  1. I was asking myself the same question last night. So i did a little math.

     

    First off, Power contributes roughly 14-15% more dmg than Willpower (or any main stat), Meanin 1 power = 1.15 Willpower. (you can open your character sheet as a reference).

     

    Now, to compare the Mods damage-wise, I'm going to convert the damage contribution from the mods to a single stat for an apple to apple comparison.

     

    Mod #1:

    64 Willpower

    12 Power (x 1.15) ~ 13.8 Willpower

    TOTAL : 77.8 Willpower ;

     

    Mod #2

    51 Willpower

    39 Power ( x 1.15) ~ 44.85 Willpower

    TOTAL : 95.85 Willpower.

     

    Mod #2 has roughly 23% more dmg output than Mod #1, Even with 5% mainstat buff.

    Mod #2 has 90 hp less than Mod #1.

     

    For PVE, Mod #2 is the better choice.

     

    For PVP, depends:

    What I have come to notice from my experience, if you are a burst type class, like a Powertech Pyro, you need the +power to do as much frontload burst dmg as possible, until the next burst.

     

    If your class is about DoTs and Outlasting the other class, you will need the +Endurance, both from Mods and Enhancements.

  2. It's not "desync" issues.

    It's the delay time of your key input to be sent to game server, process an action, send the output signal of that action back to you. This is normal server delay.

     

    You can try this when playing next to a friend with you in the game. Stand together, then make your toon jump while looking at your friends screen. You will notice that you will jump on HIS screen a second later ( or so). No matter how good (low) your latency is, you will always have this issue. The current level of technology of residential telecommunication doesnt allow what you're hoping for.... Maybe in 10 years....

    I'd say the server transfer was a successful project when i can still do warzones from 1am to 5am GMT.

  4. I think this may have been a factor in my 5k+ crit, lol.

     

    I usually only hit 4.5~ fully buffed on low-expertise targets.

    I also dont have any BM gear yet. Rolling with Champion earpiece, Implants, and Relics. The rest, Rataka gear.

    I highly suggest everyone to try AP on PvP as it can eat those oh so "imba" pyros alive, thanks to talented interrupt they become almost free kill. :cool:

     

    lol? Real Pyros dont use anything with cast time when fighting 1 v 1.

     

    TD > IM > Railshot crit (4.4k) + TD blowing up (crit 4K) > Electro dart > RP 1.4K> (rail shot proc) 4K > FB > FB > FB till target is dead.

    Like you, I couldnt understand how people got those numbers to reach 4K and 5K; but have faith, is it doable.

     

    First of all, the +End and +Aim stats on PvP gear is terrible compared to Columi and Rakata Gear. Yet, you still need the expertise rating from the pvp gear.

    You need 400 expertise to reach +10% dmg done, -10% dmg taken, and +10% healing done. You dont really need expertise beyond that because boosting that stat to 600 will only give an additional 2% on the pvp stats.Instead, stop stacking expertise at 400 (soft cap).

    Then you need to get around 180-220 surge rating to be at 68%-72% crit multiplier. DO NOT stack surge beyond that rating, the effectiveness will drop exponentially.

     

    Wear 4 pieces of Rakata gear not to mention the bracer and waist to reach 1500-1600 Aim.

     

    Mod your gear to more +power items to have 500+ bonus dmg on ranged and 800+ bonus dmg on tech.

    Rakata weapon and offhand give 1224 tech power.

     

    Profit.

     

     

    (I was having the same issue critting at max to 3.5-3.8K geared with rakata bracer and waist, columi armor and weapons and pvp implants, relics, earpieces. Then i got my hands on rakata MH and OH, and 3/5 armor pieces. Now i crit for 4K, 4.4K with pvp/expertise buff. And I am reaching 300K dmg mark at least 3/5 games. I have 4 ranks to reach battlemaster and 2 pieces short of rakata gear to hit the 5K single hit dmg)

  7. Unfortunately the pvp gear has a lot of accuracy which is a p. terrible stat for Powertechs. I replaced all the acc enhancements with the crafted crit/surge ones.

     

    HOW??? I'm not able to modify my pvp gear! If I Ctrl+RightClick , it just equips/unequips.

    These 3 matches were screenies as I was capturing highest crit hits for me and guildmates.

     

    Only 1 is showing my hit (although it's a good one), but all were good matches.

     

    All 3 were pre-surge nerf.

  9. To the OP, Can you be arsed to share your gear in detail? Including any change in mods that you made?

    Please be more specific than "Rakata/Columi gear"....

     

    I know it will take you a bit of time to set the post up but lots of BHs will thank you for it.

     

    I have also noticed you have BIOCHEM as a crew skill which is also contributing to your high crits/dmg.

     

     

    I'm in Champion/Rakata gear with original mods and I cannot crit past 4.1K with 15% expertise buff and relics turned on. What am i doing wrong???

  10. Is it just me or do our talent trees kind of suck.

     

    While I'm on the subject: Why the hell is Jet Charge (Gap closer, utilizes rocketpack every BH has plainly on their backs, does damage) in the Tank tree and Grapple (Pull to you, no damage, METRIC TON OF THREAT) given to everyone? Doesn't it seem like those should be switched? In PvE it gives a DPS PT no suitable gap closer and in PvP it would be about a wash anyway. What gives on that?

    I do tank as Pyrotech BH in FPs, and i love to utilize the threat generation of grapple; but your point makes much more sense in terms of threat. They dont need to switched. Just buff Jet charge with the same amount of threat.

  11. 1st of all, i was thinking from the endgame raid/operation perspective. So i wouldn't need the 15% speed talent.

     

     

    Yes, you are right in the sense that you will not be seeing high crits with this build, but you will not be wasting dps by using rapid shots in between.

     

    My vision/theorycrafting says you will have a more edge with this build (for fights that will last more than 2 minutes ( avg boss fight 5 min ? )) with a higher stable dmg than peaking spiky dmg

    I think it's great to test against long boss fights.

    You will (almost) never be in high-heat situations and you can spam flame burst to proc railshot. Rapid shots in between skills? Not required!

    Moreover, retractable blade for extra dot.

    and 9% Aim to buff all abilities.

     

     

    Thoughts?

  13. Yep, that mission gave me a major headache last night. I died in the room before the Warden and Blood, and it spawned me in a medical bay a couple of rooms past that, right outside the Bridge door. The door leading back to the Warden was locked, the door leading to the hangar was locked, the Bridge was completely empty, and I had used my Fleet Pass, so I had to wait 16 hours until this afternoon so I could use my Fleet Pass to get out of the locked room.

     

    I submitted a support ticket, which was closed without comment, and left to rot.

     

    Luckily I was able to Fleet recall this afternoon, and complete the mission.

     

    Same issue.

    Was doing that just 10 hours ago.

  14. actually slicing is pretty good it pretty much a controller i use slicing I'm a lv 27 with a slicing of about 225 i make decent amount of credits but i have about 15k right now dude buying a speeder is a good choice but MAN ITS COSTLY 40k for the license and 8k for the cheapest bike also those crafters gotta sell that stuff which i buy since I'm no crafter so if your a slicer you most likely buy better gear since you can't make it ,but just my vies

     

    No one with half a brain will spend money on an item that will be replaced in 2-3 levels.

    I've taken Armormech. So far, I am only helping out friends with their armor. I'm not making profit out of it in any way. The profit will come later during pre-raid.
