  1. Yeah i think it's great that end game pvp gear is based upon luck... I mean i think it's soo awesome when i see people in full BM and i think "Wow... how lucky!" Instead of, "Wow they must be skilled at pvp'ing!"

It's a great idea to NOT have Battlemaster gear based upon on skill like all those "other" mmo's and leave it all up to dumb luck.... Who cares if those other "unlucky" pvper's are actually good, and possibly even better than us "lucky ones."

Well don't think i can lay the sarcasm on much thicker...

Now ignoring the constant exploiting done in nearly every warzone played, and the disaster of the end game pvp planet know as Ilum. I'd like to know what BW was thinking making the End Game Top PVP Gear based solely upon luck? I'd prefer the top tier PVP gear based upon skill and accomplishment as opposed to the dumb luck option, and anyone that wouldn't, i question their merit as a serious pvper.

Bottom Line Fix End Game PVP before tera comes out, because as big as the fan base for star wars is, your alienating a great deal of pvper's. Many are willing, myself included, to overlook the problems that exist within a newly launched mmo but the amount of effort and time that BW's put into end game pvp, especially gearing, is an offense that many serious pvp'ers will not overlook

I don't entirely disagree with you but most of the time having more PvP gear just means you have more time to play, in any game.

Time is the factor, not skill.

  2. You're right. A player's personal skill effects the calculations that determine their damage output. Attention everyone: STOP BEING BAD. Thanks! That did the trick. Now everyone magically does more damage.

A sole DPS cannot outdamage a healer. There damage does not have to be ridiculous for PvE and it's not. When fighting a "million hp boss" there are 12+ of them beating on the damn thing. On the otherhand a single healer is designed to mitagate the huge dps output of that million hp boss.

And 7K is just a number you pulled out of thin air. Nobody does 7K in 10 seconds unless their is a huge gear disparity or they were melee operatives/scoundrels awhile back. Otherwise, it's crit luck. I have never had a 1vs1 fight that was over in under 30 secs that didn't involve gear disparity or an operative.

You're "Stop being bad" outlook works for light and medium armor healers. For the heavy armor healers this is not the case. They can most certainly out heal the damage you deal, as long as they have equal gear and they are of equal skill.

  3. The problem isn't healers, it's heavy armor healers.

One Heavy Armor healer can out heal 2-3 DPS if he knows what he's doing.

Lately on my server there have been nothing but premades of Tanks + Heavy Armor Healers.

Probably the most boring thing ever.

  4. Somebody doesn't optimize with modding.

Of course I do. Why do you think I still have 75% surge with BM gear.

BM gear comes with nothing but Accuracy and Crit.

Also, as an assassin, I have combat stealth. Getting more endurance means less damage. Why would I reduce my damage for a little more health, when I can just... POOF, gone when I'm in trouble.

    You guys are silly.

  5. I had that two weeks ago. Now I'm sitting on 12 spare BM comms.

    And your HP is low.

    Me > You

If you had BM gear you'd realize that BM gear provides much less health then PvE gear.

  6. Yesterday I joined a huttball only to be rolled and lose miserably in a cold game of 0-6. What happened was there were always at least two stealthers in our goal line camping. The enemy ball carriers will purposely jump down to the pit right below the goal line and toss the ball up to a stealther before any of us could react. The stealther will break stealth and score, then pop a ability only to vanish again.

Half the team is trying to go for the ball while the other half is desperately trying to find the campers to no avail. It was probably the worst pvp I've experienced. the game was over in less than five minutes.

Before anyone says "why don't you kill the ball carrier before they go near the goal line?" Must I remind you that falling to the pit is a much faster way to go closer to the goal line, there's no fire or walkways to navigate through. A sorc would carry the ball and use his dash ability to reach near the goal line from the bottom pit and toss it up to a stealther.

I have been in four huttballs now with this exploit and being repub its already hard enough to win on my server. If a visible enemy is standing near our goal line and they toss it that's completely fair, but a stealther is just insanity. They just wait near the goal until a ball carrier comes out and unstealths to score the ball.

Please fix bioware, it is by far the worst exploit ever.

Since when does strategy = exploit?

If there are 2+ stealthers in your goal line. That means it's 8v6. Actually, if the ball carrier is just trying to move the ball along it would be an 8v5. Your team can't handle an 8v5?

Face it, you're bad at the game.

  7. Classes pre-50 are imblanced.

Classes at 50 are relatively balanced. Merc/Commando healers (that are geared and are actually good) are a pain in the *** to kill but other than that there aren't too many people I can't kill.

Instead of saying "Classes are imbalanced" why not explain what you feel is imbalanced. What exactly do you want them to fix?

  8. Hey, I have a great idea to help with this super surviving healer situation. Team leaders in pug games could actually mark those healers and teams could then focus fire them down.

    Try it, you'll like it.

This is why I like being one of the highest valor players on my server.

    I always mark the healers.
