  1. Need some clarification on the outpost before I can post my next reply.

Taken from page 1 of the IC thread:

Alderick and Elsia found themselves in ruins, a recently destroyed outpost of some sort. It was at the end of a mountain pass and one side there was a sheer drop into a vast jungle. Up here things were quiet, except for the sound of falling rain, almost eerily so. The former Imperial soldier and the slave were trapped up here for the time being together.

From that, I had assumed that the outpost was towards the higher end of the mountain pass, in which case flooding wouldn't necessarily be an imminent risk. Or am I imagining the layout of the area with the outpost incorrectly?

  2. Something tells me Boran knows he is stirring, if not awake. Mind reading and all. :p Then again, he likely will not act on it, or he will overplay his hand even more than he already has.

Probably :p I'll be honest I couldn't think of anything else to have Alderick without interrupting the conversation though xD

  3. Well if I am in a corner I have to blow the walls done to make some room and well that's true and Joining them has allow my character a chance to recharge and lol I hope am not that tall when I am 134

I didn't think Jaron was in that much of a corner, but I guess we'll see what happens lol

Keep in mind, Alderick would be skeptical of Jaron/would likely have asked the question anyways, in addition to a few others. I'm pretty sure there's an unwritten rule somewhere about not trusting a Sith you've just met :p

  4. Alderick doesn't necessarily trust Jaron, but he's not going to try to shoot him outright. Remember, Alderick is suspicious of Sith, so Jahuro's whisper so far won't really have added anything in that department. Trying to take on the Mandalorians goes much better for Alderick with Jaron's help at the moment, so he's not about to just ignore that either.

It would be pretty out of character for Alderick to just shoot Jaron or anything like that just with what's happened so far. From his military background, impulsive action isn't something Alderick will do often. (If he did, he probably wouldn't have been able to hide his Force Sensitivity for so long while serving in the Imperial military)

  5. Alright, posted it.

Also, hoping that "Whisper" is closely aligned with Alderick's thoughts, enough so that it reinforces them. :D

Side Note: And yes, ofc the whispers start out vague, small, and somewhat unmeaningful. Boran is still feeling it out after all. :D

Afterthought: And yes, I also gave it an echo. :p

The echo is a nice touch :p I think what you posted seems fine.

  6. Curse those precog powers!:p

Side Note: Darksaberexile, before I post my reply, is it alright if I make the whispers sound almost like they are your characters own? They hold no persuasive power, but seeing how they are whispers within the mind, they might be mistaken for his own thoughts. Do I have your approval?

After Thought: So it is very much like he knows he is being watched?

Sure, you can do that. As long as Jahuro's careful with his whispers, of course. If it's "I will take over the galaxy and crush all that oppose me!" or something like that, then Alderick would be able to identify that as not his own thought :p

And I think your afterthought is a pretty good summary of it. Because of Alderick's precog, he can get the vague feeling of being observed, but it won't allow him to determine anything about who/what is watching him, unless Jahuro decides to give Alderick more to go on. I'm sure Jahuro's capable of avoiding being detected if he wants to :p

  7. It will do, Jeeves, it will do... :D

I was going to say why the whispers were bothering him before Boran whispered...But I am tossing that one up to Alderick's precog. :p As long as he doesn't feel his full blown presence I mean, he is still concealing it ya know...

All Alderick has really noticed is that someone/something is there, but he can't really tell any more than that about it. Part of the reason it's annoying him, because it's basically a background noise he can't identify/can't locate. :p

  8. Ok, posted my reply. The way I wrote it, most of it is meant to take place between Jaron's last post and Karadron's post with Elsia asking to speak to Alderick.

Also wrote in a way for Jahuro to try his Force Whisper.

If anyone sees anything I need to edit/has any suggestions to improve the post, let me know. Trying to write it to incorporate interactions with 3 different people wasn't very easy :p

  9. Adding finishing touches to LK's advancement scenario atm.

Side Note: I know it is terribly vague, but can't write too much more in that post without spoiling future additions to that story arc. Hope it suits you. :d_grin:

Side Note: I think we are waiting on Darksaberexile in order to proceed?

I'll get my post up tonight after work (5-7 hours after posting this, most likely). It took me a bit to try to figure out how to balance the competing demands for attention by both of my group members :p

  10. @Silenceo

I don't really know much about the healing stuff. As for the Force Whisper, I'd say it depends on how it's done. And would prefer that we get to choose how our character reacts if they're the one targeted by it. For example, if he attempts to influence Alderick, I'd be open to it if I get to control the response. If it causes Alderick to do something I feel is really out of character/I don't have a say in it, then I'd say no.

  11. i just posted something that Karadon and Darksaber well should respond to it affects your characters but it might start a debate

Posted my response. Alderick has a history of sensing ambushes, so while I'm assuming he can't determine where Jaron is without something to help narrow it down, Jaron can't just walk up and slit his throat either.

Also not sure Jaron would want to just kill Alderick once he's demonstrated that he can tell someone is there. I think it would at least make Jaron a little curious about him, since a normal Imperial soldier probably wouldn't have any idea that Jaron was in the room.
