  1. I don't want to whine about the way the tactical flashpoints in the game right now (I want but I won't ^^°).

Im just really curious what was the intention behind the following:

    • The only FPs counting for the Weekly Tactical FP mission are the ones on the list. 6 Tactical FPs available right now are not.
    • For the daily reward, there must be all the tacticals checked in.

So, there is a large chance that the FP rolled for the daily mission will not count for the weekly. And given that many of the runs now are take 1-1,5 hours easely, its not a small thing (I stopped doing Ops becouse right now I cant have a game to get my undivided attention for hours. 20-40 minutes max. Life happened). This week, I got Taral5 three times, and Battle of Illum today, not counting for the weekly.

Now, I really just would like to know: was this intentional, you wanted to have FPs that doesn't count for the weekly so people have to run more during the week, maybe 2-3 per day or why? I'm really curious.

  2. Just watched the stream, and with the level sync (I actually kinda like it, even if some parts, like soloing lower level dailies will be harder) reminded me an old idea.

Eric said that the loot the enemies drops stay as were only the rewards will be level appropriate. World bosses are a special type of mobs, and now that we can't go back and solo them with our overpowered lvl60 characters, again will need large groups to take down.

The point is, that the bosses should drop personal loot equipment boxes, similarly the event bosses when there is guaranteed loot (tokens, comms). That way the high level characters would join the world boss groups becouse it's worth it.

Also, the group finder could have a world boss segment to be able to gather groups with it, and not by yelling on the planet channel all around...

I love world bosses, and actually think it will be fun to have groups killing them again, but I'm afraid that they will be even more abandoned now that the sync makes the quick and dirty solo kills impossible. Please make them worth the effort!

  3. As may asked, are you broading the romance options?

Will they a way to mix up a little the companions of different classes? Like Kira and 4X and Theran for example...

    Non companion question:

Any chance that the Player Character models will bring to the level of the new NPCs? They look amazing, compared to them the player is like a plastic doll :(

  4. One thing that sets Togruta apart from other species is that, due to their Montrals, any item worn in your head slot will be automatically hidden. By introducing a new playable species which hides its head slot, this gives us the potential to introduce other species down the line who have "head things going on."

And will the other species finally get a Covert Energy Helmet, or something like that with the same effect?

    PLEASE?

  5. As was said before, anything from Timothy Zahn :)

The X-wing books from Michael Stackpole were great too (up until the I Jedi... I personally hate that one).

I liked the Old Republic books too, and they really ties in to the game. If nothing more, with the characters.

From others I liked the Plaguis, the Dark Lord: Rise of Darth Vader, or the one Clone Wars book I read: No Prisoners (I like Rex and Asoka, and the book handled them quite well... as well as good (not yet so) old Palleon :) )

But to repeat: anything from Zahn.

  6. I overdramatized it a bit, I admit. But I checked the guides here on the forums, a topic, and on dulfy, and the ability priorities are the same: the melee strike (saber strike mostly under 30% force, double strike or spinning strike at finishing phase) are the lowest, at 5th or 7th place. Now the actual rotation guide does say the use of double strike, but in my experience (not fresh, also admit) the with CDs and movement, sometime multiple targets, the other abilities CDs are up before I really could use the melee. I really did have the moment when I just felt like standing at the boss, doing visibly nothing (a hand gesture at 1,5 seconds) and then I see in the combat log parses that I actually did fight :t_rolleyes:

Prior 2.0 (okey, I don't know if that was actually that patch and I'm not in the mood to dig it up) the Infiltration Tactics did proc not just with Shadow Technique but Force Technique too, so the balance also used Shadow Strike, and as you said, there was a larger emphasis on the double strike. With that, it felt more balanced with the force and saber abilities. Yes, it was still using dots, but it was balanced.

But I think you answered my question, I don't want to argue over the spec itself. It's just a feeling, and did wonder if its only me. I guess i'm an oddball or the stupid one :D

    Peace!

  7. Just a honest question (and really no malice, just curious):

Am I the only one who just can't stand that I have a melee class, in light armor and a double lightsaber, standing at the side of the enemy, and just waving towards it?

Maybe in every 5th or 7th skill you use is the saber... if nothing else is up.

I played shadow since the release (before, becouse played it in beta and I planned on it since I first heard about the class in years before release), and played balance until 2.0 Then the class became basicly a dotter and this broke something in me.

I know that damage is god and I should be balance and i want to becouse the theme and the mindset is really what I want, but simply can't. I have that saber to hit things with... if I want to wave to the enemy and do "spells" I play a sage :(

  8. I see you evaded the questions: do you decorate for your enjoyment or for prizes? If for your enjoyment, why do you need prizes? Decorating your house is like dressing your character. There are no prizes for dressing your character well, are there? No.

No, but everybody can see my character. And believe or not, I get compliments for them too and it felt damn good :)

About strongholds: personally (and let's agree that thats all of us can only speak our personal priorities) couldn' care less other players trophies or achivements... as in raid or other bosses. I admit if he's proud of them, and yes, they should be shown in the stronghold. But when I visit, I'd like to see "what he did with the place" how it's decorated, how the furniture arranged, the functions placed.

I can agree that some will see strongholds as a trophy room or a museum of their own awesomeness, but then again, some will see it as their home. And there is that too, otherwise why the surroundings, the wiews form the rooms, the different planets? Why not just a square room with decor hooks, where you can put the throphies? Like a museum of awesomeness?

  9. Maybe its weird but I'd really like to see not typical game "decors" like kitchen and bathroom. A home is not only offices and trofea rooms, and garages, and with the something like a bath there are options of variations from simple, to real luxury style, decadent or clean, etc.

A pool in places like tatooine tells more about luxury than any gold statue :)

And +1 for armor displays... at least for those that have in the collection (if the normal is too difficult)

  10. I really like how this expansion takes shape but have a few small question that really bugs me right now...

    1. How fixed is that the subscriber reward stronghold is on Nar Shadaa? There is a good chance that it will be my main home, but I really hate that place :\ I can understand not having them on the capital planets becouse of the faction problems, but at least a choice between Tatooine and Nar Shadaa would be nice. (Until we can have a nice penthouse on Alderaan with the view to the mountains :D )

    2. Will there be any kind of upkeep/rent fee for the strongholds/guild ships, or I just have to buy them once and that's all. I think it's obvious what I'd like (buy once then nothing :D ) but I've seen both systems in other games so I really would like to know.

    3. This maybe way too early to ask, but: will there be a way to sell the strongholds? Not necessarely to other players, but if I want to move on another planet or just get rid of a stronghold I'm bored of...
