  1. Level 55 Operative, in like 162 gear and I can solo the heroic bosses with a crappy geared healing comp. The first important thing to do is pick a easy heroic mob to kill. The ones near the stairs to the entrance of the operation (the force user mobs) are the easiest to kill. Make sure to interrupt their hardest hitting abilities, and stun the off cool down. If you can off heal yourself while they are stunned. Combined with using the legacy 50% damage reduction skill or heroic if your in a pinch and it can still be done.

That being said I did notice I'm dieing more often then before.

  2. The vast amount of butt hurt people whining about the cross guard light saber in my guild, the forums, and other places has really shocked me. (Guess people really hate change) So when I found this video on youtube by a swordsman who looks at the practicality and functionality of a actually cross blade light saber sword I felt it was necessary to share it.

There is also a video on the practicality of a double bladed light saber (sword rather but same thing)

    Double Bladed Sword (Lightsaber) video

TLDR: Cross Guard light saber isn't that bad, in fact it might be useful.

TLDR: Double Bladed light sabers are fairly useless and a regular light saber or pole arm is better.

  3. I'm guessing that is the problem. It is pure eye candy. That's it. Just eye candy. They wanted to make something that'd make the kiddies go "WOAAAH!! WICKED!" The functionality of it would be beyond terrible and it wouldn't be logical to use over the traditional saber or the double bladed.

And shooting lighting from your fingers without shocking yourself is logical? using a double bladed lightsaber is logical? It's just as bad or worse.

The point is this is a game and anything is possible. Let people have their "eye candy'

  4. Can we get a Scorpio customization in a pack or something? This is like the only companion that launched with no extra customizations available to vanilla game. Scorpio has ZERO, some companions get like 8. I know that you guys would never add one for free, so at least when you make a companion customization put it in a pack or something.
  5. Just gonna copy relevant part of a larger post I made in 'fleet redesign' suggestion topic:

MUCH MORE FLEET ANNOUNCEMENTS. During the raghkoul event I was shocked to hear announcements coming from the speakers. For the first time ever the fleet felt like a real breathing hub, instead of a giant mission box. Add many more fleet announcements. Context-senstivie would be the best (script conditionals would check at what "stage" of a class story/galactic conflict players are and load appropirate sound files with announcemenets for them). Of course some global announcemenets (like for the raghkoul plague) would play for all players regardless. Nothing makes the worlds feel more alive than the sounds. Just like you do it in Mass Effect Citadel hub for example.

Exactly that's exactly what I meant when I made this topic, it makes it feel so much more alive when you have announcements. It really does wonders for the ambiance.

  6. Well anyone who has been to the fleet since the Rakghoul event started has noticed that at random times a announcer will say some line about how you should kill rakghouls or get yourself incinerated. But I think that the announcer is really cool and adds a nice feel too the fleet, almost more military like or realistic? Instead of just the quiet all the time with random player noises.

So as a suggestion (probably would never happen, just throwing it out there) I think we should keep the imperial announcer permanently just change her lines to fit with the game for when the rakghoul even ends etc, and change it when new events are running or no events are running.

Either way just a cool idea from my perspective, and thought I would share.

  7. Same.

Ditto I didn't even finish my months sub, I don't even know why I lost interest. The game was interesting enough it just was lacking something. I don't know the word for it... I may go back again someday though; housing was pretty good in that game.

  8. My first priority in Cybertech, Scavaging, Underworld Trading.

I find it helps to be able to make mods and armor inserts for my armor. I usually have 1 Alt that has this to make for every other toon i have. On all others I just go with Slicing instead of Cybertech.

Could I take what you have but not underworld trading? I kinda wanna keep slicing.

  9. I've been playing this game for a while, but I never touched or looked at crew skills in the 2 years i've been playing. Heck, I still don't even know what they all do without having to google it. But lately my guildies have been bugging me saying I should level up a crew skill for when strongholds launches to help make decorations etc. So i'm finally bringing myself to do that. Now I know that each crew skill will make different decorations and I'm alright with whatever, but what I'm curious about is what is the more profitable crew skills as of currently to make and sell stuff on the gtn on the side.

I currently have armormech, scavenging, and slicing (picked them up when I first made my character several years ago still all level 1 [lol] ) But before I dedicate myself, I wanted your esteemed opinions on the best money maker. Of course balancing cost/time/and overall profit.

I apologize if you see this kind of thread regularly but I wanted a updated opinion based on current markets. Thank you in advance.

  10. I've finally built up the required 5k Fleet Req. and am looking to buy another ship and I can't decide between the Quell or Sting. Suffice it to say, I suck equally in the strike fighter and scout ships (I perform the best in the gunship) but I am hoping to find a ship that maybe I can be better in. Something fast with a big gun and not so flimsy is preffered.:D

    Any positive advice is appreciated.

Well before you decide you should know the differences between the two ships.

First the Quell is a different version of the original strike fighter. The original strike fighter has two primary lasers and one secondary missile and focuses more on lasers. The Quell is the exact opposite it has only one primary laser system and 2 secondary weapons. So more missile. The strike fighter feels too me more like a ship that is ment to fly around shoot lasers and the occasional missile. The Quell is more shield heavy and can just sit back take a beating and fire missiles (since you have 2 different ones) I have so much shields on my Quell I can be focus fired by 3 other ships and still come out laughing thanks to my never ending shields.

    On to the scouts

The main difference between the sting and the original scout is that the sting is built more for dogfights imo. The abilities of the original scout seem to favor flying fast and knocking out turrets/caping satellites. Meanwhile the sting is fast maneuverable and can use concussion missile which the original scout can't. I love my sting it's the funnest ship I could ever play. If you stack this ship with rapid fire lasers, focus on evasion, and get concussion missiles you will be fast moving, high evasion, and do pretty damn decent damage.

    Therefore,

Pick the Quell if you want multiple missile, be able to take a beating, but not move around alot

Pick the Sting if you want to be fast, hit hard, but not be able to take a beating instead you rely on evasion and your speed. (Favors dogfights more)

  11. Hey Rileysoph,

We chose to bring back the Life Day items this year for a few reasons. Last year when we had the Life Day items, the Cartel Market was fairly new and so at the time, not a lot of people may have realized that these types of items can be limited. Also, we had not yet launched the Collections UI, which is especially helpful for items such as limited event items.

However, with that being said... It is our intention that after this run we will embargo the Life Day items and that they will not be returning again. Like all things, that is subject to change but currently our plan is that after this year these Life Day items will go into retirement!

Will you at least be adding a few new items for this holiday season?
