  1. so my framerate is absolutely horrible in pvp matches. i normally run the game on high settings at 60 fps constantly, but whenever i enter a war zone it drops to about 15 fps. i tried switching my graphics setting to very low and it was still at 15 fps. does this problem happen with anyone, and does anyone know a fix. it should also be worth mentioning that i have a beefy gaming laptop that is only about a year old so it shouldn't be my hardware

Yeah ive been having this problem since the launch of 2.0 and there answer is "i dunno". it would be to much work to fix this engine so we aint going to bother. And ive sent them system diagnostics in abundance. and my system much like yours is no sluch.

It has got even worse since 3.0 though so i have no idea what they're doing..........

  2. they didn't need to remove the knock-down they just had to change it so recovery wasn't so long after the stun, you can just ignore operatives now they ll die very quickly without the control its kinda laughable actually another win for the brain dead designers of this train wreck of a game lately.
  3. So i didn't have the bar set very high for 2.7, yet they seemed to even stumble over that barrier. I don't grind for ranked gear cause its all rubbish cost Vs gain and all that. my complaint really is levelled at the aesthetic side of the content i mean seriously what drugs where your art department on when you came up with the obroan gear, it has not a single influence of star wars and looks down right ridiculous, removing the only good looking pvp set (conqueror) for this trash is a real crime .

Tell your modellers and concept artist to actually get off there back sides go grab a coffee and watch the movies or read the books again and tell me when Darth vader or Yoda appears with wings on there backs looking like they just came out a sex dungeon of some kind.

From a person who is very familiar with asset creation and the art pipeline it astounds me that it apparently takes you this long to introduce a new set of gear that has no apparent changes, when all you've done is simply opened up Photoshop and changed the the colour layers which takes all of 5 mins for a half competent artist.

I've been drawing, modelling star wars characters, outfits since i was a kid there's so much you can do then what your currently producing, what i wouldn't give to have an opportunity to work in the star wars universe, don't squander your time making mynute changes to stats and changing it from blue to purple and proclaiming a new gear set., thats guaranteed to get the ire of the community.

Rather spend some actual time generating some good ideas for a new armour set that looks like it fits in with the rest of the world, 70% of the drive to get new gear comes from it looking cool and wanting your charchter to wear it youve proved that with the cartel market ten times over, as you've probably noticed most the community isn't bothered or dosent want a new set added anyway so you've got the time to work on it properly

As much as this sounds like a rant, it comes more from a place of exasperation then anything else i want to love you but you keep shooting yourself in the foot, and thats just dum ,I stick around cause i love star wars, the time period you've got your game in and the game itself is pretty fun to play as well so stop trying to make me angry at you

  4. Hey, your first set of headgear is a available from a side quest on dromund kaas, However if you have missed that quest you can always buy a head piece from a commendations vendor in Sobrik ( the starting town you are in on balmorra). For the respirator you are probably best looking on the GTN (market place for all items) and see if there is an orange adaptable one that you can interchange mods into so that you can keep the looks of that piece without it becoming horribly low level gear later on. it can drop in some flashpoints aswell as far as i belive :) Hope this helps!
  5. Classes having a hard stun is fine, the problem in this game is the CC in this game is spammable without consequences.

    1. I think all Hard stuns should have a cast time and a energy pool / force pool ect requirement of about 75%.

    2. all hard stuns should fill the resolve bar making them a more precious commodity forcing players to be more precise with regards to how their used.

    3. roots and snares should give some / a little more resolve than what they do now, all slows as it is is spammable. on my VG tank I can almost comstantly keep players slowed if I time it right. what is the fun of being basically made to walk during the duration of the fight / match?

    4. patch 1.4 ruined resolve and it was all about one thing, HB. what was the point of tinkering with it when

    A. a sorc/ sage and just run through a fire trap almost unscatherd? or a Op/Scoundrel rolling through almost unscathed? or a tank running through with defencive bubles up? or a leaper just leaping through it unscathed?

All 1.4 did was make CC worse for no reason at all when all of these classes can do what they do, CC,s do nothing if their cc breaker is up.

I agree with all of this, would definitely change the game play so much for the better!!!

  6. So Ive been thinking and i definitely would like the new expansion to be called Resolved and all it is, is a completely re done resolve system something that's actually works even if that has to be our only PvP update for another year or 2. just strip down cc's so that there more costly and not so frequently available. People just throw them out like candy with no thought to it if they could only use them every 2 mins or for a very high resource cost then wouldn't that change the game play considerably?? every class would still work very well without having stuns at the ready every 30 seconds.

I think this is a much greater feature to tackle and sort out than adding four more arenas no one wants to play!!, and by god would it please the player base, hope your listening Bioware!!!

  7. So i've been working on this model in my spare time of Vette, and have got most of the hard out the way, but wanted to see if you guys have any ideas for any changes or improvements to it whether its some more armour etc.

Its a relatively low tri count at only 15,000, so i haven't gone crazy with detail, but i do plan on doing some sculpting with it to put in those finer details. but anyway ill stop rambling now!! :) hope you guys like it !

P.s remember its only a work in progress at the moment :D

  8. But have they took note or said anything about the TTK or balance issues yet?

that's more of an issue than the rewards thing personally, i don't care about rewards ill get for playing a mode that's all out of whack, because i wont be playing the pvp :p

  9. Someone from Bioware, at the very least out of respect for their paying customers, answer this question. If PVP is working as intended, or are their changes in the pipeline, to make PVP fun once more for the majority.

We want to know so we can make an informed decision as to how we spend our leisure time and do we wish to continue funding a game we no longer enjoy.

I have zero interest in the PVE endgame aspects of the game, I am playing for PVP fun and frolics, yes I like to roll lots of alts and enjoy their levelling on some of the planets, but in the main I am here to PVP, hence I would like to know if SWTOR will continue to provide for my style of gameplay or not. I will not be forced to do PVE, aka something I don't enjoy, in order to fund my PVP habit.

This is not a threat to cancel my subscription by the way, merely a statement of intent. Anyone who pays to do something they do not enjoy is a fool and I for one, will not allow a software company to continue to make a fool out of me.

Totally agree with you! i think you have hit the nail on the head with everything you have said there still doubt we'll get a response.

  10. I do hope Bioware takes note of this, at the moment they have made a right pigs ear of the pvp compared to what it used to be overall. yeah im glad for some of the classes balances but not at the expense of the entire PvP.

the operatives are giving me flashbacks to Rifts rogues that would just stun and stun by the time you got free you had such a health deficit that you had no chance in defeating them. Its just no fun, and quite disappointing really.

The war zone med-packs seem pointless now as well since you take so much damage so quickly its hardly worth it to live that extra few seconds, and since for some reason they took out the vendors in the war zones which im not sure why they have you have to hibernate on the fleet between warzones when that's not always what you want to do when your questing.

Either way i hope Bioware sorts this out because as it is now its just not fun for me, and i was loving the pvp before :(
