  1. It looks like 3.0 bugged all the decorations that are available from the prefab droids. They don't show up in my decoration list at all anymore, and when I try to interact with the ones that I've already placed in my strongholds, the Edit Mode window incorrectly displays the first decoration listed alphabetically from the same category and won't allow me to manipulate it at all.

Any idea what's going on here?

I have the exact same issue with the Statue of Eternal Grace that's sold by the Collector's Edition vendor.

  2. On the Consular's Exalted Robes (and robes of similar style - Force Evangelist Shroud, Traditional Thermoweave Robe, etc.) there is a flap in the front that has clothy physics. The lower part of that flap clips directly into the legs and stretches in a bizarre way, making my character look extremely silly anytime she is running around. Here's a screenshot:

    Robe Clipping

    Robe Clipping 2

As you can see, calling it a "clipping" issue is generous.

I hope Bioware fixes this soon. It's my favorite robe. And yes, I already filed a ticket. The issue came into being in the 1.3.6 patch on 8/22/12. It was the patch where they "fixed" a bunch of hoods that stretched wildly in certain cases (like while riding speeders), but they introduced this animation bug at the same time. I brought this up at the SF Cantina Event as my Pet Bug.

  3. I've reported this in /bug a couple times. I can reliably reproduce the issue on my Seer Sage by doing either of the following:

    Casting Forcequake during battle.

Looting an enemy corpse during battle.

Both of these actions cause the Lightsaber to disappear and then re-appear after the action has been taken. When the lightsaber comes back out, it has a normal blade instead of the special one. Additionally the lights on the hilt stop blinking.

It doesn't matter what color crystal I have in the blade, but I normally use Cyan.

I've also seen the issue on my Sentinel when using Dual Saber Throw.

  4. Under Titles, the final entry says Title: Archon, yet the item it grants you is Title: Revan's Heir. Despite purchasing the Revan's Heir title from the Cartel, and using it on my character, I am unable to purchase this "Archon" unlock. It says that I do not have the item in my Collection.

There is no Collection unlock named "Title: Revan's Heir" listed anywhere.

    What I did:

    1) Purchased Title: Revan's Heir.

    2) Redeemed and used Title on my character Da'ru.

    3) Checked Da'ru's actual title list - Revan's Heir is listed and I am able to select it.

    4) Switched to another char.

    5) Went to Collections and looked at "Archon" title (really for Revan's Heir). It says "You do not own this item in your Collection."

    6) Went back to Da'ru, checked Collections "Archon" title - "You do not own this item in your Collection."

  5. Are you kidding (I hope so)? That meme/trope/whatever-trendy-internet-word-you-want-to-use is as as tired as "You even lift, bro?"

I could not care less what armor has or does not have a dye slot, but for someone to complain that they didn't know a particular piece lacks a dye slot before they bought either it or the dye is the epitome of lame.

It's not that big of a deal to have bought the dye, I can send it off to another character and use it elsewhere or resell it. No big deal.

But the Aspiring Knight Vest is currently the only moddable gear of its styling available to the Republic players and it's not dyeable b/c it's a "low level item". Given that the item is moddable, it's not really a low level item as I like to use it on my 55 Sentinel - and it's always been a fairly popular seller as far as my Synthweaving crafting goes.

Why not let players customize the coloration of all their moddable gear, regardless of what level it initially was when they got it?

  6. The moddable Aspiring Knight's Vest is literally the only crop top (that's not a slave outfit) available to the Republic players outside of the Cartel, and because it's a Level 15 schematic it has no dye slot. This should be changed. Bioware has said that low level items don't get dye slots, but there are several schematics available to Synthweavers and Armormechs that produce moddable gear as low as Level 11.

I got excited when I previewed the new Pale Blue dye on the Aspiring Knight's Vest, bought some, and then realized that the armor had no dye slot. Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed.

Please fix this, Bioware. All moddable gear should have a dye slot.

  7. Well, if it's supposed to be a skirt, like the item name says, why does the male version have leggings?

I don't see why we need gender-based differences - all armour and all versions of armour should be available to both of the gender options in this game, there's literally no reason why they should be divided as they are.

I don't see why all clothing variants for both genders should be the same - both genders aren't visually the same. For me, it's all about having a variety of options and styles. If you want the look of a skirt w/ pants underneath you already have the Last Handmaiden's lower outfit for that. We don't have the look of a skirt-only equipment. Though in fact, if they made the male look be the same skirt-only no pants look as well then I wouldn't have a problem. It's a new look that hasn't been available before, and I'd rather not see it taken away for the sake of "consistency."

Then I can have my Smuggler run around in his kilt, and my Jedi can run around in her skirt! More options is always good.

  8. Well, from the looks of the screens in the blog, the female version is missing the trousers (I don't buy packs, so I've not seen it in game), unless of course the Rattataki skin colour is confusing our eyes. See here, where the male version is dressed head-to-toe, but the female version is missing the leggings and the skin of her legs are showing? That can't be intended, you've stopped doing the unnecessary gender differences in armour.

Please don't change it. I rather like the female version looking kind of like a skirt. There aren't really any options for something like that short of the slave outfits. There are already plenty of full pants options. There's nothing wrong with gender differences in armor.

  9. This issue (quoted from the thread where I originally posted) currently exists with missions in Diplomacy, Investigation, Treasure Hunting, and Underworld Trading, and the plan is to fix the icons in the 2.1.1 patch.

Uh, perhaps you made a mistake but the post you quoted has nothing to do with mission icons. It has to do with the fact that UT crits produce less Metal and more Cloth, which is just about the exact opposite that most UT users are looking for. Is that issue going to be fixed?

As a side note, is something going to be done about the general worthlessness of Luxury Cloth in general? Prior to 2.0, it at least had a use in Purple Light Armor Synthweaving Recipes, but now even most of those use Underworld Metals instead. Why are over half of my UT missions at 450 skill for Luxury Cloth when less than 1/3 of 1 crafting profession uses the Cloth, yet there are 3 separate crafting professions that use Underworld Metal? :rak_02:

  10. Are not a set of robes that look like that, with the pale yellow color, given as a reward for the Chasing the Shadow heroic in the Black Hole? It's been a while since I've done that mission with my consular, but I seem to remember the armor from there.

This is correct. The robes don't have the same name (I believe they're called Annointed Nanotech or something like that), but they match exactly the icon of the robe the OP has listed here.

  11. The Basic Gear is what you're "supposed" to buy with it. It does not have set bonuses, but that's because it's only starter gear for heading into level 55 HM FPs to get your Arkanian, which is the new Columi.

All of the stats of all the gear at 55 are total crap, so it's not just the Basic gear. The Supercommando set had Alacrity on the helmet on PTS, for instance. It's the worst itemization we've seen from BW in a while.

And unfortunately since all armorings, barrels, and hilts are now stupidly bound to specific gear slots (and even weapon types) on extraction, you can't really buy multiples of one item that has non-suck stats to balance stuff out.

The only real option is to mix and match as best you can among the junk that's available, or just give up on the set bonus and go with crafted mods up to Arkanian level (Ultimate is not and will not be craftable).

According to the patch notes, Alacrity has been reworked so it should be an ok stat for everyone now, in theory:

•Alacrity has been redesigned to be a more universally useful stat. Now Alacrity reduces the activation time of all abilities, including instant abilities. If such an ability is reduced below the global cooldown, the global cooldown is reduced as well. Alacrity now also increases resource regeneration for all classes by the same amount that it increases ability activation speed.

  12. The answer to your question is that these colors will now come from Reverse Engineering! The patch note reads:

Artifice now allows players to Reverse Engineer the following Advanced Indestructible, Advanced Hawkeye, and Advanced Eviscerating color crystals:

    • Black-Blue

    • Black-Red

    • Cyan

    • Purple

But where will we get the Cyan and Purple crystals to Reverse Engineer? The Black-Blue and Black-Red were listed as being dropped in the new Scum & Villainy Operation in the 2.0 patch notes, but no mention was made of the Cyan or Purple crystals.

  13. I wanted to pop in and address some of your concerns about our barbershop and its use of Cartel Coins and not credits. There are a couple of design implications that go into these decisions I wanted to highlight in the hopes that it makes our decision in this regard a bit clearer.

    • We very consciously design these systems around the fact that subscribers get monthly Cartel Coin grants. Pricing, etc. has these monthly grants in mind to ensure that our subscribers have access to these systems.
    • We want to set the expectation that cosmetic systems like these are where you are going to see us use the Cartel Market. It is our continued philosophy that we will not implement a form of pay to win so cosmetic systems and other non-game impacting features are our best opportunities to make additions to the Cartel Market.

As we continue to release more information about our barbershop please continue to give us your feedback.

Can we not get something like that other popular MMO has where changing basic things that you'd normally expect a person to change (hair style, color, facial hair, piercings, etc.) cost in-game credits, but have a full-on character re-creation (race changes, skin color, face changes, etc.) cost Cartel Coins?

  14. If that were the case I'm sure the saber would skyrocket in price.

Do you know how likely the odds are of getting it in the packs?

Exact odds, no, but it's relatively low... Prices have fluctuated from about 600k-1.5 million on Harbinger over the past month or so as exact supply and demand changes.

  15. You can only get it in the Crime Lord Cartel Pack or the Black Market Cartel Pack. Neither are for sale on the Cartel Market any longer. You'd have to buy the item off the GTN or buy one of the packs off the GTN with the hope of getting the item. The Crime Lord pack is more expensive but provides a better chance of getting an item like that.

The bolded is wrong. The Crime Lord and Black Market Cartel Packs are both still for sale on the cartel. I'm looking at them right here in front of me.

  16. Howdy!

I'm curious if the coloring for the outfit looks as expected when you are in a conversation. We are looking into this issue and any information can help us track down what is occurring. The details already provided have already given us some excellent leads and we hope to get this all sorted out quickly.

    Thanks!

This has been a problem on my blue Twi'lek character Da'ru with the Slave Outfit, the Republic Dancer's Outfit, and the Black Hole Force-Mystic/Campaign gear (which can appear from almost completely white to pure black on different characters when outside of a cutscene). I've reported it several times over the last year, including submissions w/ screenshots of my character compared to other characters. >.<

From my observations, it seems to be that the darker the skin of your character, the lighter the textures on the affected clothing will be.
