'm considering getting back to SWTOR with friends and was wondering the current state of PvP on this server (I have toons on RE and ToFN and choosing between those two).

    Can you please tell me:

    1. Which side have more bad PUGs in non ranked?
    2. Which side have more bad PUGs in ranked?
    3. Usual queue time for non ranked warzones?
    4. Usual queue time for non ranked arenas?
    5. Usual queue time for ranked arenas?

I just came back to SWTOR and kinda have the same questions like you.

Here some links which might help you out further, just in case nobody will response:

    From my personal experience:

I can say that open world PvP is quite alive! Try to get as rep puppy your datacrons on Nar Shaadaa or Tatooine and you will almost always get ganked by Sith cloakers all freaking day! I also managed to get some more even fights which was fun! Sadly, I waited as LvL30 yesterday evening (saturday) about 10 mins in WZ queue unsuccessfully.

I was looking for a PvP specific guild but only found one which speaks italian only. I'm considering starting my own one to protect the pups from gankers, help with datacrons etc...

Hope i could help at least slightly :)

  9. Well, all the supposedly *good* players buggered off to Wildcrap, so yeah...

Though, welcome back if you decide to transfer!

Regarding guilds - I don't know. I only mess around in yoloqueue and GSF.

    :rak_03:

    1. What's "Wildcrap" ?

    2. I'm also interested in an international pvp guild but on republic side!

    3. Is the US PvP server ping (Prophecy of the Five, East) acceptable from western europe?

    4. Is it possible to transfer my account from Tomb of Freedon Nadd to Prophecy of the Five and how much would that cost?

I haven't played for about 2 years pls excuse my ignorance ^^

  10. I don't understand you guys. If they fix game engine so we could actually play like people and not see slideshows on Ilum - it's great place to hang out and waste some enemies.

I see only 1 problem in Ilum. It's unplayable when 2 groups start fighting. So is useless to do something there. When I was playing my BH only thing I did on Ilum was to gather some crates at center for couple of minutes and go back to my ship so I can queue for WZ. Nothing more.

Just because grinding on Republic was a slideshow. Standing outside their base waiting for them to exit with around 14 fsp is no fun at all.

So if they fix engine, fix graphics (for estetics), fix valor gain and few other details we could actually just fight over Ilum on servers where there is no ongoing masacre near their base.

And I would go to Ilum just for that.

    pretty much..yeah!

If at least the basics were working, it wouldnt be so bad at all but atm no way I pay more ucking money for getting a headache watching a powerpoint presentation...

I want bw to fix fps and some simple mechanics like whats standard in the battlefield series where you take over spawn points or something! Like when you own them all rewards for faction and map reset...

    Edit:

Better then standing in front of rep base waiting ;)

  11. Let me preface this by insisting that I'm not a troll and that I do want SWTOR to succeed. Unfortunately I've spent the last few weeks feeling more and more frustrated by Bioware's idea of open world pvp, Ilum.

On my server, it isn't uncommon to see Republic and Imperial circling side by side around central, collecting armaments together. When I jump on one of these enemies I'm often chastised by my realm mates that they are just going to start 'zerging' and we'll lose our chance to gather armaments.

When that isn't going on, it's just a matter of ever increasing group sizes battling until the dominant faction has so many people at central that the other faction can't muster enough to challenge them.

It's really not a very fleshed out or interesting world pvp system.

I do enjoy the warzones to an extent, but they get old after many dozens of repeats.

    Now to my topic:

I've recently seen the beta footage of an upcoming competitor's WvWvW PVP system. This video made me think of the good old days in DAOC and I was very pleased to see how crisp the graphics were with MANY people on the screen. The objectives look interesting and fun, and make circling for armaments on Ilum seem like a really bad joke.

Can Bioware do enough to improve their open world pvp before competition takes away the players who are interested in PVP?

Yeah, ilum is either picking up armaments or boring standing in front of rep base while low fps driving you mad... Personally, I've gone back to pirates of the burning sea to wait until planetside2 is released...

What I find funny is that most of the pvp ppl which go to ilum for dailies dont realize that there wont be anything after it...

  12. Fix your engine! Still have like 20 days playtime but I've already gone back to my old games coz pvp like Ilum especially is efing impossible to play, seriously!

If it wasnt that hard for me to participate in battles on ilum which go beyond WZ sizes there wouldnt be much of a problem but atm YOU really have to work on this first instead of celebrating yourself!

Yes, pve content is fun but not my cup of tea! So if you wanna get your pvp people back FiX fps issues and implement some mechanics for a consistent pvp world which gives the average pvp player some meaning so that it goes beyond winning a single wz or killing some ppl on ilum for nothing...

And dont gimme all that crap!

There's enough on the internets to prove you've failed big time in some aspects of the game, BW!

I've seen vids of you guys telling the audience how great ilum is going to become and how epic its going to be when hundreds of players fighting each other!

So then finally after release it turns out its not even possible to do so coz the fps are soooo low that I feel ill after an hour playing on ilum because of this sick slideshow!

I really wonder, have you fing tested it at all? I seriously wanna know how big companies these days can throw products on the market with major parts of their product arent even working?

As long as you do not do nothing more than giving us ridiculous guides with info which every 10 year old knows no swtor for me sorry....

  13. I recently became BM and yea now you cannot farm those wz commendations anymore like it was as champion to get your bags.... Kinda boring now.. Okay, since this daily bug you have to try wz more often to get your daily done which keeps you longer playing but thats really no motivation though...
  14. Wholeheartedly support. I was very disappointed when I learned that you never really have surprise PvP. I rarely ever see people just walking around or get attacked during a quest. Also planned and instanced, kind of sad.

Nowadays I do not even get attacked when meeting some of the opposing faction...

Well, guess that's what happens when dev do not know or care bout pvp though....

  15. Well, ganking means to me to attack a single player, what I dont do, because I find that theres no skill involved hunting a single player down but nevertheless I appreciate the importance which the op has mentioned to make pvp servers more pvpish than the pve ones...

As a pvp player I like realism in general, I want to attack even towns which are with the other faction and I want a reward for it!

I think it is also important for pvp players to have some meaning for playing pvp at all...

I really really would like some count- mechanics for simply everything you do while pvp to become informed by constantly updated stats about how the war is going for my faction! So when my faction reaches a certain amount of points or completes certain missions I want also to get rewarded... Missions like "Take over anchorhead on tatoonie and hold it for 1 hour" as sith player for example...

If you give me some meaning to fight for I gonna play for years! Otherwise for months until it gets boring... ;)

    BTW

A game which does what I've mentioned is pirates of the burning sea for example
