  1. The change in Grit Teeth from lowering CD of Enraged Defence (2 min CD) to lowering CD of Saber Ward (2.5 min CD) feels terrible. It's just yet another change to Juggernaut Immortal playstyle that is a clear step backwards in power, utility AND IS NOT FUN.

For the love of The Force, stop this madness!

  2. As soon as I see "choice" defined as "choose one of these three abilities you used to get - now you get only one!", alarm bells start ringing. Then I see iconic SW abilities being removed from Force users in the name of "diversity". BW, if you think Im going to engage in template swapping for different bosses, you are mistaken. There are ways to prune things back without taking a hatchet to the classes.

So far on PTS things don't look good at all - and if you persist in this folly you will lose players.

  3. I have a suggestion for new Juggernaut tactical:

Echoing Scream: Force Scream reverberates to four enemies in front of the Juggernaut. The first target takes 100% damage, the second target 50% damage, the third 25% damage and the fourth 12.5% damage. Weak opponents are are knocked back and normal opponents are feared for 3 seconds.

Generally, I feel the juggernaut tactical abilities lack color - something like this is more interesting.

  4. Animation on the armor turns on an off in a not entirely random manner. Outside the Commander base in Odessen, the animation goes crazy fast. You enter the base and it stops. In an area where it has stopped, if you open the outfit designer and activate a different outfit then reactivated the DE appearance the animation starts in the Designer window. As soon as you close the window the animation on the character freezes again. Running about on the fleet, in certain areas the animation starts, and then stops when you pan the cameras or move the character. Very annoy bug that ruins what I think is a great armor set.
  5. This is often the problem with SWTOR: people just do not know how things work, and worse they are often not told how things should work.

Too large a part of this fault lies with BW. We should not need to hit the forums nor should we need to go to Dulfy to understand how much of the game works.

Yes, MMO's are complex and do need sites like MMO Champ and Dulfy to ease the curve. However, I respectfully submit that in this case BW have been found wanting for better communication of game systems.

    That and better QA.

  6. The bug with disappearing weapons has been around from release... unbelievably. When you destroy objects as quest objectives (e.g. the crates in the War on Spice heroic on Tat) your light saber will still be wielded by your toon but the graphic disappears.

    Been like that since release.

  7. OK, thanks for the help. Is Khem Val not really viable at higher levels? Better to go with DPS?

With Khem you really have to keep him geared, as at high levels (particularly 48-55) he will melt with two silvers on him. Not really a problem as you can just mount/dismount a speeder (I had it macro'd :p).

I loved Khem - he was my favourite companion and fits the Sorcerer story arc perfectly as an integral part of your characters life and development from Korriban to Makeb.

Alas, if efficiency if you thing, then you're better off at high levels with a geared Talos Drellik.

To be honest for levelling you still can't beat the 16 point Madness/lightning hybrid (pure Madness comes close but has Force issues)... I save lightning for PvP (and even then prefer the hybrid for Pugs).

  8. Oh look the PVP community is acting like they're the only thing holding this game together again

You really should have realized this game would focus more on PVE content when it was so heavily focused on story.

Problem is it's not just the PvP community. I don't pretend to speak for anyone, but both myself and my group are into PvP AND PvE in a big way. We read the dev preview note... all the text messages were the same: :|

  9. PvP players! I’d love to be able to tell you more about what’s coming in 2.4 and we’ll have more details to share as we get closer. To be clear on the scope of what I was hinting at, we are not going to get closer and just say ‘huzzah, a new Warzone!’ We are working very hard on larger PvP features that everyone will enjoy but are especially targeted at our more hardcore PvP community.

Nice words Bruce, the problem is that most players I've spoken too - PvP or not - are deeply underwhelmed by this patch.

  10. Choose a female Sith Inquisitor - the voice is wonderful, dripping with world-weary sarcasm. She purrs her lines with wonderful snark and delivery is perfect - a world of difference from the bored-sounding female consular. The male Inquisitor is also splendid - his declarations of "YAWN" after a long speech by a dull Darth (much to the Darth's anger) are priceless.

Mechanistically Sage and Sorcerer may be the same, but the effects, visual and auditory, along with the different voice deliver, quest make up and overall tone, put the two (literally) worlds apart.

  11. I see it from the other side. I gave up entering in a pre-made because it was boring - random PUGs don't stand a snowball in hell's chance, especially if the premade has voice coms.

I prefer to fight people on equal terms so I agree that premade and random should be kept apart.

Whatever floats your boat, I suppose - but it got so bad I felt dirty as I watched the other team quit one by one, only to be replaced by people who either quit as soon as they saw the score/situation or shortly thereafter. No fun for me and certainly no fun for those who queued up only to get thrown to the lions.

Really, it does demoralise new players and gives PvP in the game a bad name.
