  1. So I logged in today, and my assassin who was wearing the helmet with the battlemind's model and while the hood worked with it yesterday, it no longer does anymore. The only other mask I can really use the is revan one, which I don't particularly fancy using.
  2. Server balance concerns or not, in factioned games, perfect balance is grasping for straws. The fact is, people who put months of work into characters end up on derpy servers that aren't where their friends are. Friends are what make MMOs.

And believe it or not, there are people that prefer smaller servers. Not everyone is going to flock to Populated-Server-1 because it's full. Not to mention any good auctioneer will know how to survive in a dead market. Trust me, I've been there. (Also, they could easily fix in in a manner CoX did by making AHs universal across all servers since we have a list of about the same size.) All it takes is patience. Doesn't mean it won't happen. So that's a moot point with me.

I've leveled all classes to 50 and played them enough. I cannot say it thrills me that I'm doing it again because I don't want to be on The Bastion when most of my friends are elsewhere. Not opening up transfers won't fix population issues either. Either people will cave and just start anew on a new server where their friends are or they will leave. It's plain as that.

The vehement defense of no transfers sounds like it's coming from someone who plays MMOs solo a lot. I'm sorry.

  3. Its not under geared its under experienced. I've seen under geared people still out dps someone in full col gear. You can have people in the best gear and still stink. You can have someone who knows their roll and can bust through a HM.

To say someone who is under geared is immediately a load, is a generalization.

When we say undergeared, we aren't saying oranges or even tionese/recruit (except for Tanking Capable classes who queue as tank when they are DPS). It's people who hop in there with greens, no relics, empty moddable gear. These things happen. No good player enters an HM with three 'semi-modded' pieces. I'm sorry.

  4. Plus how would you figure out iLVL when the majority of the gear is modable? Makes the game even more dumbed down because you can just look at their gear and tell them to bugger off if the gear doesnt meet your high standards.

Gear already has an ilevel. And when you switch mods in and out, it changes with them. I.E. 140, 124, 136.

  5. Havent ran into issues yet with it, i started queing in full battlemaster.

Issue now is repetitiveness & not enough content to be amused, starting to feel like 4.3 Dragonsoul all over again sadly.

I will grab recruit gear & que for HM level 1's as soon as i hit 50, i feel i have enough skill to make up for my gear.

You've obviously never healed a Pyro PT in DPS recurit gear queued as a tank in a T2 HM.

  6. Nobody is trying to prevent anyone from trying new content. You just seem tot hink there should be no effort needed at all to progress in cotnent. You think its fine for someone to just skip content and the people who didnt skip it should be fine with picking up the slack.

You have been ranting on this board about people being "lazy" for months and months, yet you think it is just fine for someone to ding 50, que up for a hm fp in their green gear and expect a group of strangers to work twice as hard or even worse fail over and over wracking up a repair bill.

Not only that, he gives the distinct impression it's everyone else's fault if this fresh 50 doesn't gear up. I have 4 50s. Every time I hit 50 o a new toon, the first thing I do is use all my comms to get mods from vendors and stick them in my gear and queue up for normals since the gear they drop is still decent. I have the humility and the respect for other players to not rush straight into HMs, let alone T2 HMs and the operations. Why should I rest my success betting on other people's efforts to get me there?

  7. You are reading my point backwards. It's the other people complaining that they have to carry others and want them removed from being able to try.

But carrying is only possible to a point. How can you agree to tanks in recruit DPS gear queuing for Operations and HM FPs? I don't care how good they are, gear does matter.

  8. Wrong, I'm saying the tool wasn't designed just for you. You want fast easy mode fast runs for your precious, don't pug with the LFG. HM's shouldn't have even been added to the LFG tool

Next time I have a tank with 11k health try and tank HM LI for me, I'll let him know he's having fun and I don't mind. And yes, that actually has happened. I don't know how he had any fun, though. Y'know, due to the fact he couldn't stay alive with full campaign IA Healer and our DPS sorc both trying to keep him alive. That's an odd idea of fun.

Also, I like how people get upset at the prospective of having a tool that matched people's gear level. What's wrong with an all fresh 50 group? You can all learn together and benefit each other. You're only happy when you are being carried? It seems like a very strange standpoint. I love helping people through content, but there's a point if you're tanking with under 14k health or dint bother to mod your gear at 50.

  9. One thing I'm not really clear on is when I should stop worrying about crit and start worrying about another stat. I've never really seen any definitive answers, and it's not like I'm having problems healing, but I feel like I could optimize my stats better.

My current stats, self buffed, are:

    2159 Cunning

    289 Power (558 Bonus Healing)

    349 Crit (38.57%)

    351 Surge (76.55%)

(Hurr forgot to buff before copying down stats. Fixed)

  10. No, please do not bring them back.

I'm tired of dealing with those ugly monstrosities and the people who think they are cool for having them. They are like the Hummer's of the SWTOR world. I'd be okay with them if they were banned from the Fleet and any spaceports. Of course, that would just make the owner's whine about how they spent three months saving up for their Korrealis Canyonero and now they can't use it to blot out a quarter of my screen with their compensation device.

Make new speeders that are actually cool.

Pretty much this. Big mounts can stay out of game for all I care. It's to a pont I go to the empty instances of the Fleet so I don't have to deal with trying to find vendors, banks, or GTNs under the 'OMG LOOK AT MY COOL CAR' mounts.

    Also, WTB Ugnaught mounts.

  11. I don't mind if people are new, bad, or undergeared. It honestly doesn't bother me as a healer, I can usually carry people at this point in the game if they are inexperienced. However, speaking on behalf of a few healers, it's not inexperience that's the issue-- it's people who don't speak up when they've never done something. I don't know why it's so humiliating for some people to just say, "Hey, I've never been here, so just let me know what to do." Then, you get descriptions at a boss and all goes well.

But people have all this pride they need to preserve and more often than not, it turns a 30 minute instance into a 60 minute one. For example, I was running a Dungeon Finder D7 HM and the tank had never been there. He spoke up. We explained the fights before each boss and there was not one wipe on any of them. On the flipside, I did a HM FE and two of the people in the group never did it. They tried to hit the tank with HK's missiles, didn't interrupt Malgus, and one even died when Malgus was soloing him. All of that would not have happened if they just spoke up.

I refuse to pug KP or EV SM. I just queue with guildies and use the tool for BH comms.

Now, another issue is people queuing for roles they actually aren't. If you have 12k health and are in ****** DPS gear, don't queue as tank. It's to a point that I don't even try to waste my time with people like this. If I see someone in the wrong role, recruit gear, or level 48 blues and greens, I'm leaving. You only waste everyone else's time by not doing dailies and gearing through SM versions of FPs.

  12. Soooo... if someone in my group dies to something, I have to keep guessing how? Because people are too scared to possibly be held responsible for doing something wrong? How do I know if my teammate died to an ability or just the loldropdead bug?

People need to get over themselves. Play with friends and this fear of people judging you won't matter. I don't PuG. I never will, so I never will have to worry about parser spam. And if it happened, I just would put on my 'dont give a ****' face.

If you're too lazy to be social and game with people who are of like minds, then stop trying to limit people who want these tools for their core group and legitimate purposes.

  13. Actually champion gear is the best gear you can get outside of columni, which happens to be much more difficult to get. (Before nightmare mode)

Edit - to those of you railing against pvp gear you do realize that the only difference between pvp gear and the equivalent pve gear is the pve gear has more of your main stat plus endurance, right? I would never wear a piece of tionese over champion... ever. And I have tanked hard fps as well as all normal ops.

I got my 4-set columi bonus in a week from just hard modes. The final bosses drop tokens.
