  1. You can give your companion a boost with Presence Stims. You can get those from med droids or the GTN would have better ones for your level. In the cantina on Belsavis you can also go to the cantina vendor to get a food or drink item that also gives a presence boost.

I agree with the above poster with going slowly at the edges, just take one mob at a time and watch for patrols. Sentinels don't really have a tank stance in the classic sense so you need to keep yourself as DPS. Since any companion can do all 3 roles, use the companion that has the most affection.

You might also try putting your companion in tank stance and having them fight first. You'll need to heal after fights, but it might go smoother. Good luck.

  2. I happened to read this thread yesterday and had a character I could try it out on. In my case I had played this Mercenary through Hutta then leveled him to 50 with heroic missions only (during double XP). When I hit 50 I did a round of daily missions for the Gree Event. I wanted to do the relay mission so I went back and finished my class story on DK so I'd get my ship. This all got me to level 53 so I could do the SoR prelude.

When I started Shadow or Revan, the cutscene started as before with my character doing pushups. Instead of a companion wanting to speak with me, there was a chime for an incoming communication. There is an Imperial officer informing me he as received my request for coordinates and course to Rishi. I tell him I never submitted that request and he's a bit flustered. Mako is seen observing this exchange. I then say that someone must want me to go to Rishi and the scene ends with me and Mako sitting on the bridge going to hyperspace.

I haven't gone any further as I will want to finish my class story before doing KOTFE. I think I'll play through Rishi-Yavin-Ziost before going back to my class story just to see how it looks/works.

Thanks for posing the question, it's been fun playing it out to see what happens.

  3. Hey folks,

I wanted to pop in this thread and address your concerns with the 3 day delay on Cartel Coin grants. Since August of last year an issue creeped into our granting system which caused Cartel Coins to be granted every 33 days, instead of every 30 days as intended. As you pointed out, if this issue went on for a long period of time, your monthly grant could be affected and so we definitely did not want that to happen. As of right now the only effect is that your grant may be delayed.

With that in mind, we have a fix for this issue planned with next week’s maintenance. After next week your grants should continue forward, 30 days apart, as intended. Thank you for raising this issue so we could get it addressed.

I was credited my subscriber grant today April 18. The last grant I received was March 16. This is 33 days later. I was billed March 30 for a new 3 month subscription.

It certainly seems that the fix hasn't been fully applied. In the interest of clarity, the whole subscriber grant system should be reset to grant a set number of days after billing. Telling customers that grants could be received in as little as 2 days and as many as 20 days isn't helpful.

  4. Correction: I was able to put HK-55 in the stronghold, but when I went back with a different character that had completed Chapter 9, the spot was empty. When I went with a character that hadn't gotten HK-55 yet (she just started KOTFE Chapter 1) the spot was still empty. The space counted as decorated for the stronghold conquest bonus.

Going back with the character that had placed him, he is invisible when you have him with you, no holographic. I'm going to leave him there in hopes they just need to code the holographic HK-55.

  5. I was able to put HK-55 in my stronghold. I'd acquired him as a companion, then went to my stronghold and added him . I haven't gotten that character to chapter 9 though to see if he's still there.

I tried the same thing with Marr, right after he joined me on his ship, but it didn't work. Maybe I need to play a little further through the chapter to have it trigger. I'm going to try this again today.

  6. This quest changed a bit in 4.0. I just happened to have done it today so it's fresh in my mind.

It used to be you just threw the grenade and there was a bonus related to the piggys.

Now, you have to kill 20 piggies to get the grenade. When you enter the area, you are given a bonus to kill the champ on the east rim of the pit. If it didn't have you do that, maybe you had the quest in your log from before 4.0? I'd abandon the quest and get it again if that's the case.

  7. I don't know what hilt you have in your mainhand now, but look at your force bonus damage before and after adding in the 204 hilt. It really depends on how much your Force Power increases versus the decrease in Willpower.

Remember that each point in Force Power increases your Bonus Damage by .23 while each point in Willpower increases it by .20 while giving you a little crit. You'll be losing the crit chance you lose with the drop in Willpower as well.

If you're running with a 198 MH now, I'd say don't bother, but with a 186 or 192 there's likely a benefit albeit an unorthodox one.

  8. All healing companions have their heals on cooldowns. When all the heals are on cooldown, these companions use basic weapon attacks or other attacks enabled from their abilities. Since the ship droid doesn't have a mainhand weapon and no other attack moves, he will run up to a selected target and slap them. This of course does little damage, but it also makes him the only companion to run into harms way on purpose.

You "can" make the droid a healer, but any of the other companions will do a better job.

  9. The other comments got me thinking of this more.

Looking this up from last year: The Cyan Sphere cost 16 Gray Helix and 36 Snow Covered Parcels and required Champion standing with the Gree. Last year the Life Day and Gree went on at the same time. The Blue Sphere's were/are 48 Gray Helix and the Red Sphere was a super rare drop from Xenoanalyst.

By the way Tait, what about the bugged cooldown and duration on Heroic Moments? There are at least 9 different threads addressing it but no one has seen any acknowledgement in the known issues.

  10. I had seen on Instagram that the new pigtails haristyle was coming with 3.0. So I looked in the Cartel Market when I logged on and saw the Pompadour which I liked even more. I bought it from the CM. My character was as follows:

    Sith Inquisitor

    Body 3

    Beard 30 (Narrowing sideburns)

    Hair 20

    Hair Color 8 (Dark Red)

When switching to the Pompadour, the color of the hair is completely different (Clown Wig Red?). It of course wasn't anywhere close to matching the beard. (They were out of proportion for the hairstyle anyways.) Even trying a different hair color with that hairstyle looks a bit off. The black isn't even black. I was hoping it just looked funny in the appearance designer, but I was wrong.

If I'd looked at it in the appearance designer to begin with, I wouldn't have even bought it. Plus the Cartel Coins to Change my appearance. So part of this is on me, but I still feel a bit cheated by the inconsistent color.

I'm holding off on the pigtails since the appearance designer seems to show similar inconsistencies. Please fix this.
