  1. The 15% expertise consumable no longer stacks with the expertise buff located on the maps. That is the only way you were getting 7k crits.

I never use the consumable. I only used the expertise buff on the maps + adrenal + power relic. My highest crit on a level 50 player was 7970 and he had 200-250 expertise.

On that SAME player with the same buffs I can't hit higher than 4k. It's a guildie and we tried it atleast 30 times in dueling.

    There IS a DEFINATE change.

  2. I have fought against the same premades and have critted them for 7k+....now I can barely touch them and only crit for 4k, and very rarely 5k...

Something isn't right. It's not just "people are level 50 and geared". We've fought against the same people 2 days ago and the damage is MUCH LESS.

Bioware did something, and just didn't post it in the notes.

    There's no other explanation honestly.

  3. The differences in damage between the Operative lethality spec vs the Sniper lethality spec is like night & day. Literally.

The issue of having to get in melee range, hit Shiv just to be able to Cull (which is pathetic on the Operative anyway) is ridiculous.

Not to mention that our Cull is 10m, while the Sniper Cull is 30m. It makes things way more irritating and it also does way less damage.

What are your opinions of Lethality spec for Ops?

  4. As it stands now, Operatives and Scoundrels all have instant abilities with VERY fast animations. Thus, they pump it out.

    Lol "Very fast animations"???

Dude what class are you playing.

Ask any level 50 Concealment Operative about the animations of the knife attacks and every competent one will tell you the animations are slow as **** and are horrible.

Don't even get me started about the Operative animations.

  5. Ive been saying BH's for two days when people have been SCREAMING about Operatives.

Yea ..it's a no win situation my friend.

Everyone just doesn't want to accept defeat and they get pissed when they die.

    It's pretty insane.

  6. It's truely amazing how no one can prove a thing via screenshots and/or videos.

The videos I see are a well geared 50 Op destroying newbies and levels 10-40.

Show me a video of a 50 Op doing all this damage to a full champ geared player that knows their class, and trinkets the knockdown, throws back stuns and cc's and basically melts us.

I can tell you right now that unless the level 50 Op has battlemaster gear, pops relics, has an insane amount of Exp, and all his hits crit then he is NOT beating a WELL GEARED Level 50 Vanguard that knows his class.

I will put money down on it.

Either show the PROOF or ****.

  7. According to Torhead's skill calculator Acid Blade:

"Coats your instruments in acid, causing your next Hudden Strike or Backstab to deal an additional 1247 internal damage over 6 seconds and increase armor penetration by 50% for 15 seconds. This ability does not respect the global cooldown and does not break stealth."

This means that he can use acid blade every time his GCD is up increasing the damage as well as causing internal damage (which NO tank class has hardly any resistance to).

Acid blade has a 2 second CD, does not trigger GCD.

So, if I were Operative I would hit Acid Blade, open with a stun (which seems to be able to crit for large amounts), backstab, blaster strike (or whatever it is called) Acid Blade, backstab again.

Target is probably going to be dead or near it.

Except that Backstab has a nice CD with it as well.

    Good try though.

  8. YaY! Another operative trying to defend being overpowered. Good luck with that. You are going to have to pull some George Bush like bs to win that one.

Atleast I don't post videos of a level 50 wiping the floor with level 20's.

You lost all credibility in your "OP nerf" arguement there.

    And by the way:

L2P, Cool story bro, and you need to level to 50. Okluvyabuhbye.

  9. But you see... you've already lost all credibility.

I know full well the knockdown is 3 seconds. That's 2 attacks, the 3rd coming after you get up. That's not speculation... that's a fact of the game mechanics!

So, if you spew perception as fact despite the laws of the game, how can we accept anything you ever say again?

Yep so this is how it goes.

    Sneak.

AB/HS ...player gets critted and knocked down.

    Backstab..

    Shiv...

...player gets up right as we are about to Lacerate and either stuns or knocks us back then runs.

Granted if we crit high enough to kill them in the AB/HS, Backstab, Shiv combo then yea...you get facerolled but that doesn't always happen and against a good player and well geared player it DOESNT happen.

  10. Everyone knows operative is overpowered. Even Rasui who is clearly an operative responding to every nerf thread made. Obviously someone likes being OP and wants to continue. Can't blame you for that.

This is one of the many operative vids:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZ8o_WmpyyI

Please post a video of an operative opening on someone and losing the fight 1v1. I have never seen this, in game or video. This is the definition of overpowered.

Did you even notice that 90% of the people that guy killed in that video were in their level 20's?

In fact, he didn't kill a few level 20ish players and they got away.

Your arguement is bursting with fail flavor.

  11. I've given my list of evidence in one of the thousand other threads regarding this topic.

I just think the burst out of stealth needs to be slightly reduced, and that DoTs should not stop upon vanishing.

I don't think the balance issue is as overstated as most people believe, but to deny its existence is pure nonsense and sounds like it's coming from someone with not enough geared experience playing other classes against the geared Operative/Scoundrel equivalent.

Acid Blade/Flechette Round is the real problem. Its 31 skill point talent is heads and shoulders above any other in terms of overall power.

Deny it all you want. I'm going back to playing the game now. Continue to haunt the forums with your flawed, irrational arguments as you please.

Yea go back to playing the game, and level to 50 please. Thanks bye.

  12. Just curious, what level is your toon and what class do you play?

I see a lot of anti-Op QQ but most folks never include those details. The 50 pvp bracket is coming this month and you will instantly see a difference with Operatives when they are pitted against nothing but 50s. I have a feeling that most of these QQ threads are started by clothies who are joining warzones at 15 and are pissed when they get blown up. Most healers (and really all classes) don't get the tools they need to compete until the mid to late 40s. That's where specs solidify and capstone abilities roll in. Then there is the added level of gear, and some classes scale much better with gear or are more gear-reliant than others.

I play a 50 op and I have about 300 expertise at the moment. you know what? Level 20 mercs that wander alone into my sights get exploded. You know what else? The same merc at level 50 in comparable gear is a whole different animal. If I don't get a lucky string of crits he ends up at 30-40% of his health and I have a hard time closing the deal if the dude is decent. It comes down to which of us has the most cooldowns at that point.

Op damage is front loaded, but our sustained sucks. We are also very squishy. We have evasion that gives us 3 seconds of 100% dodge and a ****** shield on a 1 minute cooldown, but that doesn't usually cut it compared to the survivability tools of literally every other class.

I hope that BW is smart enough to let the dust settle on PVP before they really get in and try re-balancing classes. You CAN NOT judge class balance in this current mixed-level setting, only a max level pvp environment a month or two into the game when folks are in similar gear levels can be used as a true measuring stick for balance. If they nerf our opener into the ground they will have to give us better sustained dps and tune our survivability / gap closing ability or they break the class.

Win post is win. Well said and I agree.

I can't wait for the level 50 bracket to come so these people can truely see how we do.
