  1. Thank you for this information. For taking the risk. :-)

LOL! No “RISK” was required or involved. This information was made available by the developers already.

How much can I level up Altuur zok Adon?

With all of the Companion gifts between the two reward tracks, Subscribers who reach level 100 will be guaranteed to have Altuur zok Adon at Rank 50 Influence by the end of the Season.

How can I level Altuur zok Adon outside of Galactic Seasons?

Just like other Companions, sending Altuur zok Adon on Crew Skill missions will increase his Influence. Additionally, the Commander’s Compendium will increase his influence to Rank 50.

I got Altuur zok Adon to Rank 50 Influence on my main character, but what about leveling him on other characters?

Once you have reached Rank 50 Influence with Altuur zok Adon, you will unlock a new Legacy Unlock that allows you to purchase Altuur’s companion gifts with Credits. Visit Jaleit Nall, located in the Galactic Seasons alcove on the Fleet to purchase the gifts.

  2. Well, it started with a friendly reminder that DST was ending for some in certain regions, followed with another friendly reminder that other regions would still be under DST for a bit more, but then someone got their Boba Fett underoos in a bind and had to make an issue instead of just ignoring something inconsequential whilst telling people to ignore the inconsequential stuff, and now we are here discussing DST on a Star Wars forum because the internet.

But why am I telling myself this?

You made a deliberate statement with a false moral equivalency intended to equate us daylight savings time with a political Quagmire. when I pointed out your intentional application of the word mired was unnecessary you accused me of Trying to derail a thread. just like your statement now you know good and well what you're doing. Otherwise you would have never written the statement.

  3. I did some research and Phoenix employs a noise ordinance that allows construction noise to begin at 5 AM (an hour earlier than most of California). Since I don't live there, I can imagine you would get a lot of angry residents confronting you for disturbing their peace. Police respond to a lot of complaints out here because of the 6:00 start (week days).

Personally, I would only be for dropping daylight savings if the noise ordinance was adjusted to 5 AM. That 1st hour during sunrise is the coolest temperature (the low) of the day. It makes a huge difference if you are working directly in the sun (like a roofer) or working with materials that are affected by temperature.

Earlier you mentioned farming ... I'm not sure what you picture farming to be --- maybe the small family farm far away from cities where they don't have to worry about complaints from neighbors. But when you have a city that is inside a farming community, where thousands of farm workers are employed, they start at sun-up to beat the heat. Some crops can be harvested quietly, but not all of them, so they have to respect the noise ordinance too.

    :):):):):)

  4. actually, it's very beneficial to construction workers and other outdoor labor occupations that have to adhere to general noise ordinances, but want employees to benefit from cooler temperatures (for health, safety, and efficiency reasons) provided early in the morning in hot summer climates. Residents don't want to listen to noise earlier than what is reasonable and without daylight savings in the summer, workers would be wasting that 1st hour of daylight where the temperatures are the coolest and in order to get their 8 hours they would be getting their final hour in the hottest, most dangerous hour of the day.

    :) :) :) :) :)

  5. as did ESO, FFXIV. All of these are either cheaper to play or sub for than SWTOR, or same price. Yet they provide far more content. Pandemic excuse doesn't fly when competition is releasing way more content under the same circumstances and at the same or smaller price.

I know ESO is but is Final Fantasy fully-voiced? I mean there's a big difference between being able to sit at a word processor and pound out a bunch of quests vs having to have people in a recording studio among other things.

  6. I did not use the work arduous. I said mired. Mired, as I said, meaning entangle, involved. An apt word. Until 1 November the US (sans the majority of Arizona and the State of Hawaii) is still under Daylight Saving (no 's) Time. You used the word arduous. Arduous, something that demands great effort, a difficult undertaking, strenuous, or marked by great effort. Which one of us is being less careful with the gravity of our language? I think it is time you stop making an issue out of something of so little import, and stop derailing the thread.

Wow! Just wow! I never said you use the word arduous. I said your descriptive was overly dramatic. no mired is not an appropriate word when describing daylight savings time. Mired can be appropriate when describing political scandals. Mired can be appropriate when describing go nowhere Wars that benefit no one. Mired is absolutely 1000% not appropriate in the context in which you used it. As for what you think concerning me, you're welcome to think what you like. Thankfully, I'm under no obligation to abide by what you think. Have a nice day.

  7. I do not normally reveal such intimate details about myself, but I will say that I am more than a couple decades away from retirement age and am already well familiar with the bureaucracies of which you speak. I am sorry you are having a difficult time during this pandemic, but you are not the only one. My issues go back thirty years. A necessity to wear a mask when in public is nothing new to me. It is not a competition.

You say not to sweat the small stuff, and yet you are trying to make an issue of descriptive language. Perhaps you should take your own advice.

You presented American daylight savings time as some arduous undertaking to be scorned. I simply pointed out that your Overly dramatic misrepresentation was unwarranted. I Illustrated through my own life experience that there are things that actually matter in life and we should be careful about presenting things to be more than what they are. as for a competition. I'm not in a competition. your response where you tell me that you have a similar understanding to my personal situation appears as though you're trying to turn something into a competition that has absolutely nothing to do with the fact and it is a fact daylight savings time as I said above it's not some arduous undertaking around the neck of American citizens. As for taking my own advice. I do take my own advice and I don't consider the gravity of words a small thing. especially at a time when many people take those words to heart without doing their own due diligence.

  8. Yes, in the sense of involved, entangled, hindered rather than a bog or marsh. Although, "bogged down" certainly applies. Contrary to the popular notion, Daylight Saving Time does very little for energy savings, as is often claimed, and has absolutely nothing to do with farmers (another oft cited but fallacious claim). DST is also associated with an increase in heart attacks, auto accidents, and a loss in work productivity, all largely due to the sleep disruption of the time change. The only real advantage to DST is to retailers, who are the most vociferous lobby, at least in the US but likely elsewhere, as well, in favor of continuing the tradition.

    LOL.

Here I was thinking I should be concerned with how I'm going to pay my bills from month to month since I only make half the disability of other people because at the time I got my disability I didn't have the right amount of points, whatever that means. and I also was thinking to myself my wife losing her ability to work due to injury means we have some challenges right now. I have to say you really opened my eyes by showing me just how detrimental it is to set your clocks twice a year. Though you did leave out the part that not the entire United States observes daylight savings time. First world problems I guess. My point is don't sweat the small stuff. Also maybe save words that are intended to add gravity to a situation for situations that should actually have gravity added to them.

  9. That doesn't give access to the Collector's Edition vendor or the rewards (Minimech CE, maybe others).

Good to know. I own the physical collector's edition and it has been a long time. I do know that you can purchase the armband to get to the exclusive area but if I remember right that's about all it does is let you get up there. it doesn't give you access to the vendor.

This being the case, I would be in favor of a digital collector's edition. they could even put the Darth Malgus Holo statue in there.

  10. Ideally, I'd prefer they announce a big new expansion and offer a new CE along with it. Bonuses could include accessing the CE vendor on the fleet, which many players seem to want, as well as some physical goodies of course(art book, soundtrack, etc.).

Is the option to upgrade to the digital Collector's Edition no longer available?

    Looks like it's still there.

  11. Also, open your minimap and check the checkbox to enable exploratory missions. There are repeatable non-heroic missions you can find. Bonus objectives also count toward the 2 mission requirement.

??? I'm aware of the exploratory missions on Korriban. I keep exploratory missions activated. I've never heard of any repeatable exploratory missions. I'm aware of the repeatable Planetary Quests once you're off of the starter worlds. Which exploratory missions on Korriban are repeatable?

  12. at the risk of garnering the usual ire from the swtor.com forum regulars and all their "+ 1" replies in support of an op's topic, i have to disagree once again.

Most people that are called idiots at the very least are morons or better. An idiot would never say something like "i'm an idiot." a real idiot would probably type something like: "im a idiot." so i can only believe that the op has displayed enough evidence to prove he or she has a much higher iq than an idiot, an imbecile, and even a moron.

    So ...

    - 1 (i do not support)

    lol!!!

  13. The epic games store has been giving away free games ever since the service began. they started with the remastered version of Shadow complex. a game being good or not is subjective. That being said, as I look over my collection of 102 free games, it's true there are some that I wouldn't consider the best of the best but most of them are absolute top-tier.
  14. I took my 306 geared lightning sorc and my 306 geared telekinetic Sage respectively into The Foundry and the Maelstrom prison. The only difference between the two experiences as I mentioned above is that in Maelstrom prison the enemies died in 6 seconds and in The Foundry the enemies died in 30 seconds. So, no I'm not seeing how this is really an issue. the opportunity for the gear is the same whether the content is level synced or not. people run Hammer station veteran mode all day long because of this. so it doesn't really sound like your issue is with the Nam level sinking, it sounds like your issue is really with the fact that these flashpoints drop 306 gear at all.

The only real issue with the current syncing issue is the sub level 75 characters not getting XP.

  15. I have to ask. How exactly can this be exploited? I'm not really seeing an exploit.

Let's start with Characters that are under level 75. Because it's not being level scaled the only XP you're gaining is from the mission turn in. Other than that the only difference is that stuff dies faster then in other story modes. so the trade-off is you gain no XP whatsoever from killing the boss but the boss dies faster then it would if it were level synced. so the only thing you really get out of this is getting gear from the bosses in 10 seconds instead of a minute or so. In my opinion the trade-offs are not really worth it.. There's less of a difference if you're level 75 and know your character. The bosses die in less than 10 seconds instead of just under a minute. Not to mention, With the exception of One Piece, the gear I received while on a fully geared 306 was nothing but purple and blue trash.

If This Were Master mode we were talking about I would agree with you.

  16. I've queued as a tank recently w/o realizing it was seeing my toon as a tank. In full DPS gear, in a DPS spec, but just because I'm on an assassin I get put in as a tank by default.

    Sometimes it's just a mistake / oversight.

It's not always a mistake or oversight though. sometimes it's an actual bug in the system. I've been queued as an alternate from DPS on characters even when I have triple checked all my settings and have everything set to DPS only. I know this because this was a bug in the past so I'm a little obsessive-compulsive about it because I never want to make a bad first impression when I'm in a group.
