No commando or Vanguard spec needs to be stationary. Vanguard is 100% mobile, there are literally no casts.
Commando needs to take the utility that allows to cast full auto/boltstorm on the move. Then you are like 80% mobile.
Only half way true! There is one cast: Artillery Blitz! But it is mobile. 😉

I hardly play my Sorcerer anymore and it's my favorite advanced class. It's such a shame, what they've done. Now I only play Mercenary (DPS) and Operative (Heals) because I don't feel useless when in a group.
Thank you, BioWare. You've ruined my favorite advanced class.
It is still possible to play DPS Sorc in almost any situations the game offers. I wouldn't play ranked PvP or any NiM conent. Anything else is just fine. People always forget, that Sorcs/Sages might not be the top damage dealers right now, but also posess a great survivability. Mercs/Commandos are the only AC that can do BOTH better than Sorcs (or any other class).

And here I am blessed with healers who can't keep me alive even on HM.
Funny thing is, I know a lot of healers who complain about tanks that don't know their DCDs.
-
You would go far away from demon hunter if you were smart. They're crippled on the PTR now. That other company's most recent swath of changes has all but destroyed Havoc's boss damage. They are now nothing more than cleave bots.
Thanks for the update. Haven't checked the latest news on the game.
As for SWtOR 5.0 I think of sticking with either my Lightning Sorc and Carnage Mara or Rage Jugg.
-
I'd suggest either rogue, feral druid or frost death knight.
You'd shy away from Frost DK and chose Demon Hunter if you were smart. 😉
-
I'll stick with my Lightning Sorc. Why? Sorcs were good, bad, mediocre since release. It doesn't matter to me because I enjoy playing that class.

but i get to keep my ability to switch gas cylinders right? and i can still uppercut people with my merc? switching gas cylinders was crucial to my solo strategy in PvE with my merc healer. i would appreciate it, if you didnt take away my ability to choose.
Seems line they keep the cylinders as they are, at least for now. I have a bad feeling about this when I look at the Assa/Shadow tanks and their stances (which will become passives afaik).

My release day PT - who is inactive since chapter 6 - will most likely have a very long vacation.
First you took orbital strike from my agent and now I'll be stripped of my flamethrower soon too. Shame on you Bioware!

Serendipitous Assault and Focused Retribution would be your relics of choice. One gives you +power and one +mastery.
-
If it's still in the game, you could only get it as random world drop or from the trade market.
-
Do nit judge any class/spec before you hit at least level 40.
My Shadow runs currently in Deception spec. I played a lot of Kinetic Combat/Serenity too and liked both.
Serenity/Hatred took a big hit when they nerfed the self heal. Otherwise it's still ok for most of the content.
TL;DR
All specs work fine later in the game.

It depends on personal preferences. My main has been a PT since there were skill trees to chose from and all I can say is that it's a really good PvE class (tank and DD) and it's a really good for PvP. Burst is still good (if you do not go Pyrotech) and you are pretty durable.

Hehe its one of my most favorite points in the inquisitor storyline, I keep thinking to myself, Harkun, I once said that one day I would be strong enough to crush you and you told me I would never be strong enough, how wrong you were, meet your doom you insignificant worm! *loud crackling sound followed by the satisfying screams of Harkun in his death throes*
Storywise it does not make sense to kill Harkun. He was hard on the Inquisitor and treated him unfair. In the end he made the Inqusitor stronger. There is no reason to kill such a person afterwards.

Confirmed this is a BUG!
I just got a ticket response and received both items in the mail, along with an apology for the wait time and inconvenience. I also got 200 cartel coins.
If you encounter the bug DO put in a ticket.
Happened to me too. I had not been rewarded with the lightsaber.
I got that item about two weeks after creating a ticket.

Ling uses plenty of other lightening. The entire bar is basically purple images of purple lightening bolts on it.
Played through both stories twice (Sage/Sorc & Assa/Shadow).
I like the Sith Inquisitor more. The female voice is much better (and less boring). The animations are better for SI and it's more fun to play as a LS SI than it is to play LS Consular.
-
I prefer the animations of the Merc - my Commando's animations always looked a bit clunky.
Also found the Trooper "Gung ho" Special Forces theme and story yawn inducing.
^This! Plus I really hate that assault cannon.

Hi , what build would be the easiest for rotation please ?

You can't have macros in SWtoR. I could think of some 3rd party tools who could work, but that could be a violation of the EULA.
-
A sage can clear all the HM content without much drawback. If someone were to deny you for just that, its a bit unfortunate. And NiM content is only worth doing if you are in a group you are familiar with, so that shouldn't impact your decision at this point.
That's it!
You shouldn't have any problems playing a DD Sage/Sorc until you hit the nightmare content.
As DD Sage/Sorc you can still do enough damage to help your group clear any HM content.
-
I did both and I can't say one is better than the other.
My suggestion would be to play both, Sorc and Assa.
-
The helm is purchaseable on imp fleet or dromand kass market area... the vendor that sells lvl 8 moddable gears has it as a sorc starter helm now, lvl 8.
As for the saber, I don't see any way to get it at this time.
That won't solve any problems, as those quest rewards were removed too AFAIK.
I'm glad that I kept the Saber and the mask for my Sorc but was really disappointed not to get the lightsaber for my assassin...

PT Pyrotech or Carnage Mara habe some procs as well.

What spec should I choose for fast leveling? Lightning or Madness?
Thanks
Lightning. It's pretty easy to do enough damage in lightning spec to get through the content including H2 missions. You should also consider, that lightning has the better AoE damage, which is blessing for clearing all the trash mobs.
Madness is a good choice for more experienced players, especially in PvP.
-
Let's just say that any spec is viable. And anyone who thinks that Shadow/Assa is a late bloomer should try getting a Mara to 60...
What if everything was level 70

Well it kinda works during the first chapter of KotFE. Why not starting with level 70 and have your char progression tied to your advancement in the character story!?
I really would like to have the old end-of-chapter-3 fights back. Just recently finished the Warrior story again and my opponent survived for 7 seconds netto fighting time. It‘s nothing like it was in the beginning, when you had fought for over 10 minutes (I needed 20 minutes on my first Inquisitor for the final fight).
EDIT: The Tournament and Herioc Star Fortresses were a step in the right direction, as those fights are actually challenging when you do them with bad equipped characters.
