  1. I agree that the animation is 100% the problem. I read somewhere that the commando aoe mortal volley, I am a commando I hardly ever use this because of how long it takes to cast. It is suppose to be a 3 second cast, but it takes closer to 8 seconds due to animation, anyways I read that mortar volley takes about twice the time to cast as the bounty hunter equivalent due to animation.

I always see bounty hunters use their AoE's in warzones and I always wondered why because as a commando it is horribly slow and definitely not worth the time.

anybody else feel that commando mortar volley is kinda... slow compared to its claimed cast time.

  2. people are powerleveling 20-50 in 3 hours right now...

You need to roll back the ENTIRE day for anyone in tantooine or Ilum.... all drops and exp/valor from the zones

Basicly you allowed everyone to spit on those who have worked hard for weeks to level their toons.

wait what? this is the first I have heard of a powerleveling exploit, do tell

  3. This will probably bring many flames, BUT in my opinion having 3-4 healers on your team in a warzone would be exactly why you lose.

In civil war, you need to kill off all the enemy around the objective and cap it before the first one you killed can return and interrupt your capture attempt, this is purely DPS based. If you don't have the dps to down them fast enough, you don't cap

In Voidstar it is the same way, you need to have the dps to down everybody so you can place the bomb, before the respawns get released again, purely dps based objective.

In Huttball, if You can't down the ball carrier and the huge entourage of enemies around him, they can literally just slowly walk to the goal and score, again DPS based.

I think that 1 maybe 2 healers per warzone is plenty, and 2 may be too many actually.

I don't think this is an issue in any way, just how I think it is

World pvp is obviously a completely different animal, and healers are probably much more helpful.

  4. definitely not just you, also this game is the opposite of a traditional mmo in that I would tell all my friends new to WoW that you really are not playing the game until you reach max level, but swtor is you are only playing the game on your way to max level.

swtor is 4 single player campaigns packed into one game, that for some reason they made online. Honestly there is no reason for this to be online or multiplayer as that brings nothing to the game.

the pvp is horrible, the classes are crazy imbalanced and broken.

    The warzones are incredibly small

the pvp rewards are a joke.

there is quite literally the smallest item selection I have ever seen in any videogame ever.

I have one selection of pvp items, and one selection of pve items. It's not even like I could stray from that and put some random world epics in there or something, because they don't exist.

the lack of end game gear to pursue is what finally killed this game for me. Sorry.

  5. /signed

I guess Bioware cannot remake this stupid system. Quick improvment could be to raise the drop rate. Actrually, it must be 10%, it should be 50% or 30% whit 5 commendation if no drop.

More acceptable than that crappy system.

I can t believe they was thinking it was fun for players.

Simple rule im MMO developement : if it s unfun, DONT make IT!

Ya I still can't believe that the bags with no item don't give you extra commendations.

  6. I guess I never understood the problem with trying to be fair, obviously the world is not fair, but video games are man made, and are not the real world, and could in theory be fair. One of you complains that the problem is "no lifers" would be max gear and would destroy everybody else. So your complaint is that people that work harder are better... hmm bad complaint in my opinion, but I guess some people like the chance that they can be better for 1/2 the work. I don't want to super outgear anybody, I don't want to have welfare epics handed to me, I just want it to be the same amount of effort for everyone.
  7. "I want the fact I can sink countless hours into the same to maske me have a statistical edge over my opponent. Anything else is unfair"

If you've played that much your experience should be a counter. Timesink should not equal skill. You have a legit ***** about the random nature of the loot, but don't pretend its because you seek fair and balanced matches, you seek to be rewarded with an edge over others because you can sink insane hours into the game. Pick your poison.

Yes but should other people have an advantage over me that have played 1/10th the hours?

Skill is a big factor, but it's not the only factor, imagine at your job, little jimmy the 16 year old stoner that goes to your local high school, you know the one that everybody at your job hates because hes so slow and lazy? Ya imagine he gets paid 10 times what you do, but he works half the hours. Seems fair to me, and fun.

  8. First I would like to start by saying that I realize none of you care, and none of you will ever care, and the devs will never care; however, I am still going to say what I want to say because I'm a little mad right now and this seems like a safe outlet for the anger.

I got level 50 on December 22nd, I started playing pretty early in the Early access, and for the exception of a couple days mainly Christmas eve, and New Years eve, I have done the pvp dailies in Ilum and the warzones every day, I am valor ranking 58.

These Champion lotto bags have been driving me crazy for awhile now, and today was finally the day that made me decide I'm done. I can't count how many champion lotto bags I have opened, but it is probably near at least 100, and I'm still missing 4 peices of gear, chest, implant, weapon, ear peice. Now don't get me wrong, this WOULD be more than okay if everybody was obtaining gear this slowly, but that is not the case. One of my guildmates just got level 50 today, and already has full champion set, because since level 40 he has been buying champion bags with all of his commendations, he said he had about 25 bags saved in his bank. Wow great for him that truly is awesome. However this DOES NOT make a balanced, competitive, or enjoyable pvp experience. I truly don't understand why you would make the decision to make one of the main factors of pvp, gearing out your character with the correct gear, such a luck based occurance.

    tl:dr

Champion Lotto Bags, DO NOT make for a competitive, or balanced, or fun pvp experience.

  9. You DO know that your message contradicts itself.. right?

Allow me to paraphrase for clarity:

"Not enough to do, failing MMO"

    "LET ME IN!!!"

I want to experience the fail before I cancel my pre-order. I don't believe anything I read on the forums so until I experience the fail for myself how do I know that it is fail?

  10. everybody says that if I don't like single player games that I won't like this game, my co-workers know that I hate single player games so they have warned me several times. my question is why the hell did they even make an MMO and not just another single player game. What about the 80% of us that do care about pvp rank, gear level, and endgame content. Guess this just isn't the game for us.
  11. This game is sweet.

I never complained about having to wait for early access

Never had que, no lag no bugs so far just a great game.

    Sweet

Cant wait to get home and play more

you are the 1%. Which is awesome... for you. Unfortunately 1% does not a profitable game make.

  12. I'm from American and I am only mad because by time I get to play the game there will already be many max level people. I personally enjoy the rush to max level, the excitement of being first or at least close to the first people to do a raid, actually learning things for myself before my friends and co-workers tell me it all. which has already happened. Which is why I ask that if bioware is every planning on releasing a expansion that they let me know now so I can preorder it today so that I may get to play it first.
  13. As a failing MMO with wasted potential and too little content? No, SWTOR cannot replace SWG.

I agree SWTOR is a failing MMO with wasted potential, not to mention millions of dollars, and very little content for how long they worked on it.

    Thumbs up to you sir

    also bonus wave

  14. I feel like my main concern with this is different than a lot of peoples.

My main concern with the whole staggering access thing is that guilds are already full, raids are already raided, many people are already max level, the Auction House is already full. I realize that even if everyone did start the same day I personally would probably not be one of the first raiding, I may not be the first to max level, but at least I would have had a chance, at least I would have been able to have some fun in the race to max level stay up 72 hours drinking coffee binge, but there is no point in that anymore. I am joining a seasoned MMO it has already been tainted nothing done at this point will mean anything, because I still won't be getting into the good guilds, I still won't be first to max level, and ontop of it all I will be getting my ganked the entire way up by people that shouldn't even exist.

tl:dr people are already max level, guilds are full, raids are looted. no adventure left.

  15. I preordered on the 10th OF JULY. I just sit here and see all these people complaining and acting all entitled because I am already bored of the game. Also, I am a Bioware fanboy...this is my first game I'm playing from EA AND BIOWARE (not much of a gamer besides WoW and early CoD)....the point I'm trying to make is that people are over reacting, complaining and just making themselves look stupid because of some strange entitlement that they feel they have.....I really don't understand it fully. And it really makes bioware look bad. This company is offering an amazing product that's been in the works for A LONG time, the least you could do is have no fun playing the game because there are already full guilds of level 50's playing. That's all this is. Now if you're hovering over the inbox waiting on the hour every hour to see if you got in then that's sad...you should have a good projection of when you are getting in based on the date that you preordered.

THERE IS LITERALLY NOTHING FAIR ABOUT HOW THEY ARE DOING THIS.

Sorry, been wanting to say that for a couple of days now.

    ~Michael
